Went In for an emergency and told them I was pregnant. I had been vomiting and diarrhea for two…read moredays without keeping food or drinks down. When I went in they said it was fine I was just pregnant but I was dehydrated and just wanted at the minimum an iv but instead they offered me a sprite .i sat there and asked if I could get ultrasound as well to check on baby and they said they didn't have an ultrasound person . Like what, what kind of er is this .

This is about their outpatient therapies…read more Pros: the therapists themselves seems to be knowledgeable and good at their jobs. This review is not about them. cons: Scheduling. My son has mild ASD. Kids with ASD need a schedule to know what is coming next. In addition, my son is starting Kindergarten soon, so for his speech and OT, we need it to be in the evening or on the weekend. On the phone with scheduling, they told me there was plenty of weekend and evening availability for speech and OT. They scheduled us for the evaluations and did them. When it came time to schedule his appointments they don't have a schedule. Suddenly, they don't have availabilities on evenings and weekends. Moreover, they don't really have a set schedule you can create. They'll just call me in the morning if they have availability. Then they want me to pull my son from school SUDDENLY and take him to a random appointment he was not aware was happening. All of that uncertainty is TERRIBLE for kids on the spectrum. It means that they'll be living their lives in anxiety over if they will be suddenly pulled from school for an appointment. They won't be able to focus on school, and they will miss out on quality education time. When I pointed this out to the schedulers (I talked to many, including supervisors), they said, "well, that's just the way we do things." I was also told that a "good mom" would pull their kid from school whenever THEY want me to. FINALLY, the speech therapist that did his assessment got him scheduled for weekly evening appointments. He has his first appointment and the therapist was so great. She even gave me activities to do with him outside of therapy. Great! The next morning, scheduling called me to tell me that therapist is leaving the practice, so they are cancelling all our scheduled appointments. They again told me I have to just wait for them to call during a random day and I will have to pull my son from school. The ugly: I am currently contemplating a civil law suit. We found an occupational therapist with weekend availability. THEY almost didn't take us because you aren't supposed to have multiple OT eval within 6 months. But they agreed to take us if I could get access to the eval Fransiscan did. It took many calls and emails and putting in a complaint with legal that they are violating Hippa by refusing to give me my son's medical data that they were holding hostage. Where does that stand now? Well, I am about to pay EXTRA to the new OT because they had to redo the assessment because Fransiscan still hasn't given me my son's data after about a month of a fight. They claimed they have the package or me to pick up at any time waiting at their front desk. I have been there 3 times to pick it up and every time I go, the front desk workers say there is nothing there for me to pick up. It is about 25-30 minute drive there and the same back home each time. Each time the front desk has no clue what I am talking about. NOW, apart from my son, I am dealing with the similar thing for me. My PT. The person that did my PT eval said I need to go once a week for 6 weeks and then they will re-evaluate. That was in March. It is now Almost august, and they have fit me in once. I have had 1 appointment. My doctor was shocked that I had only been seen once, and is in favor of me "jumping ship." That's right, the doctors in this system know that scheduling is so messed up they are recommending you use other therapy services. SO....If you want to go to a therapist that breaks hippa laws and does not give a rats butt about patient outcomes, go here. If you want services, go literally anywhere else.

I took my chances a made the appointment. I waited in the waiting room for about an hour there was someone else before I heard reschedule her appointment because she was also waiting a long time. I finally get called back. I waited in that room another 45 minutes than I went to the window and asked to reschedule. The clerk went into the room across from me and I could hear her tell the NP how long I've been waiting and she acted like she didn't even know. She was hanging out in the room next door the entire time! The clerk came out and said she'll be right with you, I explained I'll just schedule with someone else, she said it's okay she's coming out right now and she didn't. She wasn't even with a patient she was hanging out with her assistant. So I was like okay, I might as well see her. I wish I would have left, you could tell she has absolutely no experience. I feel like she was winging it, so disappointing. Her assist was very unprofessional just leaning against the counter, chewing like a horse. Each time NP Paris asked her if she documented something she would respond "uh huh, yeah I heard you". I usually see Karen Jordan who is fantastic why Dermatologist Assoc would bring NP Paris on their team is beyond me. Just beware if you want an experienced professional NP Paris is not the one just hold off to see Dr. Jordan.

I strongly encourage anyone who happens to have a hernia condition to seek Dr. Chan for an office…read moreconsultation with him. I found Dr. Samson M. Chan, after performing an extensive on-line search for a Doctor that I could see for what appeared to be an uncomfortable bump on my stomach and also in my navel area, as it was protruding outwards. I had two different visible lumps on my stomach area that caused discomfort and obviously looked unpleasant. After having scheduled an appointment, I was happy to quickly get a quick appointment to be seen by Dr. Chan. Since I had already had taken some Cat Scans, Dr. Chan was able to review the images and was able to confirm that indeed I had a double hernia. He was so kind and caring that he managed to schedule me within the next week to perform a surgical repair for my condition. Before my surgery took place, I explained to Dr. Chan my main concerns in understanding the specifics and the manner to perform my surgery to repair in such a manner to avoid noticeable scarring due to the surgery. He was very kind and extremely caring that I could not believe that the only noticeable signs of surgery are only a few incisions that can not be seen. In fact, my navel was also, corrected that cosmetically speaking it looks as if I have never even had a double umbilical hernia repair on my stomach and navel area. Thank You Doctor for an excellent surgery and being there for me during the whole process and after my surgery as I woke up afterwards. The entire process was well worth my time in researching not just for a qualified Doctor but also, for a caring Doctor who was understanding about my concerns of possible scarring. The healing process was a bit difficult but it only encouraged me to become active again in order to continue to improve my health and awareness to prevent any future injuries. I have since dropped 44 lbs. and continue to stay healthy and in shape by long walks every day, eat responsibly, and no heavy lifting. Paco Luna

Seeing that I just had surgery I will give intricate details when I am able to think…read more I am somewhat still not up to par or my giggly self so please pardon me. Upon entering the facility we parked in the parking garage and then proceeded to the breezeway to have an officer greet us and point us in the direction we were to go. Thought the elevators bottom to check in. All still tolling smoothly. Sat down for about 2 and a half minutes and they called me back immediately. I got to the back was asked to undress and put on the ever adored hospital johnny and non skid socks. How the cutest people can be brought to look like the walking dead in these things. Lol. Both the supervisor and the nurse came in and introduced themselves first. Then the anesthesiologist, and finally my surgeon. They were all a joy. I will say in my field it's hard to find people who not only know what they are doing and do it to the best of their ability, but genuinely love doing it. I think I ran into that group. Blessed I am for being able to. After the procedure, I wasn't treated as a medical professional, I wasn't treated as an equal, I was treated as a adored patient. That in itself, made me able to relinquish the responsibility of my healthcare into someone else's hands because I knew they not only were they capable, but happy to do so. It's hard to relax when you are always the one everyone else looks to and are in control. They were so good they gave my husband instruction as to my continued care at home. This is something I will ever be grateful for. Sorry if I leave anyone out. Please forgive me. It's only I was mostly out of it when I was there. A special thanks to Katie:), Sue:), Joanne, Kerri, Mrs. Tammy:), Dr. Han, the ever great anesthesiologist, and all others who made me feel safe and walking me through every single detail and holding my hand the whole way. Every single one of you were a complete joy to be around and you never once made me feel uncomfortable. I appreciate that. Thanks for the check up call and the help with setting up a follow up appointment. I try to utilize the very latest technology and techniques - but that are well-established and proven by good scientific studies! - to treat these problems 2.) complex spine pathology: spinal tumors, scoliosis and spinal trauma, and sagittal balance problems. Generally, these problems require a more complicated and creative solution to achieve good results 3.) functional pain surgery: sometimes, you cannot safely or reasonably fix the problem facing the patient. Or the patient may have some underlying nerve damage (CRPS, for example) that does not correct with surgery. Spinal cord stimulators (SCS) can be of great help to these patients. 4.) minimally invasive surgery: using advanced retractors, endoscopic and microscopic techniques to alleviate a patient's pain can lead a quicker recovery 5.) brain tumors: such as pituitary tumors, or tumors compressing or invading the brain. Surgery can often help to diagnose and treat these tumors
