Really enjoyed Laemmle! This theater chain has been around since the late '30s, and they feature the latest independent, foreign & art films. We caught a film here while we were in the area, and our experience did not disappoint! The theatre itself is very clean and well-kept with extremely comfortable chairs. The staff here are friendly and welcoming, and there is a concession stand, right by the entrance. Note that there is no 'waiting' area, so try to come near your movie showing. Metered street and garage parking can be found in the area. +great selection of independent and foreign films! +friendly staff! +comfortable chairs! +metered street and garage parking available

A great theatre complex with modern décor, comfortable seating and great views from every seat. The staff is friendly and helpful, the concessions are good and they validate parking. There is also street and metered parking. They screen many international movies and ones you will not find at the big theaters. I highly recommend catching a movie here.

Decent theatre screen but you can tell the seats have been there a while by the worn out headrests. Pick the last 2-3 rows so you're not straining your head looking up at the screen. Parking is validated by the theatre if you park a block away at The Exchange parking lot. 4 hours for $1.

Went to this theater to support an indie Filipino film & thought it was great! It's very clean on the inside, the seats are spacious, & they have good amenities. They also offer free parking with validation in the structure just down the street! Would visit again if I was in the area - it's important to support smaller theaters (-:

Recently hosted a film screening here and the on-site staff was awesome! The manager couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. The place is perfectly set up for a community film screening. You will probably have to pay for parking. There is a lot with validation that will end up costing you $1. Concessions are also interesting and varied - definitely not just the popcorn and soda type. The theater itself was very nicely done with comfortable seating and a layout that allows everyone to get a good view of the screen. Highly recommend as a place to host a screening. And really looking forward to going here just to watch one of their very well-curated current films!

I usually visit this theater 'cause they have screenings of movies you can't find at any other theaters such as foreign language, independent and restricted rated films. The rooms are small and compact; but they have plenty of room between rows. Restrooms are nice and clean. They have a nice menu on concessions as well as the usual. Parking validation for $1 for 4hrs at N Artsakh Ave across Wilson (exchange parking lot) and there's also paid lots nearby or street parking just don't forget to check the signs.

4.5 for a cute little movie house in town! They surprisingly offer vegan food on the menu including their popcorn (butter is optional on the side) which is a plus plus! Nice staff, clean theaters and hallways, and a great experience!

Super clean and comfy theater

Such a cool hidden gem. The theater is very clean, including the bathrooms, and comfortable with plenty of indie selections. Worth the higher price if you're into a quieter experience focused on the movie, with little to none of the long ads and previews at the beginning. Seems the crowd brings in true movie fanatics, at least when I was there for a foreign film, I saw zero kids my entire time at the theater, both before and after the movie. Plus they have a concession stand for your needs, with premium canned drinks and bottled waters in addition to popcorn. I'll be back in the future!

When I was little, my dad's favorite place to take me was the movie theatre. I'm not sure I told him but I hated it. Why am I watching a movie in the DARK (scary) with strangers, in a chair that legitimately folds me inside of it (a guardian had to sit their leg on the edge of my seat to prevent this until I was heavy enough; around 3rd grade!) . I never have been a fan of movie theatres. IPIC is very different. No strangers

The seats were way too close together, and the person next to us had belongings spread into the shared space, making it very difficult to get in and out of our seats comfortably. Because of how uncomfortable the situation was, we decided to leave during the previews before the movie even started. We politely explained the issue to the manager and asked if we could either move to different seats -- even less expensive ones -- or receive some type of accommodation such as passes for another movie. Unfortunately, the manager refused to help in any way and would not issue a refund, exchange, or even offer courtesy tickets. For a theater that markets itself as a luxury experience and charges premium prices, I expected much better customer service. Other theaters like AMC are usually much more understanding and willing to work with customers when issues arise. Instead, we left feeling frustrated after paying for a movie we never got to watch. Sadly, this experience completely turned us off from coming back.

The movie theater itself was very clean, organized, and well maintained, so I have no complaints about the facility. Unfortunately, our experience at the concession stand was concerning. We paid with cash, and the young woman assisting us reached her fingers inside a new cup when handing it to me. I politely asked if she could please give me another cup without putting her fingers inside it. She seemed genuinely surprised and offended that I asked. The same thing happened with the popcorn. She used her bare hands and fingers to grab the popcorn bucket and pour the popcorn, with her fingers and knuckles coming into contact with the inside of the bucket and the food. I have seen other employees at the theater use gloves and follow proper food handling practices, which is why this interaction was especially surprising. I understand that young employees are learning, and I am not trying to attack or embarrass anyone personally. However, I do think management should reiterate proper food-handling and sanitation procedures, especially when employees are working the concession stand independently. I simply hope this can be used as a training opportunity. The theater itself was clean and nice, but food safety should be taken just as seriously.

While my two fave ladies were spending time together, my son and I spent quality time together watching the movie The Odyssey at Regal La Canada. The Odyssey was a very entertaining movie that I highly recommend and watching this summer blockbuster at Regal La Canada made for good first time experience there. It's more of an old school movie theater with quality customer service and tasty food. When we entered the small strip mall with the movie theater was the main focal point, I was a little confused because the signage on the building was United Artists (UA) theater not Regal theaters. If you've lived in California awhile, then you should be familiar with the UA brand movie theaters, which is why I had a sense of nostalgia seeing the UA moniker. UA was purchased by Regal, so this movie theater is part of the Regal movie theater chain specifically located in La Cañada Flintridge. There are a few other shops located in this strip mall, but the one I remember is North Shore Burgers. There is plenty of parking at this location and the traffic flow is one way as you enter the strip mall. We watched The Odyssey during matinee hours, so it wasn't that crowded, but I got the feel that this wasn't a busy movie theater. The staff here provided quality customer service and were friendly. I had ordered tickets the day before, but mistakenly purchased tickets for the wrong day. I left a message to request a refund and when I tried to call a second time, a manager answered while I was leaving a message and she promptly refunded my money providing quality service like her staff. Regal UA La Canada gives off an old school vibe. The movie theater definitely needs some modernizing with regards to their leather recliner chairs and the layout of their seats, but I actually liked the old school vibe. When your order popcorn, the staff asks if you want butter and they're the ones placing butter into your popcorn. I prefer self service, but they did a good job buttering my popcorn. The popcorn was fresh when I initially ordered and when I requested a refill. My son ordered a pepperoni pizza and that too came out well made with the cheese melted and the crust crunchy. Their leather seats aren't the electronic recliners, but rather they're the pull out lever old school recliners. They worked fine and the leather seating was comfortable. Even the restrooms were old school, but they were clean. There were also some arcade games for the kids to occupy themselves while waiting or after watching a movie. While my two fave ladies spent quality time together, my son and I got to hang out and watched a Must See movie The Odyssey. We had a fun first time experience at Regal UA La Canada.

This theater has not been updated recently and the seats are beginning to show their age. We are regal unlimited members, so we see a lot of movies and hit a lot of the local options. The regal at paseo Colorado is much nicer and has recently been updated. They have power reclining seats that are larger and more comfortable and they have a tray that swings out in front of you for you to put your snacks on. The seats here are manual recline, early 2000s style. The regal in NoHo is amazing and has a 4D theater and is in a very nice, new plaza. Of all the local theaters this one is usually my last choice.

The atmosphere during the movie was also a mess, the crowd was talking most of the time and constantly walking in and out, which kept letting outside light into the room. Since we liked it so much, we've definitely continued the tradition of going, and while I enjoy a lot of what the Electric Dusk Drive-In has to offer, there are a few details that do not keep me coming back every time. Pros: - Walking distance to plenty of food. Just park in your spot, hop out, and you have a lot of Glendale's finest down Brand Blvd! You really don't need to settle for typical movie food. - I'm sure this might not apply to everyone, I LOVE it's in the middle of the city. It's bustling, nice view, city lights--perfect for watching movie. - Good movie selection. While I also wish that they showed newer movies from time-to-time, the catalogue they prepare is a lot of great choices. - Snacks and bathrooms available. - Portable radios (so you don't kill your car battery) and headlight covers. Cons: - The biggest one by far is the price. Up until a year or so ago, you paid about $30 with fees to have your car in the lot, and each additional person was at most $8--still expensive, but certainly not completely out of the question. Now, you're looking at at least $23 PER PERSON, which makes this a 'once in a while' event rather than something fun to do every other weekend. It's a shame, and I know that prices are raising everywhere, but it's not feasible to spend $50 to see a movie in a parking lot, and $100 for a family of four? That's horribly unrealistic. I've noticed they're upped their prices on a lot of their packages, with the VIP up-close a whopping $75 a vehicle. And while I love this place, and think the people work hard running it, it's not worth that much just to be up front. - Rude staff. I certainly haven't really experienced it much in the last few years, but there are a couple of the people parking that can really get on your case for seemingly no reason. Like I said, I think those people have cycled out, but it's something to keep an eye out on. I absolutely recommend going! But be prepared for an expensive night out.

Tickets are bought online and range in price. Astro turf seating is $13 per person or $20 for two. No car parking is included (so you have to park outside the event) and you have to bring your own chair or rent one from them. Early Bird Car Entry + Driver is $28 ($20 for the car fee, $8 for the driver). Additional passengers are $8 per person. VIP is $75 and covers 1 car and 4 people for front row seating (just behind the astro turf area). Doors open either an hour or an hour & a half before showtime. When we scoped out the place, there was a sign that said exactly when the doors were going to be opened in the driveway. Since we had time (we were a wee bit too early), we went around the corner to get some grub. When we came back, we were second in line roughly a half hour before opening. Not too shabby and I definitely recommend showing up early to get a good spot (unless you're a VIP fancy pants). The line formed shortly after and wrapped around to Central. Pro tip - don't be a jerkasaurus and try to cut in line! The employees do notice anyone trying to pull a fast one and will make you go to the back of the line. Electric Dusk Drive-In is located off of Central Ave and California Ave in the old Sears parking lot. You cannot turn left into the parking lot on California! You have to enter from Central so that you turn right into the lot and don't block traffic. It was entertaining seeing so many people not grasp this simple idea. Once inside, the employees will scan your tickets and direct you where to park. If you want to back up and watch from your trunk, tell them and they'll help you out. If you're worried about your car battery dying out - bring your own radio or you can rent a transistor radio from them. If you listen via your car radio and it dies, they'll help jumpstart your car after the show. For restrooms, they provide two porta potties in the back side along with a hand washing station. If you're feeling munchy, they have a concession stand near the entrance but I'd encourage just getting your food beforehand from any eatery around the area (The Great White Hut is directly across the street). If you're thinking about trying Electric Dusk Drive-In, stop thinking and just do it already! They have a wide variety of movies to choose from (some are double-features) so you're covered no matter your taste of genre. It's such a fun nostalgic night and I can't wait to go back!
