Utterly pathetic!…read more After being referred from the Costco eye center (he needs to find someone else to refer his patients) for having a larger than normal dilapidation of sight I was sent on a wild goose chase By these doctors. This goose chase included an MRI a CT of the arteries of my neck and a serious surgical procedure that has left visible permanent scars. Due to the utterly pathetic original diagnosis I received at this clinic other doctors treated me with large doses of prednisone. I am now type 2 diabetic as a result. Luckily I consulted a very good neurologist in Illinois who had me seen within 72 hours at Wheaton eye clinic/NorthWestern by a Nuero Opthamologist who advised me, and the clinic, that he/they could find nothing that supported the original or any diagnosis (and wrote and tell them so) I would not under any circumstances go here if you have any under lying conditions as this clinic is simply not experienced enough to handle it and not self aware enough to pass you onto people that do have expertise beyond the ability of the clinic. Before you think about driving to the emergency room give them a call for minor and moderate eye issues. They might be able to see you quickly. I was a next morning after reporting anomaly in the afternoon day before. The office is clean well kept and equipment is of current generation. Phoropters and slit lamps are original early 2000s installs very well maintained and kept with pristine lenses. Staff are caring and nice and handle exams quickly. Dilation waiting area was in the center but was told to go to main waiting which was a slight workflow deficiency, I will not deduct stars for workflow deficiency. Points will be deducted Appearance 90 (some corners of exam chairs have peeled paint and could use a repaint and refresh. The leather as well has cracked on some seats making a reupholstery job a favorable management decision in addition to light repainting and updating the overall offices decor. It feels like it's stuck in 2004) Staff 100 (absolute gems of staff here. Very caring and patient even with rather sketchy eye control in cerebral palsy exam. A CP exam can take up to 70% more time than a standard exam. Here a CP exam takes averaged across five exams approximately 20% longer than a standard persons exam which is impressive efficiency with high complexity care.) Equipment 100 (while cosmetic issues exist such as peeling paint actual equipment is kept in pristine condition and works as expected. In fact the auto diagnostic machine was so clean I plopped my head down and they said "hang on hang on I haven't even wiped it yet!" Your fault for it looking perfectly ready!) Workflow 85 (this one was the hardest to deduct for. They had a central interior waiting room with no windows for dilating patients. Instead they had everyone waiting in main today. Not sure if this was due to the water issue in the building or if this was a workflow defect. Will follow up next exam and remind them of proper use of the dilation room to avoid over irritation of patient eyes during the wait and to improve COVID-19 distancing for patients by keeping dilating patients away from the main waiting to protect them while eyes are in a more vulnerable state.) I have been in glasses since I was 18 months old I'm now 54, I have gone to plenty of optical places and I'd never trust my eyes or my 7 year olds ( she's also a patient there) with anyone but Antioch eye care. They have always gone above and beyond to help me if I was in a bind. The location in antioch is always clean and I'm always greeted with genuine smiles and professional ppl who want nothing more than to help. I'm so happy to have this place so close to me and,I'll continue going here for all my and my daughter's optical needs.

"It's okay," the practice said. But it wasn't. The receptionist ( who I had gifted wedding earrings to) thought it was ok to comment that I was early for my last appointment. Yes, you read that right! She made a point of my being early, like I can't tell time. I corrected her and told her that such comments are not appropriate. All she had to do was ask me to take a seat in the waiting room. The next day, the practice dropped me. There are some big egos and a lot of estrogen that needs to be managed better in this practice. I do not recommend it based on my experience.
