When things began to thaw after the winter storm, we found water coming up from the kid's bathroom…read morefloor. I immediately shut the water off at the main and got on the phone in search of a plumber. Considering all the plumbing emergencies, finding a plumber proved to be quite difficult. We managed to get on a few waiting lists, but Joe was the first to provide any direct personal attention. Atech was about the 6th place we called and Joe went over and above the call of duty by walking me through some troubleshooting to get a handle on our situation, which turned out to be a slab leak as well as a leak at the shutoff valve. They got us on their schedule with the understandable disclaimer that our time slot could not be guaranteed due to the extenuating circumstances. As we waited for our turn, we received notice from other plumbers that it would be at least two weeks before they could get to us. Nick arrived at our house about a week after our initial contact (only one day off schedule), assessed the situation, and got the pipes capped, so we had some water. He gave us a quote for repairs and proceeded with rerouting lines. After turning the water back on for the first time since the thaw, we discovered another leak in the master bath! Nick discussed it with Joe and did extra work to get everything repaired the next day while honoring the original quote. Both bathrooms and the water heater were rerouted with new Pex tubing and no busting up our slab. I cannot give Atech high enough praise for their handling of this. I will most definitely be using them for all my future plumbing needs.

We really wanted to like these guys. We had them install a tankless water heater. That actually…read morewent well. But services past that have actually caused our family headaches in many ways. We kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt even after a grossly overcharged visit but most recently, their techs forgot to reconnect our water heater upon leaving (they brought the wrong parts and couldn't fix the problem) so we were stuck over the weekend with no hot water and no response. There are too many plumbing companies in our area to continue to use one that just can't seem to provide quality service at a decent price and NOT leave you in the lurch. We are done with A Tech.

I never lie to my fellow Yelpers. I had some ticket shock at the cost of the unblocking of my…read morewastewater line. BUT, there is a positive to the service that I have to bear in mind, too.... especially given the dire circumstances. And you'll see why the sticker shock still gets four stars. And by the way Kinsey Plumbing managers, Johnny Salazar is top notch. The block in the line prevented us from using almost any other water in the house because it backed up into the bathroom at that point. The fix was over $700 to inspect the line with a camera, determine a toilet had to be removed and the line scoured to clear it and help prevent another blockage. But I knew the cost up front. So, what are the POSITIVES? Really good service. First this happened on Labor Day! I called Kinsey Plumbing and I actually reached a person! (Head exploding emoji here) I was put in the cue for ASAP the next day. Around 8 a.m. I received a call my tech is on the way. They texted me a picture and name of the employee who was on the way. Just as my coffee was finished brewing Johnny Salazar was here. The line was inspected, and the guaranteed cost was given to me beforehand. It was drawn up on his tablet and ready to sign. I could have said no and tried to get another company and I would have been out only a few bucks for the inspection. But I went ahead. Johnny was very respectful of my elderly mother and handicaped brother in the house and politely gave them a minute to wake up and get their housecoats on and settle in the living room and then he got to work. He was efficient and quickly moved the toilet, cleared the line and did a nice job replacing and caulking the toilet. Oh, and I had a handle on the toilet he fixed as a 'while I'm in here' gesture, too. No extra charge since I had the part. I received a text from the company a little later to ask if I was satisfied with the service and how could they improve. Look, plumbing can be expensive to fix. I get it. But service deserves to be rewarded in an industry that has so many people eager to just slap something together, grab the dinero and go. I like Kinsey and I will use them again when needed.
