Pros: clean, quiet (no partiers), manicured grounds, nice pool. Attentive management, well stocked store, lunch counter, clear lake beach. Rules are enforced (and appreciated). Fun dance on sat night, perfect blend of 80's, country and some hip hop for the teens. Cons: not very wooded (I like woods) and there could be more privacy. Highway runs on back of lake and by the "Safari area" so there is highway noise. Not awful but if you are looking for super quiet make sure to ask for a site without the highway. Campground would have received five stars if there were more trees on my site and the highway disappeared (note this are personal preferences of mine and should not reflect on campground management). It is a lovely campground close to shore and casinos if that's your thing.

We got there on Thursday and it was so quiet and wide open. We figured that the weekend would not be quiet because families would be there with kids enjoying themselves. It was noisier but it still wasn't very noisy. Exception would be the dogs. There were a lot of big dogs making big noise. The trees are beautiful and the landscaping is truly amazing. They have landscaped every part of this campground and made the small attention to details really beautiful. Our campsite was very spacious and it was treed so we had shade and Sun. It was the quickest check-in that we have ever experienced. What really impressed me was that they drove around with a water sprayer more than once a day to wet down the roads and alleviate dust. There was a pirate ship that picked up children and drove them around the campground. There was a wagon ride around the campground. And you could put your trash out at one in the afternoon and they would come pick it up. I've never experienced that before. The campground is immaculate and very well-kept. The Wi-Fi is not so good but then again you were camping. We are definitely planning on coming back here.

I'm just extremely confused on why we still have these stigmas in 2025 and think it needs to be changed. Dogs attitudes are a product of the owners training. Just because a specific dog breed needs more stimulation, enrichment and training to behave correctly does not mean all dogs that belong to that breed are aggressive. Unless you have a golden retriever, i'd steer clear of this place.

They have everything you could possible need for a fun family weekend. Each site has water, fire pit, picnic table. The sites are clean, and the place is well maintained. For the most part the other campers are friendly. Pool, playground, game room, crafts, and theme weekend's make this the perfect getaway!! A few things : The closest WM is 30 minutes away, so bring everything you need. The mini golf needs some updating. But, this may be on their to do (as the playground is brand new). No one messes with your stuff as everyone is coming and going from activities. Bring firewood and a grate if you want to cook on open flame. Ticks are full blown this season, so bring tons of spray! Showers .25 /7 minutes! To camp staff, start charging people if they leave litter. We spent plenty of time collecting trash up and down the hill. It's a shame that anyone would find it acceptable considering the staff works so hard to keep it clean! (Personal family motto when it comes to the outdoors "Leave it cleaner than when you found it") (If you wonder why 5 stars... I always rate on the amount of fun my family had, cleanliness, and staff attitudes. I couldn't care less about petty ridiculous menial things)

I was just here this past weekend for a music festival, and this was the perfect venue for it…read more The grounds are gorgeous, with plenty of space for camping. Lots of waterfront camping space, but if you actually want to be able to sleep in on those hot summer mornings there's also lots of space in the wooded areas to camp. Everything was really clean upon arrival (as clean as it can be for being a camping area) and was kept as such throughout the weekend. Not an easy task when you have 500+ people traipsing around. There's two sets of restrooms (with running water) and the ones at the front also have 2 showers in each bathroom (mens and womens). The showers were much great, hot and good water pressure. There's also a concession area right as you arrive at the campground which carries smaller items (sunglasses, waters, etc) and are super reasonably priced. The only downfall is that you can't swim in the lake (at least not when I was there), but it's a bit murky so I'm not sure if one would want to. They do rent out paddleboats and canoes though for $50 a day with a $50 refundable deposit. There's also some pretty good fishing in the lake. One of my favorite things about this place was the fact that the owner, John, was always on hand. Interacting with patrons, making sure things were running smoothly. He really did a great job of making us feel welcomed. I'll definitely be returning next year :D

The campground itself is secluded and quiet. There are spots for RV and tent camping. Bathrooms are extremely clean and well kept. The lady that runs it is super nice, but don't speed on her grounds or she will destroy you. The lake is home to all kinds of wildlife and teeming with fish. Whether you have a ski boat or a canoe it is accommodating! Overall a great place to get away and enjoy nature!! Just don't tell anyone I told you about the secret spot.
