I highly recommend these classes for anyone who is looking for a different and fun way to challenge your body. The girls who work there are really nice and encouraging. Also, the girls that attend the classes are fun to be around and will cheer each other on in classes. From the moment I walked in, I felt relaxed. It honestly felt more like walking into a spa than a fitness studio. Everything was spotless, smelled amazing, and had a very welcoming feel. Since it was my first Lagree class, I was definitely a little nervous. I had heard how challenging Lagree can be and wasn't sure what to expect. Thankfully, the instructors were wonderful. They were patient, encouraging, and took the time to help me with my positioning and form throughout class. I never felt intimidated or out of place, which made a huge difference as a beginner. The workout itself was tough, but in a good way. I left feeling challenged, accomplished, and already thinking about coming back for another class. Another thing I really appreciated was the parking. There is plenty of free parking, which makes getting to class easy and stress free. Lagree & Co. has such a positive and welcoming atmosphere. If you're interested in the art of pole and have zero experience this is the place to start (: I…read morewas lucky enough to have started at Siren back when they opened in 2022, where my first class was with none other than Josh - the owner of this great establishment. It was an intro to pole class where we started out with a great warm up sesh that introduced us into holding the pole to stretch out our sides into a banana shape. We also did a good amount of yoga stretches on our mats and conditioning on the pole to prevent injury as pole can be strenuous on your body. When it came down to the pole moves, Josh was precise and steady when explaining the moves to our class. I appreciated how he was more than happy to demonstrate again when one of us asked and he went one-by-one to see how we recreated the move taught along with encouragement and feedback. This is a running theme with all the instructors at Siren as 6 poles in the studio makes it easier to focus on individuals in a smaller class. I remember not being able to hang from the pole with solely my arms, I felt discouraged for a sec but Josh looked at me and said its okay and all I need to do is to keep reinforcing this movement with consistency. The way he said that to me felt like I really could do it if i keep trying, so I did! I kept coming back to Siren Pole Dance and met many more great instructors that each have great tips and ways of educating people about pole. Not to mention the great community this studio has built with their members! I moved away from Covina where Siren was just a few minutes away, but I am always happy to come back to this studio along with their sister studio (Siren Aerial Fitness) whenever I get the chance. The studios keep their community engaged by holding local markets, pole parties, and special class workshops all announced on their socials. Again, if you have a feeling you want to give Pole a try, this is a wonderful place to start. Years into a corporate job made me feel stiff, but after these classes I felt fresh and more mobile!
