I decided to check this community park out this morning while I was in Augusta, GA to get in some exercise. This was a very clean and well maintained park. It has plenty of parking and they can accommodate small and large vehicles. They have a large fenced in dog park and a gazebo for the pet owners to get out of the sun. Around the park is 3 paths for those that wish to walk ir run. There was also a male and female bathroom as well. Oyeah, and did I forget to mention that they have a playground for the kids!!! This was an excellent find and I'm sure that we will return the next time in town!!! read more

An urban park with tightly cut grass and a playground which plays host to periodic events. Much of the local places of consequence are walkable from the park, and parking is free. It isn't an amazing source of nature, but it's nice to have something like this to build a small urban area around. read more

We are in town for the Masters. Had a free day and it was recommended to try the playground out here. Lady Antebellum (the country group) helped with the creation of this area. Huge green space, pavilion, dog park, and playground. It was very nice and well taken care of. It was a nice addition to see Kona Ice truck and ice cream truck parked there. Also the sweetest lady was making balloon animals. Next time I think I'll pack a picnic to go along with our trip here. Highly recommend if you are looking for something to do! read more

Went here for Thunder over evans and absolutely loved it! The concert was absolutely amazing, and the fireworks show was definitely better than anything I'd ever seen. They really were not lying when they said it would be the biggest fireworks show in the south. The park is large enough to accommodate everyone, well maintained, and I definitely think the event is one everyone should see. read more

The Park is amazing. The Slides are probably 20ft or even 30ft high! Amazing if your kids are ready for thrills. "The Augusta theme park" although kids are rough. I was upset because Kids were hogging the slides. Also, I had to wait 45+ minutes for the now gone tire swing, I was sobbing, and it was so bad that my dad had to come and check it out for himself. :(. But at least the slides and swings are fun. One of the swings has a shoulder harness and I pretend to be on a roller coaster! Fun Sets but crazy kids. (Don't worry, my mom takes me) read more

This park is on the other side of town for me but I drive the extra to bring my doggy here because the dog park is nice and most people who bring their dogs here are fairly responsible and make sure the dogs don't get too rowdy. The park is well kept and the playground equipment looks well maintained. They also have a splash pad and walking/exercise walking trails. There are plenty of events at this park and it draws a crowd, but they are usually handled professionally by those hosting it. Great park to bring your kids and dogs or just for a quick run. Food places just across the street so eat afterwards or eat then walk it off like I do! read more

This place is very beautiful! The grass is well kept an they have a nice side walk trail for people to walk around. The park for the kids is nice with shade and benches and they have a dog park, a stage area, a lot of space to play on the grass! Maybe some frisbee, soccer, football, catch, baseball and a gazebo with a beautiful water fountain. read more

I love seeing a community invest in public spaces. This place has it all; dog park, walking path, pavilions for picnics, amphitheater, a water park for kids, and a massive but safe playground area. You will find a farmer's market here on Thursday evenings, movies on the weekends, concerts, and come November ice skating. It is an amazing resource and much needed. read more

During the picnic I enjoyed at this park on a sunny day during the week, the shaded tables were clean. Trashes were available and not overflowing. There was a large playground. I noticed the stage for music events. It was easy to park. read more

This park has it's good and bad days. I'm grateful for the dog park and the bike rentals but the jogging path is limited and the place is littered with junk from picnics. That may be the collective fault of the patrons here but overall it's not as nice as it could be. If you're trying to see a special event here- good luck as all the regular limited parking here is reserved for "VIP only." No one enforces the lots here so who knows who actually parks in there. The regular folk need to park in the grass at their own risk and pay money to enjoy subpar music and fast good served in tents. I'd rather make the drive to Augusta and sit by the river for some real fun and atmosphere than have little kids put their cherry snowcone stained hands on my white dog any day. 50/2014 read more

We attended the Venardo's Circus on Wednesday evening which was opening night for them here and the first time they had been in our region. What a stellar experience! It was magic! A small group of about 15 total real circus and performance professionals that do the setup of the tent to the ticket taking and working the concessions booth during intermission and breakdown and clean up of everything afterwards and during it all they put on one hell of a show. Multi-national, family acts (even some multigenerational), totally family friendly experience with a lot of crowd interaction, a wonderful red and white big top tent that is the perfect size and every single seat inside is a great view. It is such a great circus! There is even an old school flea circus act. This is nostalgia and incredible performance all in one. It is an experience I will hold dear forever and a little bit of dreamy magic that I for one hope to have more of for years to come. Keep the dream alive, invite some whimsy and fun into your life, and go visit this incredible circus. read more

Very large park. It's setup well. Very crowded. Surprised at the young adult males who get on the playground equipment acting like kids. I watched to see if they dominated equipment over the kids. That didn't happen but it was just weird for me. I do suggest that parents closely watch their kids at play. There's a very large sign with the same message at the front entrance posted. Not everyone sees it if you come in the other three entrance points. read more

This place is going downhill fast, and it's pretty much the fault of 20/30-something parents. Yep, I'm saying it. Why are you people not teaching your kids to pick up their trash? The amount of litter surrounding the playground is truly astounding. Discarded food, straws, plastic bits, candy wrappers, chips bags, and broken toys are strewn all across the path and grass. It's disgusting. I had to pull a huge wad of some brat's bubblegum out of my dog's mouth. And while we're talking about your dumb kids, why aren't you teaching them not to run people over on their bikes? Or run up to strangers' dogs without asking? Or throw balls at adults? This brand new park sucks, and that's a shame. By the way, trying to contact the park department about any problems is an exercise in futility. Also a shame. read more

Evans Towne Center Park is probably the best park in the CSRA. Yep, I said it. I recently visited for an event that my church was hosting. They actually rented the entire park, but welcomed the public for the event called Unityfest. The park is so large and spacious and fit our large congregation perfectly. This seems like the place to hangout if you are a parent or a dog owner on Saturdays. I saw a lot of children, families and dogs. This park easily accommodates all. They have a splash pad for kids, but I'm sure pets can enjoy it as well. They have a large gazebo with ceiling fans, which is perfect for a party or just escaping the sunrays. The park has a large playground area, paved walking paths, benches and green space. They also have large pavilion for live entertainment. It's the Lady Antebellum Pavilion, which hosts lots of concerts throughout the year. The parking is easy and additional parking is available across the street. They have decent size restrooms, with enough stalls. I can't complain. While I wouldn't hang out here outside of an event, it seems perfect for people with families. I was unsure exactly where this park was. I'm not in this part of town much so I had no idea it was a straight shot down Washington Rd. I thought it was somewhere near Grovetown. It was fairly easy to get to. I didn't actually get to check out much of the park just the pavilion and parking lot. I'm assuming this parking lot is for when they have events inside the park and at the pavilion. There were a few things that did bother me about the park itself. This park is really huge though and should have a better parking lot. The parking lot was one issue. If this was the parking lot to hold all the guests visiting the park why wouldn't it be paved. It was covered in that ol' Georgia Red clay!!!! Hard to get out of clothing and anything it touches. It rained at the event I attended so it turned into mud getting all over my feet and inside of my car. People where getting stuck in the mud and the park attendants were helping people get their cars out of it. I also hate that at the event you weren't allowed to bring in outside food and coolers. I had to trash a $3 lemonade I had just bought! I was highly upset because it was extremely hot out that day. I did see a playground for children and a restroom but many people were complaining how hot it was in the restroom. I thought it was great that the park attendants were driving people to their cars from the park and helping them get out of the mud. I will definitely come back to check out the park when there is nothing going on and give an update to my review. But for now this is about all the park gets!!!! read more

Great place to go and picnic, let the kids play, walk or jog the track around the lake. There are tons of things to do. There is a small sprayground for the kids when it gets too hot. The stepped amphitheater is a great place for a small show like Shakespeare in the park or movie nights. The Library is just next door so you can grab a book in there and enjoy it under the sun. read more

I love the Evans Towne Center Park, and I don't think you can ask for much more from a public park. They have a huge playground area with rubber turf, all gated in so you can let the kids play free. There's a large pavilion to get some shade when you need it, a restroom that has been kept clean on each of my visits, a water/splash area for the kids on hot days, a solid trail for walking/riding with the family, a dog park (admittedly never used it - not a dog park person), and a ton of green space. I saw some complaints about trash, but that's only been an issue on days where events are being held in my experience - too many folks just can't seem to be bothered with picking up their own trash these days. I really like this place. It has something for everyone. A playground for the kids, a small track for the runners, a big center field for sports, and a dog park. I take my puppy to the park about 3-4x weekly and he loves it. They have both a 25 and under section and a part for big dogs. My puppy is 13 pounds and he often goes into the part for the big dogs and loves it. I will say I've noticed some fleas on him that he's never had before since I've been taking him so it would be nice for them to treat the grass. Irregardless we will be back! read more

This place is nice to tale the kids to because of the large childrens area. However I am concerned that there is no easy way for parents to notify officials of discrepancies or safety concerns, like loose bolts/screws on childrens play park. read more
