What a cute little place! It doesn't look like much from the outside but we were so pleased with the fresh delicious food and friendly, and prompt service. We grabbed two sandwiches, with chips and side salad. The sweet tea was so good and refreshing and not too sweet. We bought some cupcakes for the ride! Found this place thanks to Yelp while road-tripping. I definitely prefer to support local rather than stopping for blah fast food. This was a quick and easy detour! I got the chicken salad sandwich on wheat with a side salad. It was good but not great. The chicken was a bit chewy, which kind of gave me the ick. I only ate half of it. It was very filling. Overall, everything tasted fresh. Much better than other quick options. I also got a chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream. This was yummy. I wouldn't say it's the best cupcake I've ever had, but I did really enjoy it! The workers were all very friendly, on the phone and in the store. If we ever drive this way again, I'd choose to stop here again when I need a quick meal on the go. read more

What a find!!! Driving from DC to Nashville puts you right about here for lunch. Pulled up their menu ahead of time based on a few Yelp reviews...ordered up....confident that yelpers for the most part wouldn't steer me wrong. The online menu had sandwiches which were perfect to eat while driving as we are quite careful about Covid precautions. The grilled chicken sandwich for one of us and the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with tomato basil soup for the other. Each of these I really can NoT recommend highly enough - and how could we not get a cupcake or 2...major chocolate and pumpkin spice - light with a wonderful frosting. Upon arrival our order was ready and in a bag. All workers were in a mask and the bathroom in perfect shape for a quick stop as well . Thank you Yelp! We did a road trip from DC to Nashville, and about 50 miles before Bristol our stomachs starting to growl. Ladybug café came up as the top choice, so we looked on the menu (reasonable and good variety) and called in our order. Everyone behind the counter was cheerful and " covid careful". The restrooms were clean too. Our lunch was delicious! Chicken salad sandwich perfect with grapes in the chicken salad. Tomato bisque was better than Nordstroms cafe which says quite a bit to those who are fans. Did i mention the cupcakes? Chocolate and a pumpkin spice. Take my advice... grab more than you think you'll want because you will regret it later. The restaurant is right off the freeway so will be our "go to" on every trip. read more

Please don't pass on this locally owned 5 star find. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. I had chicken salad (which they are known for) on toasted wheat. It was fresh, homemade and delicious. The apple salad that went with it was wonderful. I wish I had the recipe. My husband had the Friday special which was a warm Italian sandwich. He loved it. The service was quick and attentive. I have been here many times and ordered for office meetings. I'm not sure what has happened with the staff. They use to be friendly. The last few times I have been there they are rude. Could care less if you order, look miserable, and have no customer service. The owner is usually nice, but she was even rude today. Very disheartening. I love the food, but the bad attitudes and angry faces I don't need. In our current economic environment I would want to "fake" being in a nice mood even if I don't feel it. My money will go somewhere else. Don't sigh at customers or look like I just kicked your dog. I would have spent more money today, but you cut me off and didn't want the order. This cafe is a hidden gem right off 81. The owner was so kind to my daughter. We got our cupcake and coffee and were on our way- faster than if we'd headed further down the road to Sbux.
