Don't judge this place by the somewhat bland appearance of the frontage. GREAT sandwiches made with super-FRESH ingredients. I strongly suggest that you give them a try. read more

Oh. Emm. Gee. So glad we decided to stop in for a bite in between baseball games. Nothing better than a family owned spot that KNOWS how to make a good sammie! We ordered The Texas Italian and a build-your-own. The sammies - 15/10. So dang tasty! There were a couple of other customers ahead of us, and one pair enjoying their lunch. I did notice that their online ordered were lined up. My guess, this place is a hot spot for door dash!! All of the employees were friendly, and busy. HIGHLY recommend this spot if you're lookin for a top notch sammie! read more

I have always had a good experience with the quality of food and friendly service. My only complaint is the meat and veggie area always looks messy. I feel like it's not cleaned up on a regular basis. It's not super appealing. But staff is always super friendly and the sandwich is good. read more

just like you would expect after a couple years, they've lost their spark... Had the large club, when I home discovered the bread was so hard and hurt the roof mouth. It was stale, not much meat on it, and the worst part was when I picked up my $16 sandwich. The guy stood there waiting to see what my tip was and gave me a smirk. I don't tip when I have to stand up in order obviously he doesn't agree with that. I'll never go back if it was seven dollars I'd say yeah that was fair but 16 bucks for a sandwich on stash bread, the bacon was like plastic it really was you can tell it was store-bought pre-cooked. I threw it all away before I even ate the sandwich after one bite. read more

Best subs in central Texas. Seriously. Plentiful meat and fresh ingredients. Reminds us of the deli's up north in our Italian neighborhoods.

One of the best sandwiches I've had, if not THE top best one ever. Locally owned place, service was fast and very friendly, and was delicious. 10/10 would recommend read more

Possibly one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. The meat was delicious and everything on the sandwich was so fresh. This place is nowhere near my house but I would be willing to drive out here again just for another sandwich. read more

Blatantly shady and ethically bankrupt business practices. The other day, I ordered two regular meatball subs--identical, no add-ons--expecting fair pricing. Instead, I was charged $11 each. Later, I found out that a large sub (twice the size) is only $15. When I asked why they didn't mention it, the response was jaw-dropping: "Management doesn't like us to tell people about that." I get it if the guy just forgot to mention it, then that's on me, but to confirm it's a shady a$$ directive from ownership / management, that's crazy. For a small-town business that depends on community support, this level of dishonesty is pathetic. It's not about the $5--it's about integrity. That response exposed a small piece of what kind of operation they're running. They won't see another cent from me. And here's where their greed comes back to bite them--I'm making sure everyone I know in this town knows how they operate. Businesses that choose to deliberately scam their customers don't deserve community support. read more

I previously gave 5 stars but damn, what is this small ass Cheesesteak for $14 bucks? It wasn't even good... so small. When they handed me the bag, my heart sunk, I knew it was Highway robbery and I just got scammed. Do better Lakeside Subs, do better. This thing should have been $5 bucks at most, so tiny, like a sandwich for a toddler. read more

Lakeside Subs - Shitty, $14 dollar Philly cheese steak that was the size of a hot dog. - Sandwiches Near Me - Lago Vista, Texas

Always a perfect sub. Love the fresh bread. And the freshly cut deli meats. Service is top notch too. Very clean place.

Last time I went here they had a bunch of different kinds of scrap meat pulled up on the meat slicer it was disgusting. They were taking a long time to get to my order and I kept looking at that nasty pile of meat. I turned around and walked out. Only takes a second to clean up after yourself. read more

Subs are good. Prices are ok- could be a little less. Great military/veteran deal to combo your sandwich.

Excellent sub shop but don't phone in your orders. The owner has forbidden calls for some weird reason yet, the phone is still on the website. I walked in totally frustrated due to time wasted trying to place an order. read more

I have visited Lakeside Subs twice since it's recent opening. Both times I was very pleased with the sandwiches that I ordered. Staff is really friendly and accommodating and thank each person for coming in. That's something nice you don't always see with new places. You can build your own or order one of the regular sandwiches from their menu. Even the regular sandwiches can be customized with whatever added toppings you like to add. I was pleased with a much-needed sandwich place in Lago Vista and with high-quality ingredients. I have ordered the Lakeside Club with turkey, roast beef, bacon, cheddar, tomatoes, onion and chipotle mayo. I was also able to add at no additional up charge caramelized onions, spinach and pepperoncini. They have a great selection of fresh add on veggies. On my second visit I was I ordered the melt sandwich with turkey, ham, cheese and customized the veggies I liked! Both sandwiches were delicious and highly recommended. Next time I find myself nearby, I will definitely stop in read more

Delicious sandwich! They fresh slice their meat which is awesome. Good variety of chips and toppings. Would definitely come back

Lakeside subs did not disappoint. The overall experience was amazing. After seeing some other reviews we were curious how it would go. But the negative comments couldn't have been further from the truth. There was a ton of meat on the sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. Staff was all kind and friendly. And the snickerdoodle cookie was amazing!! We will definitely be back. So nice to see a local family run business that has a good product to match! read more

First time trying out Lakeside Subs and was very impressed. Everything looked fresh, the meat is sliced as they make the sandwiches. I ordered two large build your own sandwiches. To me the prices were reasonable for the area. There are other comparable sub shops in Cedar Park that would charge as much or more. I am happy to know that this is in Lago Vista. The service was very good also. They had a steady stream of customers at 2 pm and there were two employees that worked to make the sandwiches. The restaurant is clean, which is always a good thing. I would definitely come here again when the sandwich craving hits. I do like to support local businesses and hope they keep up the quality of food and reasonable pricing. read more

They sell bagels in the morning now and they are delicious. I had the Lago Lox bagel. Fantastic! Reminded me of East Coast, when I used to slice lox at Bloomingdale's. Thanks for bringing these to Lago. Their subs are really good as well. If you get anything via delivery service sometime will get left out, so go pick anything up here yourself. read more

Great sandwich shop that's open everyday in a small lake town. The shop is very clean and they are quite generous with the meats, which is nice. Everything looks fresh and there are a lot of veggie and sauce/spread options. I like that they offer to toast your bread and have a good selection of cold and hot sandwich options. read more

The sub was good bit pricey And the service was great and recommended to the people in Lago Vista read more

Updated to respond to owner, This was ordered when it was a special and there was no pricing on the wall for this item, I would agree that if you know the price and still order it then it is on the individual but if you order the special that's not even on the menu it was a picture that I ordered no additional information. I am not knocking the business as you say just providing my opinion and providing information to people looking at going here. read more

The staff is always friendly, ingredients are always fresh. My only complaint is that my sandwiches are usually pretty dry. I usually get the turkey sub and they either forget to put honey mustard or they do a minuscule amount. Other than that, great spot and great subs. read more

I assume the owners saw the previous reviews and adjusted because our sandwiches were over filled with meat and veggies. We ordered the Italian and "build your own" and both were filling and tasted extremely fresh. Pricing aligns with other sandwich chains, if anything maybe slightly cheaper and most definitely more fresh. Great sandwich overall and I really appreciated seeing the meat being freshly sliced, it added a "deli fresh" type of experience. read more

I would always go to Subway, Cedar Park, until Lakeside Subs opened in Lago Vista, and they offer a variety of sandwiches. My favorites is the Italian with LOTS OF spinach, red onions and olives. Lakeside Subs is very generous with their meats and extras. Go to Lakeside Subs for a great sub! read more

I really want to give Lakeside Subs a 3, but they're trying and they're new so I'll hope they'll step up to the plate. For some reason the owners have decided to slice the meat for each sandwich when it's ordered which makes the wait time really long. There were probably 8 people in line in front of me and 4 behind and two gave up and walked out. As for the sandwich, it's true the meat is skimpy. The bread is very doughy and not what I expected. There was more bread than sandwich. I have high hopes for Lakeside Subs. I really hope they can work the kinks out. We need restaurants like this in Lago Vista. ETA - Two weeks or so after my initial review, I went back to Lakeside Subs to see if things were settling down. It was better in the respect that the sandwich makers were not overwhelmed and seemed to have gotten a rhythm. The line was moving quicker. The male owner was still slicing the meat for each sandwich, but the next maker was ready when he passed along a sandwich. She had the sides added and the total rung up quickly. As for the sandwich itself? Meh describes it pretty well. Considering it's the only sub game in town people who live here are quick to say the sandwiches are amazing. However, I disagree. The meat AND the cheese are still skimpy and the bread is still doughy. I bought a large and only ate half. Im still hoping the quality will improve. read more

We tried this place twice I like their food and do recommend. Their ingredients are very fresh especially the meats are freshly cut as you order. We tried a couple - big boat; super Italian, the melt, etc. My favorite is the super Italian because the meats more flavorful. So happy we got to try Lakeside Subs! I had the North Shore Reuben and my husband got the Super Italian. Both sandwiches were so delicious--very fresh bread and ingredients. The meats and veggies were so tasty and did not need any additional seasoning. The owners are super nice, and are very excited to bring a new restaurant to this great town. I am sure they have a big hit on their hands! We will definitely be going back to try more! read more

We throughly enjoy Lakeside Subs!! We've been working our way down the menu. Instead of the sub in a sandwich, we've been getting our subs as a salad. Our favorites are: The Big Boat, Lakeside, and Italian. The flavor is amazing!! Get the chipotle, mayo on the side. So flavorful. We walk away feeling we had amazing value for our money. The service is consistent with friendly staff. read more

I love lakeside subs! Especially that roadhouse one, very tasty! And the staff is always so friendly!

We love lakeside! Ever since they have opened we have been there probably 8 or so times. You can't beat the quality of the ingredients they have. Always super nice. I also love how they cut the meat in front of you so you can tell the freshness of it. 20/10 recommend! read more
