The cappuccino was pretty good and we came for some ice cream also. Had the creme brûlée and tiramisu. It is not made in house but rather it's from the London Ice Cream Company. So can't really grade the ice cream though there was a good selection of choices. The service was so so nothing special. There were no other customers in the cafe when we arrived. The ambiance was simple and plain but the jazz music that was playing made it a lovely spot to sit & chat with another person or just going there as a solo patron. Visited on a sunday evening and it was very chaotic. The staff were taking orders all over the place from people who just walked in vs those that were waiting. We got 2 lemonades which were just average, more on the sour side. The croissant was good. A little pricey but that's expected given the area we were in. If the staff are better trained, it would help make the ordering process much easier. read more

Very happy to have visited this lovely little coffee house on my way back from the beach! I ordered the double espresso on ice (hot just the right spot), the large iced latte (very creamy) and the gelato. The gelato was silky, flavourful, and made in house! This coffee spot has a wide variety of different lattes to choose from. I came in during the holiday season and there were plenty of seasonal/Christmas drinks. My drink itself was good but it was not mixed properly so all of the syrup and sweetness was on the bottom and it tasted bitter for the first couple sips. I thought that was a bit odd that I had to stir it myself. Other than that the presentation of the marshmallows on top was a cute touch and the seating area in the cafe is quite nice. read more

Great little spot in a prime location on the corner of Brant and Lakeshore Rd. The staff are amazing and so friendly it makes you want to keep coming back. The coffee is sensational; I stayed across the street at the Waterfront Hotel and they had free coffee there, I chose to pay for a cup over here as it was so much better. Coffee was quite good. Atmosphere is neutral. Small but cute place. HOWEVER you cannot sell day olds pastries for full price!!! The staff actually microwave pastries before serving. This is what I do at home when I buy day olds for half price...come on. Also the quality of the cinnamon bun I had was meh! Not bad and not good. read more

From the outside, it looks a bit dingy and I thought it was just a small takeout place, even when you look through the window. Then as you walk in, you'll notice a slightly elevated level with a few couches and tables where you can sit and chill with a friend. I had a Chai Tea latte with almond milk and it was pretty good, but the atmosphere is relaxing and you can just chill with a friend here. A bit of a small business/library/bookstore feel to it. The location is right by Lakeshore and Spencer Smith, making it one of the most ideal locations for a coffee shop come spring and summer. The interior has a great aesthetic, very cozy and homey. There is also an extended seating area to the right of the storefront. There is an outdoor seating area as well too at the front entrance. I enjoy the lattes and teas, they are always well done and enjoyable. I haven't bothered to try the food though. Overall, the aesthetic, location and quality of coffee make it a great spot to drop by if you are in the area. read more

This is my third set of ownership attending Lakeshore Coffee House. Having met Debbie and Vlanos, I can honestly say that the "neighbourhood coffee shop" vibe is alive and well! They have added their own touches to the venue, but it retains its charm. The latte was up to par.... But the home made tiramisu... Come here for this and you will be as hooked as I am now. Worst coffee ever stay away. Hand an americano..i asked them what type of beans they had and they thought I was from anither planet. Taste like cheap beans. Any $1 coffee taste a thousand times better. All of their special drinks come over automated machine taste like poo. Bottom line save your hard earned $$$ and go to a real coffee shop that prepares it by hand not one that uses a manual machine as a prop and hits a button. read more

Once is too many times. Decaf coffee tasted awful. An Americano. Not sure how fresh the beans were. Went out on their patio to chat with a friend. As we were leaving I went inside and asked to be directed to their washroom. "It's closed." But I said, you sell liquid refreshments and your washroom is closed? " You can go to the gas station (2 blocks away) or to the porta potties in front of the hotel...." Really? What an adorable coffee shop! My friend was puppy sitting a little dog and one of the staff members was nice enough to unchain the patio and bring out cushions for us despite it being winter. We both had the veggie sandwich and it was fresh and delish! This place has so much charm, is super cozy and has a certain je ne sais quoi! I can't believe I'd never been to it before yesterday!
