Highly recommend! So excited to find a new place for private natural hair care. I don't do the big wide open multiple booth salons. Temi is very nice, friendly and gentle. I came for a deep condition and a trim. Her prices are reasonable and she takes her time and handled my hair with care. Her products are natural and she is passionate about natural hair. I will be sending new clients her way. I posted a tip about the location. The GPS took me to walgreens O_o. But if you go to the Shoppers on Baltimore Ave right next door you will see Phenix Salon Suites and she is suite 112 at the end with a purple curtain on the door. :) *Another tip-she takes visa, MasterCard, discover, and Amex. read more

I have been going to Lady Styles for years. Temi is saving my hair from all the abuse and neglect of stylist of a lesser caliber.Temi calendar fills up quickly, so if you are interested in an appointment, be mindful. I am not the most creative when it comes to natural styles, I always let Temi decide something that suits my face and my lifestyle and she never disappoints. I get TONS of compliments and have often shared her information, as well as her instagram page. Her prices are very reasonable. There is always parking available and her Salon is beautiful. Do yourself a favor and visit Lady Styles Hair Design!!! read more

The search continues... So...I tried my first natural hair salon. I really wanted to like this place. Verdict: 10 hours and $180 later...I hated my hair! I shared my concerns with Temi as soon as she handed me the mirror. I agreed to try the look for a couple of days to see if they would grow on me. Unfortunately, they did not. I returned to the salon a couple of days later...Tried to give her an opportunity to make it better. She offered to "redo the crown", but would not be able to work me in until two weeks after my original service. YES, you read that right...2 weeks later! I tried to work out a quicker solution. It took her a week to return my call. When she finally did call, she was unprofessional and defensive and even went back and forth about charging me more to fix my hair. The phone interaction sealed the deal for me. I could never do business with Lady Styles (Temi) again after such an interaction. I removed them after a total of 10 days. Money down the drain! Don't take my word for it...Let the pictures speak for themselves. (FYI...the only other pics on Yelp are from the salon. Now, you get to see how the service REALLY looks. You're welcome!) read more

I have been a customer of Temi's for 3 years now after moving from Atlanta. I was looking for a natural hair stylist who operated just like my stylist from Atl: timely, professional, and knows natural hair. She is all these things and does it with a smile! She also has helped continue to grow my hair which is now at the middle of my back. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a natural hair stylist who wants all of the above then she's the stylist for you:) read more

Called Temi a month in advance to discuss the style I wanted . Followed up with texting her pictures of the style I wanted. She said she'd be able to do it and I selected an online appointment. The day before my appt. I went into the salon to be sure she could work with my hair length. I didn't want to waste money on hair if she wasn't able to do what I wanted, she assured me she'd be able to do it and told me how many packs of hair to purchase. At 3 AM the morning of, she texted me she stayed at the salon too late and would be too tired to do my hair, and that somebody else could do it on Saturday......seriously?????......If I hadn't gone in the day before I wonder if I would've even heard anything from her. They have a big policy about no shows but clearly the same doesn't apply to the stylist . She then explained well it's gonna take me too long to do the style in the picture. Obviously customer service or money ($170) isn't a priority. There are many places that do natural styles that wouldn't turn away business. Don't waste your time or money on a person who lacks respect for their customers. read more

Amazing service and amazing results. I got Havana twists done for a trip to the DR and was nothing but pleased. She washed, blew out, and styled my hair as well as provided the hair. Her prices are reasonable and she was able to grip my hair without hurting my tender scalp. read more

My daughter was serviced by Chantel. She had a 4pm appointment for medium sized box braids she was not done until 1 a.m. The stylist was on time and took no brakes but it's still took 9 hours. The end result is less than satisfactory to say the least. The ends are scraggly and she didn't go through and clip loose hairs. the front braid looks as if it's coming out. While we appreciate the effort we will never be back again. read more

My hair was braided with kinky hair extensions (Marly hair). The owner, Temi, braided it. The hair was braided a couple days ago and is already loose and bulky and quite puffy. I am not certain how much she knows about hair care cause I've only been to her shop once. I do know she didn't do a good job on my hair extension. Money down the drain for me. I called her several times about the type of hair she used for my hair extension. I was totally dissapointed by the poor quality of it. I should have caught on when she said she put it in her hair and took it out two weeks later (her reason was because she needed to wash her hair) Yeah right!! Now I know why the african hair galleries have a high customer retention. They do a great job and take pride in what they do. After several attempts to reach her, she disregarded my phone call. Customer service is not a top priority for her. The ends of the hair are rough to touch and I called for her to remedy the situtation. She didn't call back. Ladies, please do not get that plastic quality Marley Hair put in your head by her. She probably gets it in bulk by a supplier for dirt cheap. Ladies, I am warning you, don't waste your money and please do not get kinky twist hari extensions done by Temi!! Truly dissapointed. read more

Temi truly understands natural hair! It's a plus for me that she and I herald from the mother land so she really understands my unruly African hair! Lol!! Her styles are original, she listens, gives you a style/color that suits you and is meticulous with her work! You're missing out if she's not your hair guru!!! read more

Temi is top notch! I was referred by another "naturalista". I love her professionalism, use of technology to schedule appointments & respecting my time. I have NEVER had a gentler wash demonstrating her knowledge that tightly coiled hair must be treated with care! No excessive heat use and the best color service (Demi) I've had at a reasonable price point. The crowning touch of my experience with Temi is results - healthy, thicker hair in just a few months. My only sadness is that I found her recently, and had to relocate several states away. If you want a sharp, professional on your hair journey, go see Temi. read more

I've been going to Temi since August 2014. Since then, she has become my permanent hair stylist. She is the best at what she does and knows natural hair. She has taken care of my hair and it has grown tremendously. If you want a stylist who's attentive to hair care and beautiful styling, I definately would recommend Temi. Her shop is very private and the athmosphere is warming and sisterly. read more

Temi is amazing with all types of natural hair textures! She is also gentle. My 8 year old daughter loves going to have your hair washed, trimmed, braided, styled, blown out, curled or flat ironed. Going to Temi is always a treat for me. She is easy to talk to, gives me personal attention, gives me the look I want, gives great hair care and lets me know the products I need. A big plus is that she has all the product we need for sale. The long and short of it; Temi is the best!!! read more

I am glad I found Temi's salon. I went there once and will go again. She did not book me and other people at the same time, so she didnt waste my time. I also like the privacy of her salon. Plus the hair was well done! read more

Highly recommended! I went in for a wash and trim. My appointment was 6:30 and she started at 6:30. Very nice and pleasant young lady. I was pretty much in and out. I was a little nervous about getting a trim because I know some beauticians can get scissor happy and you end up with a new haircut instead of a trim, Not Temi. She was very professional, she listened to my concerns and proceeded accordingly. Definitely returning for more services! read more

Temi did a wonderful job on my daughter's braids. She did exactly as I asked at a reasonable price. My daughter is tender headed so the fact that my daughter thought she was gentle is a big plus. I needed an appointment asap so I was referred to Hanna. I wanted feed in cornrows but she gave me Ghana braids. They are cute but a bit more expensive than I planned. She did a good job but she was a bit slow and distracted by the TV and cellphone. Overall I would probably only see Temi. read more

I'm so sorry for this late review but here goes....I went to Temi in November/December. She was extremely friendly, worked well with my timing issues, and did an awesome job! I haven't been back ONLY because I've been straightening my hair but her twist are out of this world. I received so many compliments. I will definitely go back! read more

Five stars for sure! I went to Lady Styles last night for the first time. I am so happy with the results. I got exactly what I wanted -- burgundy coloring for my short natural hair and eyelash extensions. The results were just as I hoped they would be. I have never had lash extensions so was a bit nervous. There was no need to be. The process was smooth and without any pokes in the eye. Temi was absolutely wonderful. She was gentle with my hair and asked me questions to be sure we were on the same page for what I wanted. She's very nice and professional. Her salon area is very cozy; she has good music playing in the background. I enjoyed our conversation. I am definitely going back so she can be the caretaker of my hair. read more

Tiffany did a fantastic job on my crotchet braids. My hair was washed and conditioned prior to styling. The stylists are pleasant and professional. It was a pleasure to finally find a place that cares about their clients and their hair. read more

I've been going to Temi since 2010 and she always does an excellent job. She is not only extremely talented and gentle with hair (my hair is naturally kinky), but also friendly and relatable. Everytime she does my hair, I get compliments left and right. I always enjoy my visits to Temi, and schedule my appointments in my calendar ahead of time because I look forward to the next one. I also think it's a plus that she has natural hair, so she is better equipped to deal with clients' hair due to personal experience! read more

I went to Temi a few times. Her work was...okay, but I found her demeanor to be completely unprofessional. I personally do not care to be have backstreet products shoved in my face during my appointment, or to hear about my stylist's personal issues--especially when I'm stuck in a tiny room for three hours. And don't expect to get a response in time for a follow up appointment. She doesn't respond to texts when you need her to. Overall, too much attitude for me. I'll stick to the other five customer-friendly salons in the area. read more
