I called about an LG refrigerator I wish I had never bought, but that horse is out of the barn. I thought the cooling section was not running cool enough (the freezing section is (barely) okay). After explaining my observations, Steve explained some things about temperature variation in refrigerators and indicated it was probably doing the best it could. No repair would improve performance. He said he could come and look at it, but that would cost me a $90 service call and probably yield nothing. We discussed the situation a bit more and I decided to take his phone advice, rearrange the food in that section, and see what happens. I also told him that if ANY appliance in this house needed attention, he is the first person I will call. He has earned my loyalty and he has never put a hand on anything here! Directly, at least. I am gratified and impressed with this kind of honesty. I'll be in touch, Steve.

The tech spent about 5 minutes cleaning out the soap tray and hose. Then quoted us $700 to fix the frig. No thank you I got it fixed at another repair service for $425 parts and installation He charged us$270 for cleaning out the soap tray What a rip I am in a wheelchair , retired and we live on a fixed income. if I was able to I would have fixed it myself that's a price difference of $350 , that's a lot of money to us I would not recommend them as their prices are way out of line The other appliance company said that that soap dispenser service call with them would have cost $150. Absolutely recommend!!!! You don't find businesses like this anymore. Edwin was FANTASTIC!!!!…read moreWe've been having issues with our 20 year old Kitchen Aid built-in refrigerator for several months. The water dispenser and icemaker stopped working. My husband repairs everything in our home. He was an engineer. He's replaced parts, torn apart assemblies, poured through service sheets and the internet and has been unable to fix this issue. We were hesitant to call anyone, because we had a bad experience years ago, where another appliance repair group told us on the phone that it would be a $250 charge to come to our house to diagnose a problem on our washing machine, and then if they could fix it, the repair cost of parts and labor would probably be over $500, on top of that diagnosis fee. That was more than the washing machine originally cost. My husband got on the internet and figured out the issue and repaired it with a $20 part from Amazon in 30 minutes. My husband did not want to make a call for outside help, but I insisted. We needed professional assistance. After much research, we found Appliance Works, a family owned company that had fantastic reviews online. We called them to schedule an appointment to come out and diagnose the problem. The diagnosis service call was to cost $95, and it would be applied towards any repair costs. After our other experience, this sounded like a dream. The day of the appointment, the technician, Edwin, was right on time. He was sharp, knowledgeable, and professional. To make a long story short, he spent almost three hours working on our problem. He even got Brett, the owner, on the phone when he couldn't figure out the issue after 2 hours, and Brett was right there to support him in thinking through the possible issues. When is the last time you encountered a company whose owner gave that kind of support to his field personnel? We thought they were going to tell us that we owed more, but at the end, the bill was only $95. They gave us a quote for repairs and applied the $95 against that quote. We now have a working refrigerator again. This is an awesome company and they hire incredible people. The owner supports his people in a way that you just don't encounter in most businesses today. We can't say enough about them. Don't look any further; just call them if you need help with an appliance.

I highly recommend Jerret for his knowledge on repairs great guy very professional and courteous !read more
