Four Brothers Mead is worth the drive if you are in St Louis. These guys are passionate about their mead and if you have never had mead...they will forever be your mead standard. No preservatives, artifice flavors. Honey water yeast. If flavored, they have just add simple ingredients. Maple from Vermont, orange peals, etc. Find your inner Viking, and get to meading. And they sponsor two Viking fests a year. The owners are also US Veterans, hence the name Four Brothers Mead. Dan is usually there and he is genuinely one of the nicest people I have met. Everyone is great. Too bad I didn't know them when they came up with. It could have been four brothers and a distant ugly cousin Mead. Nevermind, doesn't have the same ring to it.

This is a really unique place. If you haven't had mead, you've got to try it. Mead is developed from Honey, Sugar and Water and infused with other spices or fruits. My favorite was the Blackberry and Maple infused mead. Good stuff. The Four Brothers have a well written description of their brotherhood from serving in the Armed Forces of the United States that makes me want to support them further. One of the unique things I liked was the collection of replica weapons on the walls in the bar....they had spears, swords and other weapon decorations. Four Brother's location is in downtown Festus and has plenty of seating both indoor or outdoor. With the warmer weather this will be a fun place to gather with friends. A nice addition would be some munchies or food to go with the mead and to increase mead consumption and individual average transactions.

Really cool atmosphere and some kick-butt wines. The alcohol content in them is pretty high- so drink accordingly . Super-friendly staff too. Would definitely recommend!!

Love this place! Great atmosphere and welcoming friendly staff! Slushies and mead cocktails are the best! Also the Vikings Festival is an all out experience itself!!!

Every place we stopped in town asked if we had been to Four Brothers Mead yet? Four days later we stopped in and had a flight of 6 different meads. Definitely now a fan of Mead and more importantly Four Brothers Mead in Festus, MO!

This was my husband and I's first time here and it Did not disappoint!!! Walking in we were greeted by Felicia and Coral behind the bar. They were very sweet and very welcoming.. the place was beautiful... from the decor to the beautiful bar top with lights... great patio!! Felicia and Coral described each mead that was on the menu and we decided to each get a flight of mead which was 6 meads- 2oz pours. Every single one was delicious. My favorite was the Maple- then the Blackberry. This is a must visit if you are in the area... This is a Veteran Owned Business!! Thank you so much for your service!

You can get a flight of wines for $5 or a glass of wine or a pint of beer for $5 each. You can even do a tour and tasting for $10. Plus, all the bottles are pretty much under $25. And they have quite a large variety of whites, reds, and roses too. Cindy, one of the owners, is so very friendly and helpful. She will go through an entire tasting with you with the highest level of patience, allowing you to taste and try anything you'd like to. Her brother-in-law also Is a gem, he himself Popsicles to all of the kids running around and let them ride on the tractor or explore into the garden. Would highly recommend if you are in the area!

Arthur was the live music for the day and he played a great variety of songs (acoustic guitar). The wine is fantastic. I do not know a lot about wine, but I do know that each one we tasted (6) was very easy to drink. We shared a bottle there and I brought 2 home. Bonus: you can bring your own snacks (no beverages). I love this. I enjoy planning my own winery snacks. I was bummed when many wineries quit allowing food because they opened kitchens. So if I have to pay $30+ for food. I'm buying less wine. Anywaaaay, make a little weekend out of visiting this area and have a lovely time at Edg Clif. (Photos do not do it justice)

I'll begin with the bad: the cheese board for $17 was a huge let down. You may be able to tell from the picture that the sliced cheese was hard on the edges like it was old or hadn't been properly stored. I was shocked they'd serve serve old cheese like that when they must have noticed the hard edges while plating..on the disposable plastic plate. This felt more like something someone threw together for a work potluck than something served at a winery. My fried also ordered fried pickle chips & I had one and stopped there. The fried breading was overwhelming salty. You know you're in for a salty dish with pickles anyway, but this was next level. It made me glad we didn't order anything else from the fryer. On to the good - I actually loved the glass of dry rosé I had. I was skeptical since I haven't had a lot of Missouri wines that I've been impressed with, but this is a keeper. My two friends and I all ordered sandwiches with fries or chips and all enjoyed them and felt the serving sizes were generous. The only negative comment about the sandwiches we all shared were that they were all heavy on the sauce. My advice would be to ask for sauce/dressing on the side. We all had enough to take home leftovers. Our server was very busy but attentive considering the number of tables she was working. The inside was cute and cozy and you definitely feel the history of the building. Overall, I would come back here for a glass of rosé and a sandwich- skip the apps!
