What a great store! It has something for everyone! We walked by with our kid and popped it to check out their candies and adult beverages. Near the front door, you walk by an ice cream fridge with cold bottles of alcohol. You get that same feeling as when you were a kid walking into a had station for ice cream but it was treats for adults. The shelves are stocked with a beautiful display of wines, spirits, and mixers. I liked their wine room with the water art display. The staff seemed friendly, but as we were paying, one staff member had his feathers ruffled by a customer so he made a very loud scene picking up a box of bottles. The staff just all looked at one another and didn't say anything to us. It was an awkward situation.

    Top shelf items.

Sips has everything you can possible want to drink. We were looking at Eagle Rare and Joe walked up and asked us if we needed help. He was very knowledgeable on all items we asked about. Super helpful and the store is very clean. Very bright and well organized- not like most stores that sell alcohol. The place is classy. They have some great other items like dip and dots, candy, and non alcoholic beverages. Prices are pricey, but if you're looking for something I am pretty sure they have it!

Liquor store located in Benicia that serves all varieties of alcohol and even tons of candy and items for parties that you can't find in regular liquor stores. They also have had a number of celebrities showcase their alcohol like 50 cent and Steph Curry! Located right down first street there's a small parking lot and some street parking. Looks like a busy spot and the workers are friendly. The store is huge!

Loved coming here. In the front of the store theres a variety of theater candy boxes and non alcoholic drinks! As for the variety of alcohol, I think the images I provided speaks for themselves. The workers were really helpful and kind. This is right on Benicia first street, and though I've always gone to Benicia, I've always missed SIPS so I'm glad I decided to give it a go. Will definitely be coming back!!

This is such a very pretty upscale liquor store. Came here to get a few things. I felt lost and had no clue where to even begin to look for the things I needed. I approached Robin and he was so kind to say 'I can help you find these' and he did. That kind of help is rare these days and I appreciated his help so much - he saved me so much time. A great store, it made me happy being in there - it's very bright, very clean, so many neat things to see and decorated so pretty. The back room is a small room full of wonderful wines and a lovely fountain. Just wow! Thank you again for your help, Robin.

For those who love liquor but are looking to class it up a bit than the regular corner liquor store... Try out Sips in Benicia. Located off the 1st street, this place provides a family friendly...but mostly over 21 vibe for your choice of snacks and sips with a good variety to choose. The guys who run the place seem to be knowledgable and helpful in order to help you find what you need and want. I got a couple of gifts for later projects but I will be coming back to support... Ciao for now!

This place opened earlier this year and have had celebrities come in and promote their liquor ! I missed those, but finally got to make it in there. Their selection is incredible! Not only alcohol, but snacks and candy!!! The perfect place to put together a great gift basket of goodies! The family that owns it and works there are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Clean, well-lit, and very well organized bottle shop with an exceptional selection especially hard to find bourbon. Friendly service, for sure. Stopped in for a bottle of 1792 Sweet Wheat that I was hunting for a while. I was fine paying slightly above msrp for it, but for other more highly allocated stuff, be prepared to pay a premium. Nice craft beer selection as well. If you're a connoisseur of fine whiskeys or beer, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

This place is so awesome!! They have everything alcohol you could possibly want here and at a fair price . They always have celebrities there promoting their alcohol. They really made Benicia a lot better!

Sips in Bencia goes beyond what you expect from a local liquor store. This is not just the run of a mill corner shop. Bright lights and shelves of alcohol welcome you. An old-timey car sits in the middle. A waterfall in the wine boutique adds another level of the quality of the store. If you want to practice your golf swings, go to the back and try their golf simulation. As for the alcohol, I'm not going to name every libation they carry. My photos are only a fraction of what they carry. What I look forward to trying is their tasting: wine, tequila, bourbon, etc. Check out the calendar.

I love this place now…read more It helps that I live only a couple blocks away from here. But man is the food good now. I feel like I've been going here at least once a month with friends and the experience is always really good. When we enter the music is always good. Usually it's some kind of oldie R&B or rock I think. This recent visit we tried the sliders for the 1st time and man were they good! They are better than the actual burger they have on the menu. The other one with the fig jam just tastes like it's trying too hard. I get that it's Benicia and the brewery is trying to be a little more upscaled but man I miss the burger they had with the Bacon Jam.

The menu selections were broad enough to be interesting, but not so deep that it felt overwhelming…read more I created a tasting, taking it slow, and enjoyed each of my selections. Starting with the Mt. Beautiful Estate Sauvignon Blanc, found this good. It's good, but not great. It's a decent wine but I think there are other more interesting Australian wines out there. The Rabble Rosé from Paso Robles was crisp with just an edge of tart. Like roasted strawberries, if that makes sense. And the Seaglass Riesling from the central coast is now a fave. It's a sweeter wine and a good end to a tasting, for sure. Glad I explored that one. It far exceeded my expectations. The vibe is good. The team is wonderful, caring and attentive, even if their internet went down and they weren't able to process cards quickly. They kept their frustrations focused on the tech and their attention on their customers. And the people who come in - there for a good time. This was our first experience here. We'll be back, for sure!

I was not allowed with my 5 month old baby to have a glass of wine in the patio. I was told there's a "no under 21" rule that apparently includes babies. That honestly didn't make sense to me. this is an infant, not even eating solid food yet. I've been to wineries in Napa with my baby and never had an issue, so this felt unwelcoming. This felt like a made up rule to protect non-mother customers, and Benicia is known for that. Horrible. What made it worse was how it was handled. The waitress(blonde, short hair mid-aged lady) came off rude and said, "no under 21, sorry--unless it's a dog haha," and then told me I could go to the taphouse on the corner. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. I even tried calling afterward to speak with a manager, but no one answered. Overall, it left a really bad impression, and I don't feel comfortable coming back after this.

It was a beautiful day, perfect for sitting outside and listening to live music. The staff was extremely helpful, answering all of our questions and even offering tastes of their beers and sours. I'm not usually a fan of sours, so I went with the Ernst Amber Ale, while my friends ordered the Cosmo Sour and the P-Wing Sour. For sours, they were surprisingly tasty. I may have to give them another chance. Street Steam Bunz was the food truck of the day, and we ordered rice bowls with bulgogi beef and chicken katsu. Both were served with fried rice, ginger, and pickled cucumbers, and everything was delicious. A great way to spend a Sunday. Five Suns and Street Steam Bunz both earn five stars from me.
