Takes me back to a time I rode my Mongoose to the theatre at the Battlefield Mall in Springfield, Missouri on a summer day, dump my bike somewhere beside the building so I could smoke a Marlboro Red, met my best friend, rolled the box up in my sleeve and watched a Charles Bronson flick two or three times in a day.

Seats were comfortable, film print was soft and lovely to behold. First off: parking. No lot, but we arrived for 11:15pm doors opening at 11 and were rewarded with an off hours meter right out front. Then, lined up behind other early patrons, behind the sign stating ONE LINE. Whether you've pre-purchased tix online, or will purchase at box office, each guest goes in one at a time with an issued BO ticket stub. FAB! Greeted and welcomed warmly by staff. LOVED that the manager came up to the front on a mic and spoke a bit about the theater and the formats then announced house rules: cell phones away, no conversations, be a decent human. (I may have added the 3rd, but that was the gist.) Previews were curated to align with "True Romance" - SO COOL! We were treated to the original theater trailers for "Bandlands"(1973), "Bonnie & Clyde"(1967) and "Wild at Heart"(1990). Seats were comfy, traditional, OG movie theater seats. Plush fabric on padding - no reclining here! Our seats in the front row were a perfect distance to the screen and we thoroughly enjoyed "our movie." We have multiple formats and release of this Tony Scott(RIP) film from a Quentin Tarantino/Roger Avary(uncredited) script, but NOTHING beats the "pops", "hits" and beautiful colors of 45mm film. New Beverly Cinema is proud of their (Mr. Tarantino's) collection and lovingly share many awesome classics at a very fair price. I've previously purchased merch (Rick Dalton & international release version "Resevoir Dogs" shirts) for Hubs from their website and we've been happy with the quality of everything. Tonight, I was a bit disappointed they weren't carrying "True Romance" shirts, but that's okay, '...usually, that's the way it goes, but every once in awhile, it goes the other way too.' Cheers! "CC"

From the moment we walked up, she greeted us with the warmest smile and such genuine kindness that it instantly stood out. Her customer service exceeded every expectation and made us feel truly welcomed and appreciated. Carrie was friendly, patient, professional, and had such a positive attitude the entire time. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers she interacts with, and that kind of energy is rare to find nowadays. She turned what would normally be a simple concession stand interaction into something memorable. Honestly, employees like Carrie are the reason people come back. Great customer service leaves a lasting impression, and she absolutely deserves recognition for how amazing she was tonight. Thank you, Carrie, for making our 10:30 PM movie experience even more enjoyable!

I did appreciate their Devil Wears Prada themed lounge/bar area plus their photo ops areas - booth and staircase. So movie decor promotions were 9/10. As far as the movie theater itself, it seemed like our theatre was older, as the seats didn't recline. I thought reclining seats was standard nowadays. So I'd give the actual theater a 7/10. My friends got some popcorn from the concession stands and the line wasn't too long. We were disappointed that there weren't any more themed popcorn buckets, magazines, sunglasses, nor keychains left, and we came the Sunday of opening weekend. Since it wasn't that busy, I also suggest they clean up the area a bit, as the trash by the butter was overflowing, and were left a bit messy. 6/10 Overall, my friends and I had a good time, especially since it's at The Grove. Lesson learned is to check which exact movie theatre you're getting since reclining chairs are not standard seats there.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience recently. Part of this is from poor service at the box office and part of this is due to lack of any customer service from FANDANGO. I went to see the Revenant re-release in IMAX on 2/26/26 at 8:45pm. I purchased two tickets in advance on Fandango and unfortunately the day of, my friend who I was going to see the movie with got really sick and could not risk getting me or anyone else sick. Being that I bought the tickets on Fandango I was prompted to go to the box office to pick them up. When I arrived at the box office to get my tickets, I explained my situation to the person working and asked if I could get a refund or an exchange and use the ticket at a later date?! This person told me that because I bought it through Fandango, I have to deal with them. That was frustrating, but I understand because it was technically purchased through a third-party. The ticket was $27.44, which is very steep but seeing a film at this theater, especially such an amazing film in IMAX would make that price worth it, IF THE TICKET WAS USED!!!! I was looking forward to this experience very much and telling everyone I knew about it. Being that I arrived to the movie on time that means I did not have time to process the refund on Fandango before going to the movie. I reached out to Fandango the next day and I was informed that because I didn't process the return prior to the movie starting I cannot get a refund or an exchange. While I understand that may be the policy, only one out of two tickets were used. I had 2 separate confirmation numbers for my 2 tickets and only one of them was used. I received nothing for the money that I paid, which makes this all feel like a big scam. I spoke with someone via Fandango's chat feature and the issue was escalated further to the Fandango customer service team and I received an email basically telling me what I just explained; they can't do anything for me because I didn't process the refund prior to the film. I feel like my hands are/were tied. I tried MY best and not given any real solution from either fandango or the theater. I am not leaving this review to shade the theater itself, it's more because I couldn't find a way to leave a review for Fandango. Ultimately though if the theater can't/won't do something to honor this or at least have a little compassion, it makes me wonder if I need to be spending my hard earned money there?! If the policy is genuinely that you have to make the return before the film starts, I would've appreciated the person of the box office at least telling me that. I could've let it go and just accepted the L. But I feel like I was kind of sent on a wild goose chase and that's why I am upset. Main take away, solidify your plans prior to going to the film so that you can make a return if necessary and do not use Fandango to get tickets.

My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

The first-floor lobby had no seating at all, despite the theater branding itself as a luxury, comfort-focused experience. I politely asked if I could sit for a few minutes in the empty restaurant seating area, which was completely unused at the time, and was repeatedly told no due to "policy." While I understand policies exist, I was surprised that no reasonable accommodation or alternative seating was offered for a disabled patron who was simply waiting for family. What upset me most was not just the lack of accessibility-minded accommodations, but the dismissive attitude I encountered from several employees and the difficulty I had even obtaining the manager's name. For a theater that emphasizes comfort and premium service, I expected far more compassion, professionalism, and awareness regarding accessibility needs.

I was pleasantly surprised by some of the modern concessions they had, specifically the cans of LaCroix they were selling. Love it. This is located on a busy part of Wilshire. But don't panic. There's parking for you if you're stealthy. Right before you approach the theatre, there's a small side street called Holt. If you turn onto Holt, it's free residential parking all the way down (please read the signs though). Parking closer to the theatre on this street will get you one free hour of parking but if you park several blocks down will give you more time. Consider this option if you don't mind a bit of a walk. I hope to come here for more screenings in the future.

Watching movies on a rooftop with headphones, cozy seating, and the city atmosphere around you is honestly unmatched. I love the movie selection. They always have great films in rotation, especially nostalgic and romantic classics. Watching The Notebook here was unforgettable. It was romantic, funny, and somehow perfectly timed because it started lightly drizzling during the rain scene on screen. It made the whole moment feel surreal and cinematic. I believe the first popcorn is either free or included with the ticket, which is a really nice touch. The food and drinks are solid, and the overall vibe is relaxed but thoughtfully curated. Definitely bring your own blankets, especially on cloudy or cooler nights, because it gets extra cozy. One tip is to always check the weather before going, since it is an outdoor rooftop experience. That said, the atmosphere is worth it, and I will absolutely keep booking here whenever I'm in the mood for a nostalgic movie night with a unique twist. Highly recommend for date nights or a fun, different evening out.

We checked in at the front entrance and took the slow-moving elevator up to the rooftop. It wasn't a huge deal, but definitely something that stood out. When we got to the top, we were asked to fill out a waiver on our phones--super quick and easy, but honestly something that could've been done earlier when buying tickets online. Parking in the area was $20 at a lot across the street. Not terrible for a Friday night in LA, but still worth mentioning. Your ticket includes skate rental and one drink, so we grabbed a Paloma (the other option was not available) which hit the spot. Unfortunately, the skating surface was a bit of a letdown--treaded hard plastic mats that didn't offer a smooth ride. It took a lot of effort to move and wasn't beginner-friendly. Plus there was a tricky spot that tripped up more than a few skaters. The biggest surprise was the low energy overall--music was pretty quiet, and the vibe felt more relaxed than festive. We expected more of a party atmosphere for a Friday night rooftop in the heart of LA. It was still fun to do something different and hang out with our group, but unless they upgrade the floor or amp up the energy, it's probably a one-and-done for us. Tips: - Allow extra time for the elevator to the 3rd floor. - $20 parking lot across the street. - 1 Drink included, so grab one and make the most of it!
