Jamie did a wonderful job of coordinating my daughters rehearsal dinner and wedding this weekend,…read morealong with a full service team for food service, bar service and event set up. Food was fresh, delicious and portions were generous. With plans for an outdoor wedding, this venue is prepared for any weather and can quickly prepare for last minute changes. We opted for the outdoor tent. This area has a beautiful backdrop of the lake and vineyard with great lighting in the tent and nearby walking areas. Food and drink is served indoors with plenty of processional space. There is also a separate terrace below the tent for cocktail hour or special gatherings. I would definitely recommend this venue for your special event.

I've visited many times over the years and have even hosted a few celebrations here. The winery continues to evolve, and it impresses me every time I return. The food alone is worth the drive. I ordered the wood-fired sausage pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. I would put it up against pizza from any restaurant in St. Louis or on The Hill. The cheese blend was perfect, and the thin crust made it satisfying without feeling too heavy on a warm day. I highly recommend it. There was also a great live music duo playing, along with several special events that added to the festive atmosphere. I saw birthday celebrations, including a 70th birthday party at the Lakeside Pavilion, as well as a bridal shower and a wedding reception. Even with so much happening, the staff was friendly and attentive, and I didn't have a long wait for my food. There are plenty of unique spaces within the property. Some are for private events, but there was plenty of room open to the public so you could be right in the middle of the action or you could find a little peaceful corner by the grapevines. Villa Antonio is such a lovely place to spend an afternoon. It is well worth the short 35 minute drive from Webster Groves.

First visit to La Chance winery, such a nice place, rustic and so pretty…read more We had made reservations for four tables as we had 25 ladies celebrating a bride to be. We got there before opening at 11:00, the staff was still busy setting up but let us stand near the restrooms till they opened. We got settled in the new pavilion, it was a large room with a bar, a stage for the musical guests, and lots of tables of various sizes. There is a room at the entrance for wine tasting but for everything else you can order there or the bar in the pavilion. I waited for a bit to go for the tasting to let the rush die down. There were still a few people waiting for coffee and we were chatting and when I went to place my order for the wine tasting the bartender commented that she had just put everything away. Hmm, if it weren't for that I would have given 5 stars but that made me feel like I was a bother but that was literally her job. I didn't do any more tastings and did the rest of my orders at the outside bar. The rest of the day was wonderful, the sun came out but the day kept cool. We moved inside and outside, Two Pedro's played and we watched couple's dance. Tried the three flavors of Sangria; white peach, strawberry, and autumn. My favorite was the autumn with its cinnamon apple spice. It was a very peaceful place, laid back but efficient

In my opinion, it's hands down the best winery in the region, and what makes it special goes well beyond the wine. The experience starts with a tasting, and Stone Hill does it right. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, the tastings are top notch, and the wines speak for themselves. Their sparkling wines, Norton, and Chardonel are among my absolute favorites. The grounds are beautiful, with incredible photo opportunities around every corner. And if you're lucky enough to visit during an event, the live music is some of the best you'll find in Hermann. But one of my favorite experiences at Stone Hill takes you beneath the winery. The guided tours of the historic cellars are truly something special. There's so much history in those underground passages, and the guides are experts at bringing it all to life. It's an experience unlike anything else in the area. The nearby museum is another must-see and adds even more appreciation for the history behind this remarkable place. And then there's dinner. A visit to Stone Hill simply isn't complete without a meal at Vintage 1847 Restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is phenomenal, and the steak is easily my favorite in Hermann. It's the perfect way to end a day of exploring. In fact, I've pretty much figured out my perfect Hermann itinerary. Start with a wine tasting, spend some time exploring the museum, take a guided tour through those incredible cellars, and finish the evening with an unforgettable dinner at Vintage 1847. Throw in some live music and a few great photos along the way, and it doesn't get much better than that. Hermann is full of wonderful experiences, and you could easily spend days discovering everything the town has to offer. But if there's one place I would tell absolutely everyone to visit, it's Stone Hill Winery. There are plenty of reasons to visit Hermann. Stone Hill is one of the biggest reasons to keep coming back.

Jill was over my wine tasting, she was friendly and knowledgeable of the wines I chose. I purchased a gold Moscato. This was not in the wine tasting but you can't go wrong with a Moscato in my opinion. During Harvest season you can stomp the grapes with your feet. I hate I missed that but I will definitely return next yr to partake in that excursion. Plenty of picturesque moments. I absolutely enjoyed this winery and look forward to returning.

It's the perfect sized winery. It's not a huge place where you most likely won't be remembered. It's not small like some of the wineries where hours are so limited that they'll be closed when you want to come by. Sand Creek Vineyard has the service of a small winery but the selection of a larger one. Yes, there is a good selection of wines, so my white dry companion had what she liked, and I was able to have a glass of something sweeter. We even saved a bottle for a craft. We don't do that for just any winery. The service was great. The owner (or possibly the winemaker) did a great job with the tasting and conversed with us, but not much after the tasting, as he had other customers and let us enjoy our post-holiday afternoon. It was a pleasure to spend an hour at Sand Creek, and I will be back.

Only downside was that the band playing was a bit loud, hide to kind of hide away. I can't wait to return when they are able to do tastings again, though - maybe at an off time when there isn't a band playing and less crowded. During pandemic time, they are keeping the indoors closed, having folks order at the door - wine by the bottle only plus the wine-a-ritas. We got a bottle of the blackberry and it was great.
