Dr. Dave has been my chiropractor for 17 years, and the best I've ever had. He was highly recommended by a coworker, whose husband had been seeing him for years. I like that he explains what's going on, and tells me other things that will help. He most wants me to feel well. Once, he told me, "Jeanne, I really like seeing you in the office, but you're not going to get better if you don't do regular stretching. He recommended I take a yoga class at the gym. It resulted in me seeing him less often, because I was feeling better. I don't know that other chiropractors would have done the same. He gave me advice re: stretches to do in the morning and at night, as well as what to look for in a mattress and pillows. Dr. Dave is easygoing, warm and friendly, and is ethical. I've had lower back issues since my high school years and throughout college. It was all the sitting in uncomfortable positions and studying. I would get shooting pains up my back that I wouldn't even be able to move for a few minutes until it eases up. I also noticed that when I think I am standing up straight, I'd be standing crooked with one side of my hip tilted up. For a while I thought one of my legs was longer than it other! These things didn't seem related to me at the time, but I went to see Dr. Dave regarding my lower back pains since 2012. I'll be honest, I was skeptical because all I hear from people is how chiropractors don't fix but just lessen the pain. However, after visiting him I feel otherwise! Dr. Dave is such a nice and warm personality. My first visit to his office, he made me feel comfortable and chatted about random hobbies and activities. After running some quick tests on me, he was able to pinpoint what was wrong and assured me that my one leg is not longer than the other, but that my pelvis is crooked and he will need to reset and crack everything into place. This stuff doesn't get fixed overnight because your body is smart and always readjusts, but it's like going to the gym and you have you train your body. He first had me come into the office for a readjustment 2 times a week and after a few weeks he had me come in once a month to reset my back. Ever since I started seeing Dr. Dave, my back feels so much better and I no longer have those shooting pains in my lower back! Even with all the physical activity I put my body through. It's unfortunate that this readjustment is something I need to maintain for the rest of my life, but if it prevents anything worse from happening then it's the least I can do. The way I see it, it's like how people schedule massages or get their hair cut periodically. He also offers 1 hour massages, which I have received a few times. Totally worth it, and definitely worth it since he takes my health insurance. I always recommend his services to my friends when they ask because he's always been very helpful for me and he has a background in sports medicine. Dr.Dave is the best of the best! This is my first time having to do physical therapy as it was my first car accident. I was a little apprehensive about what to expect but he helped me feel comfortable and now I love getting my back cracked hahah even though sometimes I still scream "AHH!" haha! Dr. Dave is not only an amazing chiropractor but also very a comforting and welcoming presence. I look forward to coming in each and every week. The process is smooth and you can tell Dr. Dave has a really solid rhythm in his daily practice. I really love that they keep the lights low throughout the office, so I feel a general feeling of peace before, during, and after my treatment. I had a neck injury a few months back on a Saturday and had to find another doctor in a pinch...which was quite disappointing. I felt awkward and like this other guy was more of a salesman than a caregiver. I of course went back to Lake Chiropractic Monday morning to set things straight. I also recently had foot surgery and Dr. Dave was super accommodating to my foot brace and even arranged for me to sit up during my treatment to avoid any discomfort. I've been seeing Dr. Dave for over two years now. First for an ongoing backache and most recently for physical therapy for a work-neck injury. The adjustments were perfect! Threw out the ol' back this morning and after being stuck on my knees for 10 minutes I finally got to my phone to look up a chiropractor. I found his office and was greeted by an informative receptionist when I called (Yvonne). She advised they where closed between 12 and 2 for lunch (must be some good eatin!) but to walk in at 2. I sprained my ankle playing soccer, and having sprained the other ankle before, I knew I mostly needed time to let it heal. Still, I was eager to get back on the pitch and wanted to do everything I could to make sure that it healed properly. I can stand, sit, and walk without pain, thanks to Dr. Dave - he's awesome! I've had lingering discomfort in my lower back for years. Then one morning, I could barely get out of bed...the pain was severe and constant, I couldn't stand up straight and it felt as if my back was going to give out completely. I went to my HMO' s Urgent Care on two separate occasions. The first doctor, without examining me, told me to get a hysterectomy because I have fibroids and it was probably the pressure they were placing on my spine that was causing the pain. I went home and tried stretching, hot packs and resting but it showed no signs of improvement. The second doctor looked at my back and said it was very inflamed (I just thought my midsection was full due to the fibroids). He gave me a shot of an anti inflammatory and scheduled a blood test and MRI on the spot to check my pancreas, liver and kidney. All the results came back negative, and he confirmed the fibroids had nothing to do with my back issues. He said it might have been an infection or that I had a kidney stone but that it must have passed because it didn't show up on the MRI. I left with a prescription for Motrin and some antibiotics. I had already missed a week of work, and on Monday morning, I called in to take another sick day and told my boss's assistant about my back pain and trips to the doctors. She then recommended Dr. Dave (thanks Brandy!!) and I went in that very morning. He asked some questions, had me lie down on the treatment table and pressed on various spots on my back, then told me I had an inflamed hip joint because my hips were out of alignment. He gave me a treatment, and it felt as if a HUGE amount of pressure was taken off my spine! I was able to stand up, and though there was still pain, it was 1,000 times better. I scheduled a number of follow up appointments and am fine now - no stiffness, no pain, and as a side benefit - more energy - and my lower back doesn't look chubby because it's no longer inflamed! I can't thank Dr. Dave enough...I was despairing, wondering if I'd have to resign myself to disability and a lifetime of incapacitating pain and restricted movement. I've told my friends to see him and HIGHLY recommend him. I'm now a firm believer in the benefits of GOOD chiro care to help get my body firing on all cylinders, and that an ongoing program of maintenance is part of a healthy lifestyle...I believe it because I've experienced it!!! read more

I've been having some major back issues these past few years. But the funny thing about Dr. Dave as he told me to call him because his last name may be a challenge to say, I stumbled across paths with him on accident. Best stumbled I've encountered since originally I came to his office looking for and acupuncturist that shared the same building who had moved out of the building literally a week before or maybe even a few days before I got to the office. So even though I was there for another reason Dr. Dave was very intentive on wondering what my issues were going on with me. As we further into my issues somethings he diagnosed that he could possibly help with. And he did some of my back issues we're gone in weeks. But that's not what impressed me the most, what really stood out in my mind was the fact that he genuinely cared, extremely friendly and intentive to my need, and the fact that he told me that hey we will do a few sessions and if you feel like this is not working out then we can stop at any time. That blew my mind to show that he really did care and was not about trying to take me for my money like other chiropractors I've dealt with in the past. The staff outstandingly friendly and caring and and Dr. Dave is just an awesome person and then a doctor and that's really very impressive to me. So he help me out within a month then I stopped going for a while in about a month later I return to his servicesBecause my back started hurting again but this time worse than before due to some extra health issues I've been dealing with. This time he's even up the ante doing extra things at no extra cost which is awesome. I really appreciate the person he is first and the doctor he is second I highly recommend anyone going to him for back issues or what other issues chiropractors can help with he's got a pretty big clientele base that I really was surprised to see. I was a non believer & skeptic who thought chiropractors were waste of time & money. Than My back seized while chasing the cat in the garden. I could barely move; standing, sittings& turning were near impossible. Forget driving . After a week of immobility & pain I was desperate for relief. My roommate suggested I see her Chiro. It was affordable, I found someone to drive me and nothing else had worked so why not. Dr. Dave made me convert. I may have hobbled in tha morning but I walked out.
