The whole place is really shaded with tons and tons of trees, so it still felt pretty comfortable even with the heat, and my dogs had a great time running around, which was the main thing for me. They have separate areas for small and large dogs, which I really liked. The large dog area is covered in mulch, not really my favorite surface, but it still looked well kept whereas the small dogs areas was all grass. There's also a walking trail that goes around the park, which is a nice bonus if you want to walk a bit before or after letting your dog play.

This is an expansive, beautiful park. There are baseball fields, soccer fields, football fields,…read moretwo playgrounds, fishing ponds, and trails. We have not had a chance to walk the trails yet, so I will have to update my review once we do. In regards to the playgrounds, one is a small little structure near the baseball fields and the other is a large, spread out structure that can be accessed through the second entrance into the park (NOT S Field Dr.). The playground has a small fence that runs nearly fully around it, with openings for entering and exiting. There is plenty to do, including lots of "spinney things" that my kids love. The design of the structure itself is top notch. Bark bottom. Benches are situated within the fence, circling the playground or parents can sit under the covered pavilion behind the playground. The park is beautiful and the playground is fun, but there are two negatives: 1. Lack of shade 2. Bathrooms far away from playground The play structure has limited shade covering the slide areas, which probably help to keep the equipment from getting burning hot, but there is no shade otherwise. I hope the trees they planted around the playground will grow into massive shade trees, but for now they aren't doing a thing. The bathroom is far from the playground. It's a long walk for little legs, and some parents might not feel comfortable leaving their little kids on the playground for a quick run to the bathroom, because it's not really that quick. Also, when I went, there were allllllll kinds of cicadas in the bathroom: swimming in the toilet and crawling all over the sinks. LOTS. I haven't lived in Texas long and am new to Cicadas, so I can't say if this is a sign of poor sanitation or just par for the course, but I thought it was worth noting.

I had to take them up the street for a bath before I could bring them home and was sad from the smell in my car. Why don't the full it up with rocks or something to get rid of it? Please! The owners also all seem to get along, its nice to be able to see friendly faces you recognize and are also happy to see you and your pup. The grass is always manicured and the trash is taken out. We have encountered once that the poop bags ran out, but that was a one off instance. Overall, this is the best park in the area and we drive over from Valley Ranch. We have tried all the others in the area and find this is worth the extra couple minutes drive.

This park has a section for large and small dogs under 30 pounds. I always bring my toy poodle where my GoldenDoodle goes - he's used to giant of dogs and stays close to me, as he's 8 years old and doesn't play much. I just love the space my #50 Doodle had to run around! It's simple and clean and from what it looks like, a safe part of town. There's a daycare next door - and I didn't see any weirdos around! This will probably be my go-to park, until I find something else comparable.
