I believe you can check in without a staff member present but it was helpful to ask a few questions since it was our first time there. It would be helpful if our pre reservation details told us when the check in station would be staffed so you don't miss the window if you can avoid it! Check in was easy and navigating the camp sites is very easy, even in the dark. We stayed at one of the hike in sites and it was a great time. We were able to find plenty of sticks to make a fire without bringing any of our own wood in. I love that the sites are pet friendly! One group came in after us and was at the site next to us, which was a little louder than we'd hoped. Some sites are nicely placed with a hill obscuring the adjacent sites but this one we could clearly see each other - perhaps due to the leaves falling off the trees. Highly recommend doing the rest of the loop back to the car along the lake, it is so beautiful and mossy! We will be back!

Where are the people running this place??? I normally come here once a year and it's gradually…read moregotten worse each time. This weekend was the final straw for me. You're not allowed to bring a single beer in but the entire place is Cheech&Chong movie. I literally gagged on weed smoke the entire weekend. People walking around the beach, around kids, smoking. Aggressive dogs barking at everyone. The site across from me had 4 vehicles and six tents. They didn't even fit in the site, they were literally back in the woods. It was beyond loud. No one around and no one said anything. Some idiot was flying a drone with a camera over my site. I'm done with this place. It's gone downhill and no one cares what goes on. No enforcement for noise after quiet hours.

I was so disappointed with this place. When you talk to the people on the phone they are so kind…read moreand so friendly and I was looking forward to the weekend. It was our first weekend of camping and we actually did stay an extra night. But we only stayed the extra night to see our friends who we haven't seen in a long time. Otherwise we have would've been out of there probably Saturday morning after arriving on Friday night. As we drove up to the campground I could see junk cars lining the street before the entrance. Then we pulled into the campground and were immediately accosted by the dumpster with piles of junk next to it and a house with a bunch of boats and farm equipment in the yard. Mike went up and registered which was simple and easy. Then we went through the gate and around to our campsite. As we drove to our campsite there was a tractor parked in the middle of the road and we had to drive around it on the grass to get to our campsite. That seemed odd. Then we drove to this field which had a nice green grass but no trees and this was where our campsite was located. Now we live in a city in Rhode Island and on a road that is fairly busy but not nearly as busy as the road that was about three campers length from our campsite. I was absolutely floored that we would be spending the weekend that close to a very busy road and listening to that traffic constantly. Then I looked around behind our campsite and there were piles and piles and huge piles of junk. Piles of wood , piles of equipment, piles of metal, piles of stone. It was just junk everywhere. Definitely a hoarder's farm. So on one side we had the main road with the traffic and behind us our view was of a bunch of junk. And it just didn't end there. Everywhere you looked was junk. It was like camping in a junkyard. We took a drive the next day because we had read that this was a popular campground with decent ratings. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why that is. We saw many sites which appeared to be seasonal sites. We saw several places where new construction was going on. None of the construction was completed and they actually had a functioning gravel bank right in the campground. There were campers parked next to it and across from it. The newer campsites had gravel instead of grass where you would park your camper. I could see that many people had been seasonal there for a long time because they had their own lawns and sheds and decorations that appear to have been there a long time. But when you got to the end of pretty much every road there was construction equipment working on the weekend, there was construction equipment lying on the side of the road, there was just more junk everywhere. As far as amenities, they have a man-made springfed pond. They do say that it is stocked but there is no swimming pool. They have a baseball field that needs reseeding because the grass is terrible. They do have a playground which looked pretty good. They had a couple of activities the weekend we arrived but we did not take part in them because we are still avoiding crowds. I wish I could say something good about them besides the fact that they are kind and friendly people but I can't. We will never go back again it was just not an experience that was relaxing and that rural atmosphere that you look for when you camp.

We have stayed here twice and each time we have loved it mostly due to how clean it is and we feel…read morelike the amenities as well as the activities are a really great addition. The only reason it got a star off was because we were only staying there for two days and had multiple issues with our cabin. 1. The AC didn't work on the most hottest day and it took them a little bit to figure out how to fix it. 2. The cabin was not clean and my son spilled soda because it was hidden behind the curtains. 3. There was no hot water. For a 48 hour stay there was quite a few issues that needed to be resolved. However I do want to speak on the fact that the activities were super fun and they were unique however I do think that the family trivia needs to be tweaked and needs to be easier for the family. The bingo night as well as candy bingo night we're super fun and we really do enjoy all the amenities such as the pool. I wish that the bike ramp was open or they had something for scooters that would be really cool but it was a super nice time.

All together I had fun with my friends but where were some things that I thought were unpleasant…read more We brought RC cars because they said a RC car is providing but when we got there we saw that the RC park was being worked on AND the basketball and pickleball courts that is shown on the online and physical maps right next to the RC park just werent there. There are other courts next to the big playground that you can use but we still needed to walk all the way there to find out there were no courts. Also every time we went to the courts it was to busy and we coudlnt play which isn't their fault but it was annoying. At the food place they have we got onion rings for 8$ and mozzarella sticks for 8$, the onion rings were actually pretty good and I think worth the money but the mozzarella sticks were soggy and there were five of them for 8$. I think that price was a little much for five mozzarella sticks. Went to the indoor pool and it felt a little weird, it was downstairs and 4 ft deep at most, the lights made it look pretty gloomy and it was pretty crowded. Also part of downstairs was carpet which made it look even more gloomy.
