Excellent food and service! Highly recommend!!! The chaat and butter chicken are delicious! read more

This place is the best place for Indian food for miles. Everything is perfectly flavoured and seasoned and tastes fresh and light. Love the naan bread and the mixed chicken sampler but I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and it's all excellent, whether vegetarian or meat dishes. They offer a cash discount and the food travels very well. Service is friendly and efficient. read more

Picked up delicious Indian take out in the most unexpected location! Lageez at Pharmacy and St. Clair. The food was delicious and ready on time, prices were quite reasonable, especially considering the quality, and they have hubby's favourite Okra dish, and do it the best of all the places we have tried. The butter chicken was not too sweet, a relief since so many other places make it too sweet. The lamb was really tender, my favourite. After trying take out places in Scarborough, and Gerrard Street, and never finding "the one", Lageez is the winner. Might try dining in next time, but it is great having a reliable place for take out. Don't let the tiny residential plaza fool you, just walk in and the delicious smell of the food will tell you, that you've arrived! read more

Cozy place to eat Indian food. We ordered chicken korma and half tandoori chicken. The korma was very rich and the chicken was tender. The tandoori chicken came to our table smoking hot on a sizzling plate; deep smoky flavour. Decently priced and service was good. Washroom was clean, hot water was functional +1. I would definitely come back. read more

Lageez - Roti, chicken korma - Indian Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

Really good Indian food! For a small strip mall location, in somewhat of a run down area, fairly nice restaurant. We had the Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani and Lamb Vindaloo. All dishes were very good, large portions and prepared fresh. The naan bread was delicious. Gave 4 stars for slow service, there was only one person out front, but there was only one other small table occupied. Still waiter was friendly, just seemed to take excessively long to take order, bring drinks and deliver bill at end. Will go back, leaning to takeout. read more

My son liked to go to other restaurant, once i told him to come here. He eat here and liked the food, it was hygenic and delicio-ous. Highly recommended. Keep up the good work. read more

Thee best Indian food I've had in Toronto and I've tried a bunch. Had the lamb Korma and it was absolute perfection. Portion sizes are big, food is flavourful and I just can't wait to go back and try out some more dishes. The guy at the front desk is also so friendly which made my experience even better. Trust me this place is a must try. Can't get enough. read more

Excellent food, attentive and nicely paced service. Worth the trip to 'lower' scarborough. No reason not to give the five stars. Easily better than anything in the Gerrard strip, I always feel disappointed with the food in little India. read more

Absolutely loved the place. It was light and tasty. We stumbled on it thanks to Yelp and it was one of these miraculous surprises!!

Amazingly good food. Everything was excellent. My girlfriend and I got the mixed veg platter and mixed chicken platter to start . She had the chicken korma and I had the chicken madras. Both great. Korma very mild and Madras somewhat spicy but mostly flavourful. The garlic naan is beautiful and soft and very flavourful as well. I've been to many Indian restaurants across the world, and this is is one of my favourites for sure. read more

This place is amazing. Not only is all the food great, but the whole thali thing.... That's just top notch. Most Indian restaurants I go to near where I live serve every dish individually. So I either need to order tons (which I can't eat all of and is expensive)... Or I order a couple dishes and don't get variety. Which is fine... But it's better as a thali! A thali (I think) is a small platter style of serving. For me it's the best way to enjoy Indian food because I can have so much variety, with just a small portion of everything. Pakora, Palak paneer, Chicken tikka, naan, some rice, dessert and more... All for like $12 or something. And it's all phenomenal. It's far from where I live, but I think I'll make excuses to go to that neck of the woods whenever possible just to eat here. read more

Good food. Ordered Palak paneer, Aloo gobi! , and daal makhani. Large portions when I ordered takeout and the place looks better on the inside read more

Do yourself a favour and get 2 x palak paneer and a bunch of garlic and regular naans! Aloo gobi is great as well! Go to spot for indian takeout read more

I've lived down the street from lageez for 7 years and never frequented because it's so nestled away in a nondescript strip mall in Scarborough. After taking out dinner the other day I'm convinced this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Toronto. Delicious food, decent portions and quick turnaround for a large order. Will definitely be back. read more

I was super excited when I saw a new Indian restaurant had opened where Hamish Fish and Chips used to be on Pharmacy, just north of St. Clair. My excitement only increased when my neighbours had a chance to try it before I did. He is a former professional chef and she was born and raised in India. They both raved about it, and said it was as good as any food they'd had in India. Although I've never been to India myself, I trust their opinion. I have eaten a lot of Indian food from a lot of different restaurants, and Lageez is definitely the best Indian food I've ever had. We ordered the mixed vegetable appetizers, butter chicken (of course), chicken Tikka masala, spinach and paneer, naan, and rice. Everything was incredible. We all sat at the table closing our eyes and moaning with every bite. English doesn't have a word for eating past the point of being full just because the food tastes good, but we need one. Because that's how I feel right now. Please, everyone go to Lageez, because I have now made it my personal mission to make sure this new Indian restaurant stays in business for a very long, long time to come. read more

The booze and food is very affordable. .making for a nice dinner out. Saw lots of people coming in to pick up takeout. ..next time we will try the take out as well read more

This restaurant was a real find. The location seems a little sketchy but once inside the restaurant any feelings of unease immediately dissipates. Clean and bright inside with wonderful friendly service. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious. The vindaloo has just the right amount of spice and the grilled meats were tender and flavourful. Definately worth going there if you get a chance - can't recommend it enough! read more

I love this place!! Best Indian Restaurant in Scarborough!! Their Naans are shaped like giant tennis racquets! Small but lovely atmosphere & good wine list. Great place for a small gathering or a date! I also do takeout a lot. They have some incredible lunch specials...they are huge and delicious. read more

Absolutely love this hidden gem and happy its nearby. The lunch specials are incredible, filling and delicious, comes with naan and dessert so good. Not overly sweet balls but warm and perfect way to finish off the meal. Love the fish curry, always large thick chunks and melts in your mouth. Been here many times and tried all the curry dishes and tandoori chicken, everything I tried has been great! You can taste the freshness and home cooked quality in each plate. read more

Haven't been to this area before and arrived starving but only saw gas stations and McDonalds on the map, which gave me super low expectations of getting anything vegetarian, never mind delicious. Instead, thanks to Yelp, I just enjoyed a delightful homestyle lunch of saag paneer (spinach and cheese) with dahl (lentil stew), rice and hot buttered nan bread. Plus a galub jamun (syrup donut ball) to finish! This meal hit all the right buttons: scrumptious, filling and healthy - with fast, great service too. I'm happy enough here to also order a chai to wash down dessert and this ain't no sugary Starbucks imitation, the flavours are intense and brilliant from long and careful brewing. Just what I needed today. Namaste, Lageez! read more

Consistently amazing each and every single time. As an indian person who has tried many restaurants all over the GTA, this restaurant beats out all of their popular competitors (host, little India, kamasutra etc). Highly recommend for any local or worth the drive! read more

After we discovered our regular go-to spot was closed, this place was recommended to us by friends so we thought we'd give it a shot. We ordered the butter chicken, garlic naan and saffron rice. Like many other reviews, we found the garlic naan delectable! However, the butter chicken tasted like water and tomato sauce thrown into a sauce pan, heavy on the water, light on the sauce, and that was about it. Would not get again. read more

Went on a quiet Sunday afternoon and the experience was v nice. We had Tandoori Mixed Grill, Chicken kadhai, they were all flavorful. Their mint green chutney was v fresh n added to the overall taste. Naan was nicely buttered n soft. However the lachcha paratha was bit more crispier to my liking, cud have been less baked. Overall good meal in Scarborough. They say they are busy on weekends evening, hoping the qualilty of food and service are as good. read more

Definitely a hidden gem in a small plaza at the corner of St.Clair/ Pharmacy. Arrived on a quiet Friday night. Service was excellent, and food was VERY fresh and flavorful. Will be going back! read more

As an Indian who has access to delicious homemade Indian food, my standards for Indian food at restaurants are extremely high. And let me tell you, Lageez met my expectations and then some. We ordered the tandoori grill plate, the tandoori shrimp, the butter chicken, and lamb korma. Everything was excellent. The shrimp in particular was noteworthy - they were huge, juicy, and extremely flavourful! The portion sizes are very generous, and the accompanying naan was fresh and HUGE. Even the regular ol rice was cumin scented and delicious! It's definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the city and excellent value to boot. I look forward to returning and trying more items on their menu. read more

Great service and food above all! Friendly staff and clean atmosphere. One of the best restaurant I went to for this type of cuisine.

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TOTAL!! We ordered soup, veg samosa, onion bahji, chat papari, tandoori shrimp, mutter paneer, garlic naan and tandoori roti on May 6th. Total was $59.88. When we got to the restaurant to pick up our food total was $10 more than advertised. Worst of all the cashier admitted their online prices have been wrong for two years!!!!! un acceptable. Nothing was done and we were forced to walk away as I only brought $65 in cash. Worst service, wasted gas, time and he would not adjust the price to reflect their online menu. read more

I popped in here this week for lunch with a friend. We only had about 45 minutes, so we were going to do the takeout specials. Our server told us if we wanted to have a sit down meal, he'd get it out to us fast. And he did! I had the chicken thali and it was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was very well seasoned. The portion size was big enough to take half home and make a second lunch out of it. The naan was a bit greasier than I am used to seeing, but hot damn it was good. The place itself is small, clean, and nicely decorated. Our server was really friendly and made sure we enjoyed our meal. I will be back here! read more

Good food! We had chicken briyani, chicken platter, mango lassi, and pharata. Size was just right. The briyani stood out! Chicken was moist. Pharata was cold, but tasty. We will definitely order from this restaurant again! read more

The lamb in this place is really good. Portions are good for 2 people. The decor was pretty intimate and small. If there was more people it would have been crowded. But overall I enjoyed it. Would definitely cone back read more

You order and let the pros make it for you. Then, enjoy! Like I did. I recommend the chicken thali with the bel puri

This place was nothing short of phenomenal. I hadn't had lamb in years, and I was hesitant when I ordered it. The tandoori platter/combo just sounded so delicious. It was such a good call!! The lamb was so tender and the paneer was amazing. The service was super nice as well. We will be back here asap. The prices are also super super reasonable! read more

Looking for good Indian food close to home and found this place on BlogTO's Best Indian Restaurants. Ordered take out Butter Chicken, vegetable biriyani, Dal Tadka, Onion Bhaji and the butter naan. The sauce for the butter chicken is delicious! It's velvety and rich and flavourful. The Dal Tadka was runnier than I was expecting but was well seasoned. The onion bhaji was crunchy on the outside and dense but soft on the inside. The naan was chewy and soft with a good tandoor oven toast on them. Portions were large enough to have left overs for another meal. The restaurant looked very clean and quite nicely decorated. Will have to eat in another day. Our first impression of Lageez is extremely favourable. I no longer have to drive across the city to have great Indian food. read more

Lageez Althenic Indian Cuisine is our friends go to restaurant when they want to go out for Indian food. They have tried many other restaurants but they like Lageez the best. Our friends found that their food is not as salty as other Indian restaurants. We ordered Veg. Samosa as appetizers, very tasty. Tandoori chicken, well seasoned and the chicken meat was still moist. Goan Fish curry, my favorite, just the right amount of spice. The curry sauce was quite generous that we added a extra order of butter naan bread to soak up the sauce. Palak Paneer which is Indian cottage cheese with pureed spinach, this dish goes along well with the naan and rice that came with our 2 main courses. We ended our meal with Gulab Jamun, deep fried dough similiar to a donut hole and soaked in a sweet syrup. Sharing a order was just enough to finish the meal. The restaurant is small so a reservation is recommended to avoid disappointment. I will definitely be back. read more

Great North Indian influenced food. The vindaloo will start your scalp sweating - butter chicken is excellent, but heavy on the cream. Naans were acceptable. Didn't have much else, but we will go back. Takeout was fast and efficient but for some reason their on line prices are out of date (they warned me about this on the phone). I'm Indian and this stuff is better than 90% of the the Indian restos in town. read more
