My daughter wanted a Beanie Boo themed party and the hostesses dressed up wearing cute animal masks. I think the masks made it hard for them to see because they often did not have them over their eyes, instead they placed them in their foreheads. But the hostesses were very nice, good with kids, and polite. The decor was perfect, they had face painting, games, music, it was clean, comfortable, and I could not ask for more. Lavishly Posh does all of the work, even the invitations, which turn out looking really cute. They also take lots of pictures & put them in a disc for your keepsake. All that I had to do is bring the food & cake and they set it up with warm catering trays even. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who needs help organizing a party. You won't be disappointed.

The communication we had prior to the day of the event, to assisting in setting up items (balloons & banners) was vital to the decoration of the party. So many compliments were made about the location (Summer House), that I was able to refer two of my coworkers to have their kids graduation party at this establishment. This is truly a beautiful place to visit! My first experience was years ago when my photographer…read morerecommended it for family pictures. I immediately fell in love with the Spanish moss hanging from the trees and definitely wanted to capture that "southern" look. Also, there are places off the beaten path near little waterfalls and rushing water for more picture opportunities. Since then, I've returned with my family and friends for a relaxing stroll in nature. I enjoy the paths, especially for my young daughter. They have so much to offer: kayak rentals, bicycle rentals, a cooling off area for both humans and pets, bike repair station, a playground, etc. I appreciate that they have clean restrooms available as well as trash cans, and doggy doo receptacles. There's a lot to explore and a lot of history, I highly recommend it!

This event…read morespace is located in the Goodwill Plaza next to Edgar's Grille, Hire Grounds and of course the Goodwill Store. It has been one of the top places to host events since they opened. One of the attractions is the culinary school and many of the students preparing the dishes. I visited for a launch event and the food that was available was great. The space is also very open and colorful. The venue provides large windows near the entrance, which provides great light for the venue. Additionally, the space is outfitted with electronic signage and awesome audiovisual equipment for presentations. I'd recommend anyone using it. I enjoyed my time and look forward to attend or hosting events at the Snelling Center.

I passed through this hotel after a cross-country trip trying to make it to Hilton Head. I was…read moregetting tired and sore so I pulled over a few hours out from the hotel, pulled up my Marriott Bonvoy App (I'm platinum) and found them online. I actually called the front desk to advise them that I was making a late reservation but was fully intending to come. At NO time did she indicate they were under construction. I arrived at about 0200 and found that the entire lobby was a construction zone. Significantly, I am handicap. They were in the middle of renovating and it was litterally treacherous. I spoke to the front desk clerk (really the night auditor) and she offered to cancel my reservation so I could go elsewhere but I was a ZOMBIE and she assured me the floor in which she was assigning me (3rd floor) was newly renovated. I took the room. The floor/room was fine. The air quality and rest of the hotel was a construction nightmare. Dust, dangerous walking paths and by the time I woke up, I was having a hard time breathing and need to use my inhaler for the first time in almost 1 year. I am NOT a Karen. I used Marriott Bonvoy points (19k if I recall correctly) and was very disappointed with my stay. I wrote in to ask for a replenishment of my points at Bonvoy Customer Service and fully expected to be replenished. Shockingly, the hotel's response was that I was advised of the construction and basically flipped me the bird with a Caveat Emptor and refused to return my points. Suffice to say, I was pissed. I escalated the issue with Marriott Bonvoy and as one would expect from an awards program like Marriott, they immediately replenished my points. In the meantime, beware of this property. It is a franchise location and the owners seemingly lack the commitment to excellence and top customer service one usually associates with Marriott properties. Everyone I encountered while I was on property was kind, professional and highly apologetic. They had apparently been forced to master that behavior. Now that construction is done, I wanted to share this story and make sure that my Bonvoy colleagues realize that leopards never change there spots and that, if requiring accomodations in the Augusta airport area, give careful consideration about choosing another Marriott property.
