The breakfast was average - typical hotel buffet. Gym was impressive for a hotel and I enjoyed my workout. They also have a really nice indoor pool and outdoor hot tubs that sit on the deck that overlook the river. We drank and ate dinner at the hotel bar. The walls are super thin and you can hear people. There is no fridge. There is no complimentary ice machine, we had to grab some ice from the bar. There's only 3-4 parking spots near the lobby, if you park in the back, it is a pilgrimage lugging your things. Avoid at all costs. Do not be fooled by the posh lobby, once you're in your room, it's a whole other playing field.

The…read moresuites are arranged 4 to a building with 2 rooms upstairs featuring a nice deck and 2 on the main level-note you walk upstairs (no elevator) so perhaps stay on first level if stairs are an issue-like if you brought two huge suitcases per person. Our room #18 was very spacious with a good sized bedroom with a king bed, dressing area and living room with a fireplace and a small but functional bathroom with a very nice spacious shower. It seems the suites might be pretty new as we had lots of bedside power ports (USB-C and USB-A) as well as similar setups by the desk area. While I could have used a fluffier pillow, the room was fairly quiet save the nighttime rain on the roof and rambunctious crows in the morning. Parking is right in front of your room door and the room included a nice cooked to order breakfast as well. The property owners also run the nice bakery/cafe, Fitz's pub and an inviting pizza restaurant in the same set of buildings.

The weather was warm and beautiful so an outdoor BBQ was the event the night before the wedding. Luscious ribs, links, burgers plus all the fixings were served alfresco with fire pits lit when the evening cooled. The next day the ceremony was held on the grass outdoors while the meal and dancing took place inside the new "Barn". The Barn was decorated beautifully with glittering lights​ lots of flowers, and elegant tableware. The food was fantastic, especially considering what a large wedding it was. I visited friends in their rooms, which were nicely appointed, yet simple in a contemporary style. Doolin is known for its Irish music and Hotel Doolin didn't disappoint with its bars and restaurant offerings. The Atlantic Ocean and the Cliffs of Mohr are just a few miles away. The village is charming and the people friendly. This was an idyllic wedding destination because there are numerous lovely B & B's in Doolin to accommodate all the guests.
