One of the best Indian food experiences I've ever had. From the rice to the curries, naan, mango Lassi, puri, everything was top notch. Also we stayed a few minutes past closing and we weren't rushed in any way. The service was awesome, food came out quickly. Be prepared to sweat a little because the spice builds up really quickly. Oh my gosh, everything we ordered was fantastic!! We got the following, to-go: - Chicken 65 - Chicken Tikka - Chicken Tikka Masala - Vegetable Biryani - Naan - Roti - Saag paneer The Chicken Tikka & Tikka Masala were really outstanding and so flavorful: the best renditions of both dishes I have ever had. Also was a big fan of the spicy green chutney that came with the food! But really everything was fresh, wonderfully spiced, and delicious. And we really got large portions for the amount paid. Well worth another visit! They are definitely doing dine-in right now, which I didn't realize when I initially placed the order (still trying to be extra careful for my household, since pandemic and all), but they were very kind to bring the order out curbside upon request. read more

while searching for someplace new i saw a sign reading "La Qilla" (the second L's light was out). Thinking it was Mexican or some kind Spanish restaurant, my friend and I stopped here. We went in the door to find nobody there, going further we were spotted by about 30 Indians playing cards, very scary. Explained I was looking for the restaurant which they said was next door. Sure enough there's a sign pointing to the restaurant and not the gambling area we went into. The restaurant was completely empty with a big screen TV playing India television and movies. The waiter greeted us and sat us down. The decor is nice with red carpet and very clean white tablecloths. The place smelled great and got the appetite going strong. The menu was all very new to us but our waiter explained the dishes. We ordered two nan breads, some rice, some goat and chicken. We really wanted to try everything as they all looked really good and also really spicy. The nan arrived and was cooked to perfection. Very soft and very large taking up the entire plate. When the actual meat arrived it was complete heaven. Such amazing taste on the goat, I want to say it even rivals even Istanbul's. The chicken was great too and oh man the sauce is perfect and just spicy enough. Mix that together with the nan and rice and you're in total food orgasm mode. I would have ordered more but between the two of us the dishes filled us both up. This place would be much better with a large group so that you can sample everything at least once. We paid for our meal and asked how come this place was so empty. He explained that they've been around for over 12 years. They also said that they would allow us to BYOB as they don't have a liquor license. We agreed to come back which we did not even a few weeks after and strangely again it was completely empty. This place definitely needs more attention as it is some of the best Indian food I have ever tried. Give this place a chance and bring a lot of friends to sample all of the amazing flavors they have. Our friends loved this place and brought us here. They were raving about the nihari and biryani so we ordered chicken and lamb biryani, nihari, chicken haleem, paneer curry and sizzler platter. It took really long time for them to bring it out and we were one of 2 tables there. The biryani had too much garam masala, I didnt enjoy it at all, same thing with the nihari.The haleem was the most disappointing dish. I only enjoyed the kabob platter and chai. I visited this restaurant based solely on the great reviews I read about it. That and a craving for good food with spice and flavor. I was not disappointed. Can you drive past this place without ever seeing it? Sure. Does the exterior of the building downplay what waits inside? Absolutely. The restaurant decor is no frills and there isn't a ton of ambiance to speak of. But, your tastebuds are well rewarded when you experience the food. The butter chicken is creamy and delicious with just enough spice to keep your mouth tingling. The lamb vindaloo was really really good too. Worth big chucks of potatoes and lamb you can't go wrong with it. The garlic naan is a must have; Perfectly cooked to that crispy yet still soft in the middle consistency. I tried the keema naan for the first time. It's filled with mildly spiced lamb and can be a meal by itself. The only thing better than the food was the amazing family that runs the restaurant. I had a great conversation with the owner and some of his kids. I even got to witness the whole family sitting down and eating together after their religious fast ended. This is probably one of the best traditional Indian place. A lot of Options for non veg however they make veg stuff and that too amazing!! It feels like at home. CUSTOMERS BE AWARE! This by far has to be the worst operating Indian Restaurant in Georgia. Where to start... 1. The so called managers barely knows how to communicate with customers. The 2 idiots say they are brothers but don't even communicate to each other or any customers. The one or 2 customers that did show up to restaurant had to go in the back to get their attention while they were watching TV. 2. There is no cook/staff in the back. It's just them 2 running around. 3. Went there for a dinner rehearsal, so they rented out the banquet hall. The table cloth and chair covers hasn't been washed in months. It smelled and looked disgusting. 4. There banquet hall was falling apart... holes in the ceiling, carpet wasn't vacuumed, had a very foul smell throughout the banquet hall, air conditioner did not work at all (told us they would turn on the fans) 5. Let's talk about professionalism. Again the 2 idiots would be in the back of the restaurant watching TV with their legs on the tables where customers eat. When would would ask about the AC, they would say we have too many people, when they knew it's was going to be 170 people. When we asked to dim the lights they would mumbled "I Coming" 10 -15 mins go by and no sign of them. Also in the contracted we asked for service people to help out. They claimed he didn't know such thing. His exact quote was "I get Mexicans now, 10 minutes, but extra charge" So throughout the event that night, we ended up refilling our food from the back and restocking our own supplies. 6. When it was time to leave we cleaned up our own area. They were so gracious enough to bring garbage bags so we can walk it to the dumpster. In the middle of cleaning while we still had about 60 guest still there the 2 idiots decides to walk though the banquet hall with bottles of alcohol in front of our guest to see how far along we are to clean up. 7. Cleanliness of the restaurant is horrible. After seeing the condition of the plates and forks/spoon. We sent out a few of our people to go buy supplies like paper plates, spoons/forks and napkins for our guest. Also after seeing the condition of the restaurant in the back. I have no idea how they are in service. I am no Health Inspector, but I was truly disgusted how they manage the back kitchen. In all honesty, I don't really post reviews on yelp, but customers need to be aware of the type of business they are running. Zero stars. It is wit h a heavy heart that i write this review. Being a business owner myself; I take written reviews with a grain of salt. I called last Sunday to check their hours and I was told that they were closed because they had rented the entire restaurant for a banquet. I thought that was a curious business decision because conventional wisdom says that you cannot ride two horses at the same time. If you have 2 horses(restaurant and banquet) you need a different rider/staff to run both business. This guy just closes the restaurant and focuses on the bigger ticket. Ok so I called today, (Sunday) I WAS TOLD THAT THEY OPENED AT 5. we get there around 6 (8 of us) and we were told that they were closed because they had a banquet. This is preposterous! This experience was so painfully awkward. We came here because of the raving reviews on how good the food was. Walked into what looked like an empty banquet hall. Two men watched us curiously and I said, "is this a restaurant?" One of them said yes and took us to a table. Didn't give us menus, so we walked over and got some from the counter. I asked for a smoothie, which is listed on the menu, but the man was very confused, so I pointed to it on the menu and he only got more confused. So, we just guessed at what we were ordering and hoped it would be good. The food was good, but we felt so uncomfortable that we couldn't wait to leave. No windows in the room, no music playing, no decor, no employees, and no patrons. On the way out, saw that the health score was 85. I don't see myself going back. read more
