When I used to buy beauty store weave, I always went there. I loved the Saga Remy 16 and 18 inches with a frontal. The price with 10% discount was unbeatable. Once I drove from downtown Baltimore to Seat Pleasant wigs to buy my hair for a weave appointment. Owner was always nice to me. She appreciated repeat customer.

If we're being honest, good help and good hair is hard to find!…read more Enter Happy Tresses, where I found beautiful hair and an amazing stylist, Charisma, who also happens to be the owner. Charisma has the sweetest spirit, she listens to what you want, is extremely knowledgeable about hair, and I can't say enough about how fair the pricing is. You will be hard-pressed to get a sew-in for under $350 in the DC area, but you can tell Happy Tresses is mindful of the working woman's price-point and standard of quality. I should also add Charisma did the best cornrows I've EVER had in record time. My sew-in laid so flat, the style still looks brand new 5 weeks later--I honestly don't want to take it out, but I digress. I haven't tried the bundles yet (because I already had hair before I made the appointment), but the Brazilian Island Wave and Indian Steamed Curl are right up my alley and next on my list. She also makes some gorgeous/stylish wigs and I think I'm going to have to break down and buy one. Waldorf is a bit of a hike for many, but it has been absolutely worth it. I have a natural hairstylist already but Charisma definitely gained a loyal client for all my weaving needs. Thank you!

When I got to the suite, she was super nice and we talked the entire time. She's very professional and knowledgeable of the sew in process. I got a wash and a basic side part install. My bundles were still a little wet, so she set them under the dryer without a problem! I loved my hair afterwards and got so many compliments about my hair! I will definitely make another appointment and refer her to others!

One thing that was different was the way the weave was installed. She put the closure on 1st which was weird to me considering you don't necessairly know how the rest of the weave will lay. Yesterday, while shopping in this store with my daughter I felt profiled. It was Sunday, so maybe it was the leggings and shirt that led the person who watched me and my daughter so closely to think that I should be watched...it was an uncomfortable experience. I only purchased a few items because I was in a time crunch but I wont be back. I have no need to spend my money at places where I am not treated fairly or where I am perceived as a "person to watch". I would avoid shopping here if you are a person of color there are plenty of other options. I will shop at another beauty supply store that does not perceive me as a problem customer. It was such a odd experience because the cashiers are people of color but perhaps the owners or other store employees still profile......

The reason for the 3 stars is because of the faded blue hair black girl...the person assisting me…read morewas very nice, courteous and professional. I believe her name is Depika. Excellent customer service. The black young child with the faded blue hair and baby hair not correctly done was rude, nasty, unprofessional and should not be working there. The issue was the prices, they were not matching what was on the shelf. The black blue hair girl took the products to check the price and I proved they were incorrect. This chick told me " the price is staying the same and you don't have to buy it". I was confused and said nothing. At the counter Depika took the products and I showed her as well, she took the prices to the register and the bar codes weren't matching the product. The blue haired girl interjected " don't buy it then, we not changing the price" I ignored once again. Depika gave me the price listed and Miss blue hair once again interjected " wow a whole dollar" I responded " not your money and it's actually a dollar fifty and tax" she responded " whatever, I ain't gonna argue with you" me - that's your best bet and upon leaving stated she needed to be fired. I could not believe her attitude. Not a good look for the store and shoppers should not be attacked verbally like that.

I stumbled on this place mid shutdown, when businesses were allowed to reopened they did so in a limited capacity. This Beauty supply store is in a shopping center with a grocery store and a dollar tree, soooooo yea...those were the only places open for a while and happened to see it. The first time I went in, I hadn't been to the beauty supply in over 6 months, my hair wanted something new besides the WATER routine I was giving it and I wasn't totally ready for an appointment at the salon...so anyway. As I was looking for some products I stubbled upon a table in the back that had wigs on clearance. Lace Fronts, short ones, long ones, pony tails....anything you could think of in a variety of colors. I bought a couple wigs....felt VERY good about that. I've used them for the "BAD HAIR DAYS" and the good ones just depends on how I feel. Well...as things started to open back up, I've returned to some of my regular spots, but I haven't come across another local beauty supply with such an amazing selection of wigs for EVERY budget. I couldn't remember where I was when I got them the first time, I drove all around my local area until one day.....I WENT TO THE DOLLAR STORE AND THERE IS WAS!!!!!!! i was sooooo excited....I went in and bought up more inexpensive wigs. The customer service has never been disappointing, everyone is nice to me, they help me, they make suggestions and I get a GREAT discount because I have a problem and spend enough money each time to get 25% off the next time. I like it in there....and I like the prices of most of their items. Sooo whenever I get a wig itch...I will be going to Beauty Zone.
