This is the menu, and I hope it helps you find something to order. Smash burger is the best thing IMO.

Incredible sandwiches and same great store as always! New owners are awesome! Including a pic of the key to help you decide what to get. The Munson's is a chicken wrap served hot and is absolute fuego

Lagunitas Grocery Store is the perfect pit stop for a nature filled day or weekend. They have a variety of grocery items: a selection of wine, fire wood, snacks, toiletries, and quintessential camping items like marshmallows, campfire popcorn, and instant rice. We had everything we needed for our weekend getaway at Samuel Taylor, and really only made a stop here for what they're known for: their deli, sandwiches, and friendly staff. I got the Rueben sans rye, replaced with Dutch crunch. It was absolute perfection. The pastrami was seasoned beautifully and wasn't dry or tough. They were cut into thin slices which made getting the perfect bite that much easier. My husband got the bbq sandwich and added onions and jalapeños. You get the smokiness of the meat and bbq sauce, and the tang from the pickled jalapeños. Grab yourself a bag of chips and a drink from the fridge to pair with your sandwich. Eat it inside and enjoy the tunes, or outside and enjoy the crisp, fresh air. Tip: This is the closest grocery store to Samuel Taylor park which is about a 10-15 minute drive. Consider stopping here if you need firewood and other essentials.

On your way to the redwoods or Point Reyes Station watch for this building with the ivy covered Ghost sign and pull into the parking lot. Get out of you car and go into the cafe/ grocery store and feel yourself transported into the 1960's. Feel your shoulders drop and maybe even notice that you are smiling. This is one of my bliss places. The food is great, the vibe is good. Its both dog and people friendly.

The co-owners, Loring and Jules. They're really nice folks.

I've been stopping by this place for many many years as going to the coast is one of my favorite escapes. The Sir Francis Drake Boulevard is one of the most efficient thoroughfares from U.S. 101 so this is a much traveled route for me. I've always like this place, but on this one stop, I happen to have a chat with one of the co-owners, Loring, who says they bought the place about three years ago. I knew there was something different. It just felt like it. While I always enjoyed the food in the past, Loring and Jules, the other co-owner, have raised the bar. It's not always the case when establishments change hands. When something you enjoyed just got better? What a lovely surprise. The food is good and they serve good stuff. I'll just call it "country chic" for the lack of a better personal term. Lagunitas Grocery just a bit east of Samuel P. Taylor State Park, midway from 101 to Point Reyes National Seashore and a whole lot of other destinations. So if you're motoring on through, give these guys a chance to prove their mettle to you. I truly enjoyed their food, not to mention their warm hospitality.

The food was so good! And the service equally impressive. I had the chicken salad: very fresh and flavorful. Friend 1 had chicken taquitos & cup of fruit: 5 stars. The taquitos were huge and she's never had fresher fruit. Friend 2 had a Turkey/Bacon/Swiss sandwich and it looked amazing. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. Don't sleep on this little gem. We'll definitely stop here again when we're in this area.

Ask the Community - Lagunitas General Store

Did this store go out of business? IF so, in May 2025 or May 2026? It's unclear. Thank you, neighbors!

It has been reborn and is open for business under new ownership. You should definitely stop by and check it out. Everything has been refreshed, lots of food options, outside seating. Truly a gem in the valley.

To be fair, they do also carry some alcohol, but the alcohol section pales in comparison to the sodas. I bought a bottle of Cock N Bull apple ginger beer (for anyone who doesn't already know this, ginger beer, like root beer, is completely non-alcoholic), and a can of Pocasville bebida de T de hibiscus. I was going to pick out more drinks, but noticed that there were no price stickers anywhere. So, naturally, I wanted to know how much they cost before picking too many out. When I went to the register with my two items, I was given some serious sticker shock. It was well over seven dollars for two sodas. Of course I understand that food is really expensive right now, and that, the further the food has to be transported before purchase, the more it costs. Still, wow. That seemed so high. In addition to the amazing selection of overpriced sodas, this small store also had a great selection of (pricey) chocolates, cheeses, and hiking snacks. Additionally, they have a produce section that actually makes the store in Curry Village Yosemite look good. There were exactly two lemons, two limes, three oranges, four apples, and one piece of ginger. The cashier was maybe a little odd, but friendly. He recognized the people in front of me by name, and had a nice little conversation with them. The store was neither exceptionally clean or dirty, but looked clean enough. Parking was very limited with only about three spots out front, but there appeared to be more places to park across the street. I did not yet patronize the fresh sandwich deli, which seems to be the main feature of this store. Maybe another time.
