It also makes it more easy for the infamous UB Mafia to dump bodies. They better hope this lake never gets dragged. Or drugged. Or both perhaps. If the lake was drugged, I'm sure the UB Police would immediately arrest the lake, given how "tolerant" they aren't. Oh wait, they are the Mafia. OK then. Often used for graduation and gorgeous fireworks displays, this luscious lake is the most beautiful part of a pretty gorgeous campus and visually stunning area. This lake, alone, makes UB North one of the nicest rural-ish campuses I've been to in the country - and I've been to a lot. It's not huge, but then neither is your boyfriend, and you still seem to like him.

There are not that many Japanese maple trees or maybe we were just too late in May. We went May 16 to see the full bloom, however, there were still some trees in bloom and it was very pretty and it smelled good. The area is well kept where the garden is but when you venture off into one side, it's a dark tunnel with spray paint all over. People were still running through it so I'm assuming it's a safe area. it's across the street from an art museum and the Japanese garden is a part of another history museum. Overall, I would say go because it is a pretty area with free parking, just missing a star because I thought it was going to be much larger with more history.

I ma a huge rock hound, crystal nut- not just because my name is Crystal, I've loved picking up shiny rocks since I was a small child. Quartz and mica are two I remember finding often as a child. Here- they had a huge inventory of various raw and polished stones, fossils, animal bones and such. And that was just in the Nature Exchange! The park is wonderful too, plenty of trails to lead you down by the river, wonderful trees, great overlook viewpoints throughout. As part of the Niagra Parks system, they have bike trails too. We stopped here twice, once to explore and once for me to pop back in with my photos and pick out a raw piece of turquoise! A birthday win for me! Interesting facts learned on fireflies: they like leafy dark areas, eat slugs, and snails and really lite up the park. Paved trail, not very long, perfect for quick walk or hike to explore the many trees. Family, everyone friendly.

Today it was crowded, the Blue Angel squadron was at the outer harbor so it was a great view from here.. on a hot day, the breeze was everything! The ice cream/ snack shop serves Charlaps and is clean and very new looking! I didn't get any ice cream but it sure looked good as it walked past us in the hands of children of all ages! Very nice day at the park, go here if you like water and sunsets!
