Just make sure to always look back before you pass another runner/walker, at a junction, or towards a bridge. The workers are courteous and friendly. Others seem to really like this place as well since I've been seeing the same people for years. It's probably a good place to make friends, if that's what you're looking for. The only reason I took a star off is because there appears to only be one place to get water- at Big Creek Park in Roswell. Before covid, you could also use the water fountains at Rock Mill Park, but they have since then been shut down. They should really restore water there- very helpful for runners/cyclists.

From there, you have to walk around the lake, then through the recreation center to the "almost other side" of the park to get to the playground. You can drive south the the entrance and park along the street or one of the small parking lots much closer to the playground. That said, the space is great! It is large and spread out. There is a covered pavilion and lots of other seating in the form of benches. There are 4 distinct areas, with swings in multiple areas. They usually hold a crochet get together once a month and found this small park. While I was exploring the place, I got to meet Trish who was there attending to the garden at the time. She had told us about the history of when the family was living on the property dated back in 1880s. Their daughter, Peggy Miles had wanted the property to be well maintained after her passing. She was a histologist but, was never married nor had any children while living alone. Thus, the Friends of Lost Corner was formed and raised about $900k in 2018. The property was then sold to the city after her passing and have been well maintained ever since to preserve the nature in the area. I particularly enjoyed walking on the small trail in the backyard that loops around for about 1 mile in total. Due to the overgrown trees in the area, the trails were well shaded. There's a couple of small bridges when you explore the trails branching off the little loop. I was told that the different flowers will bloom at different times around this time of year. I'm looking forward to visit during the blooming of Trillium flowers. They come in a variety of colors and looking forward to the delight of their bloom. This place is well preserved and very private. Almost like a hidden gem in the heart of Sandy Springs. I was there on a Saturday evening at around 4:30pm. It wasn't crowded as I hoped. Even though there was a baby shower event held at the house. There's a male and female bathrooms located on the right side of the house so, the public doesn't interfere with any events being held inside. I'd recommend exploring this mini park if you're in the area. Name of place is called Lost Corner Preserve.

It was beautiful! Stroller-friendly! The path was pretty shaded in the beginning, but you definitely need sunscreen for the latter part! We fed our babies under the covered pavilion. Plenty of picnic tables and trash cans. I can't wait to go back!
