Okay, look. This place is amazing. If you haven't been, you need to go. Come and eat the Arepa…read more Get the pork belly one. Get the Aleida's sauce on the side. Ask for extra napkins. Go on, I'll wait. See?!?! You're welcome. The Arepas are the most amazing, delicious, gluten free food I ever eaten. And that sauce?? I want to drink it. The cheese in the arepa... oh my. Seriously. Congratulations, you now have a bucket list goal - to try all of the arepas. I am slowly (since I keep trying a new one and then going back to the pork belly, try new one, repeat) but surely working my way through them all. And they're incredible.

My husband and I came here for dinner and we decided to sit outside…read more I wasn't very hungry so I ordered their single taco with al pastor shrimp, which was an extra $2.99 and lime/guac for an extra 50 cents (on top of the single taco, which was $4.50). My husband ordered their burrito, which came with chips and a cheese dip on the side. Their shrimp was good; nothing special. I did ask to try aleida's sauce, which many people liked on yelp, but we liked their green sauce the most! Overall, very cute and colorful restaurant; loved all the decor. The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. My taco wasn't worth more than $5, tbh, and we paid close to $9..given it was shrimp, but we've had much better shrimp tacos elsewhere for less. I wish I had a photo of my poor taco, but I totally forgot to take a picture :/

Los Panas is a family owned Venezuelan food truck in the Anderson Mill International Food Park with…read moretasty empanadas and a delicious sauce to add on the side! FAST FACTS: * Parking: decent size lot near the food park but it can be hard to find a spot when it's busy * Walk up and order at the truck... you'll get a pager to let you know when your order is ready * Outdoor seating: lots of picnic tables around the truck * Accepts credit cards * Closed Monday and Tuesday SERVICE: The workers were friendly for the most part. I ordered at 6:53 pm on a Friday night and my order was ready at 7:04 pm. There was no line when I ordered. PRICING: The total was $8.65 after tax ($0.66) but before tip for a pabellon empanada ($7.99). I feel like the pricing was in line with the other food trucks in the park. PABELLON EMPANADA (6/10) - The empanada dough was a great thickness and was fried well. There is plenty of filling but the shredded meat was one big hunk that was hard to chew and there was one big piece of fried plantain. I would have preferred the meat and plantain to be spread throughout the empanada instead of in a single bite. I probably wouldn't order this again but would like to try other items they offer like the arepas. I wanted to give Los Panas 3.5 stars overall but bumped it up to 4 because the green sauce they have is DELICIOUS! I'm happy I tried Los Panas but wouldn't rush to come back or necessarily recommend it as a must try in the food park.

While filling, I thought these arepas were ok tastewise…read more I had the Pabellon and the top half of my arepa was really good. It had a good amount of meat, and the sweet plantain balanced out the savory cheese. But after that top layer, it's just densely packed beans with no flavor. And it just became a chore to eat. I wish the toppings were a bit more evenly distributed or even that the beans were flavored. My friend got the Catira and she didn't finish hers either so I tried a bite. While the cheese was really salty, the chicken didn't have much flavor.

I went with the mall location and I liked it. The idea is cool: it's a waffle shell with ice cream…read moreand extras - looks like a taco, tastes like Bluebell. Hey, people love their bluebell ice cream in Texas! There are plenty of options for tacos, I liked the peanut butter one, it was good. You can also order a custom made sweet taco, kinda feels almost like one of the frozen yogurt places. The only downside of this place for me is the hours, it's closed on some days, and the rest of the week - it works some hours. You really gotta check out the schedule before heading out there!

I came to this location with Thing One last Friday for his 15th birthday surprise…read more We ordered two tacos; a small and large size. Thing one ordered the cookie monster taco ice-cream taco. This taco was the right mix of sweet and cookie. He enjoyed this treat but he was expecting something more than Blue Bell ice-cream in a waffle cone shell shaped like a taco. I ordered the Doughn't be Salty small taco. I enjoyed my taco and as it was nice and sweet without being overly sweet. Would I order this again, I'm not sure....here's why, I am not to keen on the idea of spending $14.00 on two treats that I could have made at home for a fraction of the price. For me, this is the type of place that I may come to once a year when I am in the mood to splurge. #supportlocal
