Why do I have to wait for a new customer to finish their paperwork and be seen in order for me to get adjusted. I won't be going back here. I only found one good doctor after purchasing 2 packages. Sadly, he resigned a few months ago. My experience was pretty consistent with what I expected. You can tell the doctors don't care one bit about their profession. They want you in and out. I was the last customer seen by Dr. Micheals today. 1) I had to remind him to change the paper on the chair. It was oiled and clearly had residue from another face. This "medical professional" did not even bother to safely sanitize the space prior to asking me to lie face down. Sorry this is unacceptable. 2) He quickly rushed through my adjustment less than 5 min. I asked if there was any adjustment he could do on my upper spine. Usually, this is just a quick pull of the head in an upward motion. His response has bothered me all evening. " No sorry, next time come in earlier. I have a meeting I have to go." 3) This is not the only poor rushed experience I've had. A walk in experience should ensure respect, responsibility to protect the patient. Honestly I haven't been to this location in a very long time because last time I went the chiropractor was condescending and unkind. I clearly needed to prioritize getting an adjustment, but his approach was basically to tell me off and poke fun that I hadn't been there a while and didn't know what position to move my body for the adjustment. I've been to many chiropractors and never had an experience like this one. If this happens to you, i recommend trying another location. I had two different chiropractors give me an adjustment here and they were not nice at all. If you want people to get the help they need, provide encouragement instead of reprimanding them. The Joint Chiropractic was persistent that I sign up to avail of their promotional rate. Registration at $108 was paid the first time I came for a consultation at The Joint Chiropractic in Monrovia on March 5, 2020. Unfortunately, the pandemic started around that time. The following month, I called them and informed the receptionist that I will cancel my membership because I am unable to come for chiropractic treatment due to the lockdown during the pandemic. They took advantage and automatically took money from my HSA account even without providing chiropractic services till the month of November 2020 totaling $553.00 in free money for them!! Never did I receive any follow up for an appointment. I called and requested for a refund. They refuse to refund my money that they charged on my HSA card every month. Negligence from their receptionist for not documenting my last call for a cancellation. To people out there: it's better to pay cash. Don't fall for their promo! read more

An adjustment with a therapy session is what you'll get here depending on which doctor you get. When I first signed my daughter up, I was all for the fast food type adjustments, no appointments, being able to go to any joints and no long waits. Fast forward months later, kudos to The joint for getting more clients but geez my whole excitement of no wait, no appointment needed is slowly getting into frustration. Sorry we (I) live in a fast paced environment and time is precious. The wait has been from 25-55 mins!!! I don't have time for this! This isn't the only joint that has obnoxiously long wait times but this is the only joint that has a certain doctor that talks for literally 30 mins straight to each client. The doctor is good though, I'll give them that! But maybe they should monitor how many clients they have waiting and adjust the conversations accordingly. With the whole covid, social distancing. I started with the Joint several years ago and I'm very glad I gave them a try since it's helped me manage my lower back pain and discomfort over the years. When they say their focus is routine care, they aren't kidding because it's been a preventative measure for me for sure. When I fall out of my routine, I can feel more tension and discomfort the longer I don't get it treated. With my busy schedule it is hard for me to get in weekly, but I try to get in an often as possible. I like the flexibility of their package options and if you've ever experienced chiropractic at more traditional places, you instantly recognize that the Joint provides very affordable and reasonably priced options. If you need therapy this isn't the place for you, but if you don't need therapy then it's also great that you aren't paying the extra for that stuff either. I've been to several locations in the LA area including this one last year... tbh, I was not impressed with the staff back then and wouldn't have recommended this location last summer. The front desk came off very indifferent and the doctor was a bit rude and unfriendly. I also got the sense he didn't really care to be there and didn't really pay attention to what I was telling him. I can't recall his name, but I think he was the main doctor there. On my way home, I would sometimes stop in Pasadena instead, but I recently visited Monrovia, a few times, over the last month, and they've upgraded the place. The vibe is MUCH better than before, and the front desk and the doctors have been very attentive and helpful. They have a schedule posted in the lobby and they currently have 3 different doctors working here now. I believe I've seen all three now and all have provided great sessions. Dr. Roger explained the functions of the skull, spine, and tail bone. Then he went into detail of what he was going to do and why. First time I have tried a chiropractor and didn't really know what to expect. I didn't go in with a specific problem, but just wanted to try getting adjusted cause it looked pretty fun and exciting on the internet. I liked the idea that I was living my life out of alignment and I needed to be adjusted in order to fix my flawed body. On 1.20.23 I went in for a consultation to see if this is something that can help my chronic shoulder/back problem. I always was skeptical about it at first and wasn't sure this would help me. My friend Jacynda convinced me to go and was greeted by Ariel. The process was super easy, just had to answer some questions and the wait was around 5 mins. Spoke to Dr. Ahmed and helped me answer all the questions/worries I had. He's super friendly, and actually explains how the body works. The consultation took around 15/20 mins and felt great right after! He explained I will feel sore because your body is not used to it. Make sure you take a Espom salt bath to soothe the soreness*. Signed up right away and it's 89$ for 4 sessions a month (so of course it's monthly). Ariel explain the policies very well and of course if you read the terms, you'll know what you're paying! I came to this Clinic on Saturday 12/10 for my first adjustment. I was first welcomed and greeted by Robert at front desk. Super kind and helped me with my paperwork. I'd like to start with that I've been familiar with this location for almost 3 years and I feel this location has improved a lot since October when it went under new ownership and management. Even though they are currently closed on Sundays and there have been a few instances where the doctor was sick (but any doctor's office has the same thing right?), there definitely is more consistency with the doctors and them making an effort to be open. The front desk staff is very helpful and are always super friendly. The doctors as well show that they do care about your health and want to help you feel better. I definitely like the new vibe here. I am a side sleeper so I tend to get a lot of shoulder pain and I expressed that to Dr. Nick and now I don't have any pain at all after a few adjustments by him. I love The Joint in general... I've been to traditional chiropractic places and sometimes had to spend over an hour just waiting and being moved from station to station, when all I really needed was an adjustment. I love that the Joint is simple, affordable and convenient. However, every location isn't always created equal and I have experienced some less than par locations, but Monrovia is not one of them anymore. I highly recommend this location now. I've visited this location several times over the last 5-6 years and noticed it has recently changed ownership and management. This was previously a Corporate location but is now a franchise location. The new management team is the same group that manages the Rosemead location (which I love and have frequented the most) and and I've now seen some familiar faces in Monrovia. There is a completely new set of doctors (Dr. Roger, Dr. Nick, and Dr. Dan) providing service here and I've actually had great sessions with all of them in Rosemead location too. Although I never had a bad experience with some of the previous doctors here prior to the change, I can see a difference with the front desk people and they seem more attentive and engaging compared to before. I've been here years ago and would scan in, but the front desk person would barely acknowledge me and just have their noses on their phones. I was even here a few times a long time ago where they didn't even have a front desk person and I felt bad for the doctors that had to work both the front desk as well provide services. Those days things moved a lot slower and wait times would get longer too. Definitely a totally different experience now. They just had a Grand Reopening event and I believe are still doing a free visit promo, so definitely try and drop in asap!
