This gas station is located next to the 7-11 on Trabuco. The pump nozzle was close to the most expensive option and the buttons were too sensitive so pulling the hose towards it made it trigger the expensive one. I didn't want that product. read more

REMEMBER TO SHOW YOUR $29.95 COUPON BEFORE SIGNING THE INVOICE. The Tester was rude from the very beginning. It was obvious that he was in a hurry to close early, and a bit combative. I filled out and signed the invoice page, which ALREADY had the $68.20 filled in. I figured I'd show the coupon to the cashier when I paid. When I went to pay, the cashier said I had to show it to the Tester because 'he was just a cashier.' The Tester wouldn't take it, and insisted that I should have shown him the coupon before I signed. He said 'you signed so that means you agreed to pay it.' Very mean and rude guy, especially in front of my young son. I had to explain about good and bad customer service the entire way home. This gas station is one of three gas stations within a mile from my house, but I come here for one reason: the free coffee with fill up. I generally leave my house at 5:00AM on the weekdays, so a quick pick me up while I fill up on gas is what I want and need. Also, it and the Shell Station by it (on Trabuco and Lake Forest) have the same price, but both gas stations are cheaper than other gas stations in the area. We've been to this Mobil many times before. Today, we used pump #3 and to our surprise it had broken nozzle handle and sprayed gasoline all over our car. We lost perhaps 1/2 - 1 gallon worth of gasoline to the floor. I spoke to the attendant and couldn't give us a refund or provide us with a cleaning kit. To say the least, he mentioned that he had the same problem and pump #7. We will not be coming here again. read more

Very Impressed! Attentive Personnel this morning noticed Disabled Placard and 'offered' assistance. I took advantage of free coffee. As I began this review noticed an American Flag hanging proudly. So here goes my review on this business. Gas prices are going to be high with little profit. We here the story and this place no different. However, as mentioned I am very impressed by the staff willingness to step out and offer assistance versus waiting to be requested. This may offend same people; however, all too many times I see a huge overall need of improvement in society to help others. I did not require assistance but was extremely happy to see the willingness to serve in a service oriented industry. Next plus on my review was this free coffee which is a no brainer catch to generate actual revenue for the store versus the fifty cents it earned from gas barely covering the transaction fee. I added a purchase with my cup of free coffee. Place is fairly clean with no down marks as you are not walking in a five star resort. NEGATIVE Point was given only for the location of air and water. They are located adjunct to the Disabled Stale preventing actual 'legal' use (unless you have a Placard) as your vehicle would obstruct access to/from the stale itself. Minor detail but important nonetheless as we work to ensure awareness for elders and disabled. Overall, great service, good location, average price, clean and highly patriotic business. read more

Rude annoying people work here. On 3 separate occasions we have been to this station for gas or smog check. Each time people working were smart assed and rude. Very rude smog technician, Brought my corvette in for smog check, he was dismissive told me to park my car in a stall expect to wait at least 20 minutes while he was talking to a previous customer who had already paid. I went there for a smog check because I saw their advertised coupon online. I took photo of the coupon using my phone, got there, showed him the coupon and he said I have to print it out to get the discount! Come on, everyone who studies business knows that the purpose of the coupon is to "bring business". I was right there ready to pay them, and they turned me down. I said forget it, go to another shop nearby, showed them the same coupon and see what they can do, then they not only accept it and also beat it by 10% to earn my business. Got gas here yesterday and there was a man in business clothes who was aggressively speaking to the employee. During the conversation, the business man lit up and smoked a cigarette less than 10 ft away from the pumps while the employee did nothing (maybe the smoking idiot is the owner?). I was sent to Lake Forest Mobil to do my smog check after going to 2 other smog check places that were not STAR stations. Thanks, DMV, I'm sure I MADE SMOG by driving to 3 different stations to find the one I needed in order to renew my registration. I showed up here at about 4pm feeling a little panicky, wondering if I would ever find the right place before end of business day. Did I mention today was the last day I had to do the check and renew registration before paying a penalty? Oops. Nothing like putting things off until the last minute. The crazy cold wind was making my allergies go haywire too. I was having a great day. The man at the gas station part directed me to bring a chair inside the mini-mart to stay warm, and brought me a hot cup of tea. The man actually doing the smog check brought the paperwork to my chair, was super friendly, and I estimated a total of 20 minutes tops for the entire shebang. Done. Passed. Certificate. Had my 1998 BMW smogged here today. Great, friendly service and a great price. I had the same car smogged at another place a month earlier - I didn't pass and had to make some repairs - and it cost $25 dollars more. Save yourself some money and get your smog test done here. read more

Today, I called about a smog check and they told me they could do it in 10 min for $68. When I got there they said it would actually take 20min. I knew at that time that they were shady. He failed my car due to a visual inspection, then said he could fix it for $45. I took it to my mechanic and he fixed the problem in 10min. My mechanic also informed me that I should not have failed for my particular problem. I returned to re-smog the same day, which cost an additional $20. While I was waiting, a woman arrived for the same smog test. She asked why it was so expensive and said she was going to go somewhere else. 3 ft in front of me, the employee told her to wait and and that he would give her a discount. Instead of $68 he said he'd do it for $40. When my car was done I asked if Icould receive the same discount. He told me, it was because she had a coupon. I reminded him that I was present for the conversation. He then said it was because my car was older. I told him it was bad business, and he smiled and agreed. If you need smog test, go somewhere else. You might be able to get them down to $40 for a smog, but they will look for things to fail you on in order to charge you repair costs and retest fees, so beware. read more

DO NOT GO HERE for smog check!!!!! I went here not knowing that just having a check engine light on would fail it. As the tester got in the car I noticed him checking the gas cap and other stuff but did not warn of the impending fail. My car is new with all of 40kthe miles. The printout said all emissions passed but fail due to engine light... he charged 40 dollars to tell me a light is on..couldn't he have warned me of that prior as I am a female and out not know thats a fail reason.
