There are benches along the way and plenty of benches at the lake with a long deck. There were people fishing there when we visited. Definitely come take a stroll. It's gorgeous.

It's not all flat either, there are some parts that are going up and down in the trees, a few trees you have to climb under or over on the trail. Part of it is covered, but part of us is very open and near a construction area. However, the falls are beautiful. And since it is such a trek, it's not super crowded. If you don't mind the hike and want a nice little spot to cool off and jump off a rock, I would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful, rolling green hills and lots of trees. Can't wait to see what it looks like once the leaves have begun to change color for Fall. Lots of families were there to visit and enjoy a walk or picnic, and there are walking/hiking trails to explore as well. After being kicked about 50 times from people going up and down the bleachers I was done. Not to mention the amount of REALLY young kids walking back and forth. I have 3 kids of my own and I get they get board but when they are up and down the bleachers multiple times in an hour and I am getting kicked in the back (they are young, not babies) i am not happy. We also paid over $50 for our tickets combined. I was so frustrated I just left. You shouldn't have to tell grown people to watch their kids, but apparently you really should. It wasn't necessarily the park or the event that ruined it but the people that let their kids run wild. I never comment on kids but these were not babies, these were 10 plus that were constantly up and down the cheap bleachers and were totally distracting and also blocking the view. They did ask people that were standing in front to sit down at one point but that didn't help. Simple reminders throughout might help. I won't be going back anytime soon.

(The advanced uphill rugged terrain trails are comparable to Blankets Creek mountain bike trails also in Canton- only it's more desolate there so it can feel creepy if you're by yourself- you start to imagine bears and coyotes & snakes.) The good thing is there are always people around so it's safe park. There's tons of parking being its right next to the high school and on weekends there are always soccer teams playing or people going for a walk.

The trail is well-maintained, clean, and wide enough for cyclists, walkers, and runners to comfortably share the path - in most areas. One of my favorite things about this trail is that much of it is shaded, making for a really enjoyable ride. The park has massave MTB & hiking trails as well. Plus restrooms and pleanty of free parking. The trail system is larger than I expected. There are several connecting paths that was listed as color coded according to the level. I found myself taking a different route than I planned and accidentally made a few complete loops before realizing I had connected to another trail! I completed around 23 miles - easy ride. I'd consider this a great beginner-friendly trail. Most of the ride is relatively flat with only one or two moderate inclines that got me a lil winded. Otherwise, it's an easy, low-impact ride that's perfect for enjoying the scenery. Since the trail winds through neighborhoods, I saw a nice mix of families, casual riders, walkers, runners. Everyone seemed to have plenty of room to enjoy the trail. This is definitely a trail I'll be riding again. A great place for riders of all skill levels. If you're looking for a scenic, peaceful ride that's easy to access and enjoyable for the whole family, Big Creek Greenway is absolutely worth checking out.

Although it was pretty crowded on a Monday evening, the walk was very peaceful among trees with lots of shade. Great for walking your dogs, biking, jogging or simply a quiet evening walk. The creek that crosses the trail offers a refreshing break in between walks. With all the below-mentioned amenities, this is one of the best trailheads that I've been to so far in Georgia. It also offers two full sized basketball courts, officials meeting room, cardio/fitness zone, multiple classrooms and a dance studio. I love going here as there are just so many things to do. It is well maintained, mostly shaded for hot days, and an easy course. Parking can require some patience during weekend mornings. It is heavily trafficked on the weekends. The people here are really nice and supportive. Plenty of cyclists but they are mindful of pedestrians. Just make sure to always look back before you pass another runner/walker, at a junction, or towards a bridge. The workers are courteous and friendly. Others seem to really like this place as well since I've been seeing the same people for years. It's probably a good place to make friends, if that's what you're looking for. The only reason I took a star off is because there appears to only be one place to get water- at Big Creek Park in Roswell. Before covid, you could also use the water fountains at Rock Mill Park, but they have since then been shut down. They should really restore water there- very helpful for runners/cyclists.
