The service is great and space is really clean and organized. The selection here is pretty insane with some of the more rare bottles of spirits unsurprisingly with a higher price tag. What a great store! It has something for everyone! We walked by with our kid and popped it to check out their candies and adult beverages. Near the front door, you walk by an ice cream fridge with cold bottles of alcohol. You get that same feeling as when you were a kid walking into a had station for ice cream but it was treats for adults. The shelves are stocked with a beautiful display of wines, spirits, and mixers. I liked their wine room with the water art display. The staff seemed friendly, but as we were paying, one staff member had his feathers ruffled by a customer so he made a very loud scene picking up a box of bottles. The staff just all looked at one another and didn't say anything to us. It was an awkward situation. read more

Sips has everything you can possible want to drink. We were looking at Eagle Rare and Joe walked up and asked us if we needed help. He was very knowledgeable on all items we asked about. Super helpful and the store is very clean. Very bright and well organized- not like most stores that sell alcohol. The place is classy. I was in the neighborhood and needed a Syrup and knew that this specialized Spirit store was nearby. I had recently replenished my Bourbon and Tequla stock, but this place looks like the proper place to find any libation spirits you might need to re stock your supply, as a libation fan or Mixologist. I only wound up buying an Alchemist Blood Orange syrup but will go back when I need to restock. I did notice they had some nostalgic candy like Big League chew and some Hello Kitty candy. read more

This is such a very pretty upscale liquor store. Came here to get a few things. I felt lost and had no clue where to even begin to look for the things I needed. I approached Robin and he was so kind to say 'I can help you find these' and he did. That kind of help is rare these days and I appreciated his help so much - he saved me so much time. A great store, it made me happy being in there - it's very bright, very clean, so many neat things to see and decorated so pretty. This is such a beautiful shop! I'm very glad they relocated to 1st Street where there's more foot traffic/potential business. Previously I had seen signs when they were located down a side street also in Benicia but never went in. It's very bright and tidy. The selection is huge! There's so much that I've never seen before. Definitely a bigger and better selection than BevMo, World Market, or Total Wine when it comes to spirits. They also have soda and snacks! We ended up getting two kinds of soju which I've never seen in any of the Asian markets before. Next time I'll consider getting Filipino ube rum or maybe more soju. The guy working at the counter was very helpful too! We had our hands full and he helped hold onto what we had until we were ready to check out. Stopped in for a bottle of 1792 Sweet Wheat that I was hunting for a while. I was fine paying slightly above msrp for it, but for other more highly allocated stuff, be prepared to pay a premium. Sips in Bencia goes beyond what you expect from a local liquor store. This is not just the run of a mill corner shop. Bright lights and shelves of alcohol welcome you. An old-timey car sits in the middle. A waterfall in the wine boutique adds another level of the quality of the store. If you want to practice your golf swings, go to the back and try their golf simulation. As for the alcohol, I'm not going to name every libation they carry. GOTTA STAY WARM ONE WAY OR ANOTHER Just left the States Cafe House and strolled down the street to run into nice white vibrant building with a very open feeling to it. We stepped inside to find Vino, Tequilas, CHELAS, and Congnacs Y MAS all along those walls. Almost felt like you were a kid running into KB TOYS(old Fairfield) for the first time. So speaking to the Owners, they used to have a small spot in one of the alleys in Benicia, and finally expanded into a big brick and mortar!!!! Congrats. They have shelves lined with Exotic Bottles ranging from everywhere, it is a place you need to take time to explore. Candies little knick-knacks and drinking games are available too.
