This is a little gem tucked away. The rooms were charming and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms are updated, and they even have a Dyson hair dryer, which really impressed me. We only stayed here one night, though. I really want to give this hotel 5 stars, but I'm torn. At about 9:30 pm, after taking a shower, my son was charging his Chromebook. All of a sudden, the fan shuts off, and both of our outlets are no longer working. There was no red light alerting us to a tripped outlet. My son rings the bell (which is what we were told to do in case of an emergency after hours), and no one came. After talking to our other family members, I learned that my parents' room also no longer has power. Now this is a huge problem, because he uses a CPAP machine, and he would not be able to use it without electricity. I also called the phone number on the list of instructions, and it did not connect me. I had other family members try this, and they also could not connect. We had no electricity for chargers and no fan. It was super hot in the room, even with the windows open. We ended up getting power about 6 am, but the fact remains that we were unable to contact anyone that night.
On a better note, their complimentary breakfast was gorgeous and delicious. Eddie, our server, was wonderful. I would probably skip this hotel if I'm in the area again, but I don't regret staying here. I just wish we were able to have contacted someone that night and then we would have had a better night. read more
