    Training with Kacy is easily one of the best decisions of my life!…read more Coming out of quarantine, I had very unhealthy eating/drinking habits and a very sedentary lifestyle. During just the first two months with him, I had a high body fat percentage for my body. I quickly lost around 10 pounds. I started at 157 and now I'm at around 147.. and still losing! I gained definition in my arms and my thighs. When I came in to see Kacy, my goals were focused on learning weight lifting, especially proper form to avoid injury, and gaining confidence in a gym. One of my favorite parts of training is the trust and independence he has for his clients. He watches your form, but he doesn't hover over you unnecessarily and provides you a chance to breathe. The amount of strength that I've gained over the last few months have been immense. I started just squatting with the barbell (45 pounds) and I have now increased to 115 pounds. I could also barely lift a 5 lb dumbbell when I started, but I've increased to 22.5 lbs. I've also never been able to sustain a manageable diet, but Kacy made the plan easy to follow and stick to. Before coming with kacy I was overwhelmed with the thought of going to the gym on my own and not doing the right exercises or having the right form to achieve the results I want so I just didn't go at all. I was at 166lbs with a high body fat percentage when I first started. I lost 6lbs within my first 2 weeks of training with him and continued to lose weight. I am now down 16lbs with a significant loss in body fat and gain in muscle. All the workouts I've had with him are always so well put together and really kick my butt but definitely help me feel so much stronger. Kacy is also really nice and takes the time to get to know his clients which makes coming to the gym a lot more enjoyable. In the beginning I was struggling and scared to squat just 65lbs but with the help & encouragement of kacy I'm now squatting 215lbs! I am so grateful to kacy as I really didn't think it would be possible for me to be doing what he has me doing at the gym. I can't say enough good things about training with him!     Well, this review is about 4 years late but some things are better late than ever, right?…read more I first reached out to JP in 2016. At the time, I was going to the gym, following random workouts on social media, and eating to my hearts content. I had very little knowledge regarding training, body composition, and nutrition. After a few months of working with JP, I started to not only gain momentum with my training but also began to see drastic changes to my body. I was so convinced and confident of my progress that I decided to take it to the next level, and compete in NPC as a figure competitor. In April of 2017, I competed in my first NPC show and placed 1st in women's figure. JP's guidance helped me overcome some of my deepest insecurities. In addition to all the things a personal trainer is expected to teach you, weight training, cardio regimen, and nutrition. JP also indirectly helped me with my confidence, mental clarity, advanced methods to training and nutrition, how my body responds to different types of foods, and the list goes on. These photos speak for themselves. The success and results I achieved with the guidance of JP are beyond exceptional. Although these achievements are great, what I cherish the most is the knowledge I gained from working with JP. JP is very different than many other trainers that I talked to who try to say many good things about training and attempt to get you in. The first thing I was told is "It is going to be tough, and it is all about you. Are you sure you want to do this?" I knew I was at the right place the moment I heard this because JP does not sugarcoat the challenges that I will face to get my business but serious about training me and helping me to reach my goal. The journey is challenging but fun. JP is dedicated and knowledgeable. He always tries to push you to a limit while paying great attention to the form and your reaction to make sure you do not get hurt. Trough out the time that I train with him, my body does fill sore but not pain. He also designs the session to train different muscle groups in a different way and different date so the muscles have enough time to recover. Besides training knowledge, he is also a very positive person who always shows his passion for helping others to be better. To me, JP is more than just a trainer but friend. I am glad that I met him and will keep up my journey with him.

Gus and his team are very attentive, but also fun and energetic at the same time. Whether it's Liz or Ricardo at the front desk helping you, everyone seems to care! Their equipment is also top-notch, especially the free weights--they use some of the best brands in the industry. Because of the high-end equipment, you'll notice that the membership fees are on the higher side. ​The Cons (Hygiene & Maintenance): Despite the nice gear, the facility is extremely dirty and feels like it's never been cleaned. The handles on the treadmills and ellipticals are often sticky, and there is a thick layer of dust underneath the machines. It's gross! If you've ever been to the Planet Fitness in Diamond Bar, you'll realize just how dirty Curl actually is. ​The most shocking thing I've witnessed is the cleaning process. The cleaning lady uses the same brush to scrub the inside of the toilet bowl and then the toilet seat. Seeing her scrub the bowl and then immediately wipe the seat with the same tool is horrifying! To be clear, she works very hard and I'm not blaming her personally--management simply hasn't provided her with the proper tools or training. Additionally, there is a light in the shower area that has been out forever and never gets repaired. ​Atmosphere & Service: Another bizarre thing is that they don't turn on the AC during the winter. It gets incredibly hot inside. Perhaps that's better for the elderly members, but it's uncomfortable for a real workout. Furthermore, the front desk staff is completely indifferent; when you walk in, they treat you like you're invisible. ​Bottom Line: I only kept this membership because my child has an enrichment class nearby, and it's a convenient place to wait. If my kid weren't taking classes in this area, I definitely wouldn't keep this membership.
