Bathrooms were well kept with several different buildings through out the campground, timed showers with very warm water. Two playgrounds , the one by the main office is AMAZING, our kids spent hours playing and having fun. Stocked store, Rec hall, with rentable yard games, weekend activities. Pool. The only complaint I have would be the location of the electrical hook ups for the weekend campsites, compared to the fire pit, I felt as if we needed to move our camper further away and fun the extension cord because I was afraid of the fire being to close. Also the campsite we had was not very level, so we had to use several stabilizers to get one side high enough to level out. I didn't take many pictures because we were busy outside playing, but we really did enjoy our stay. ****Also make sure to be aware of their visitor policy and prices*****

It is gated. I prefer adult campgrounds (yes, I like children)...but it was large enough that I had a quiet spot under the trees. Brie and I always appreciate a dog park! I would love to go back.

I'm just extremely confused on why we still have these stigmas in 2025 and think it needs to be changed. Dogs attitudes are a product of the owners training. Just because a specific dog breed needs more stimulation, enrichment and training to behave correctly does not mean all dogs that belong to that breed are aggressive. Unless you have a golden retriever, i'd steer clear of this place.

The little store they had also was well stocked with campaign essentials... forgot ketchup? don't worry... they have it and if i recall it was like $2 for the bottle... Just came back from a weekend I Acorn Acres Campground in Bozrah Connecticut what a wonderful…read moreexperience we were looking for a place close to home and it had everything that we were looking for the sites were very clean the people were friendly the facilities were nice and tidy I love the wooded sites we played mini golf and swam in the pool , played basketball with grandson, the camp store came in handy for eggs that were forgotten and of course we had to buy a souvenir hoodie sweatshirt for my grandson can't wait for our return trip middle of September. Hoping to get in on a corn hole tournament next time From calling the office to check availability to check out the service was top notch and warm very friendly! So if you are looking for a place to camp that checks off all the boxes Acorn Acres is the place to go dog friendly kid friendly( did I mention an inflatable bouncy water slide for the littles!) The staff is extemely helpful and really work hard to put together fun events for all the campers as well as maintain and upkeep the campground. They are always willing to take the time to answer questions in case you are new to camping as well as some of your neighbors offering a hand. Acorn Acres is nestled between lots of trees which make for nice walks on the trails or around the campground. It is quiet and peaceful here and my son loves spotting deer or an occasional turkey on his walks. To us, this is a perfect place I want to create memories with my family

There is a septic service that comes every 2 weeks. We genuinely loved our stay with our beloved dog. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. There is a beautiful beach with gorgeous views of the lake. Our host also owns the AirBnb on the same lot which looks amazing!

We swam in the pool which was gorgeous and it was just us most of the time. At one point there was a gentleman and his young son. The pool has a ramp so that it is handicap accessible which really impressed me. There is also beautiful hot tub which has a wheelchair lift. Both very impressive and I have not seen this at other campgrounds. We arrived on Sunday evening and left on Wednesday. When we got there there was a tree in the middle of our designated site that did not allow us to open our slides so we had to get a new site assignment. They easily did that and we were backed up to a brook. It was lovely and the view of the pond was very nice. Unfortunately we also had a view of the back of the main house/office and the area where they worked on equipment. I thought that could've been fenced off. The site itself was raw with dirt and roots so it was rather hazardous and we did not put down our outside rug. I was afraid that we might trip. Also there was trash around the fire ring from the previous tenants and trash around the trees near the brook. Generally I think that was my biggest complaint with this place. The people were very nice and the grounds were nice. The playground was amazing and the variety of playground equipment they had was incredible. The pool and the hot tub or beautiful and I just wish that the sites were cleaned up more and maybe throw down some crushed rock. Definitely on my list of places to return to.

A lot of the campground has been updated although the restrooms could use some work. The pool and hot tub were clean and a nice respite from the hot weather. One caution is that the sites are very tight. We were fortunate in that the site across from us was pretty open when we backed in. With all of that said they are planning on adding additional sites which will hopefully be a bit more spacious. All in all a very nice campground.
