Operations staff confirmed with me on 3/2 that they had approximately four hours booked for services. My coordinator sent them the wedding day timeline on 3/12 clearly stating the bride and bridesmaids were to be at the venue at 1 pm. Seventh Avenue Beauty confirmed on 3/15 and 3/20 that they would begin setting up at 8:45am with a 9am start time for hair and makeup. I then received a text on the morning of my wedding, three minutes before artists were supposed to arrive for setup, claiming that they made a typo and they'd be there at 10:30am. First they said it was a typo, then they said they didn't edit their copy and pasted message that goes out to several brides, and they told me everything would be okay with my timeline. A typo isn't made multiple times in a row. Someone dropped the ball with scheduling and I was the one who paid for it. My family and I were incredibly late getting to the venue, I was extremely rushed, my photographer was rushed and didn't get as many shots as she planned, and I was very angry. My family and I couldn't enjoy the time leading up to the ceremony at all. Their error really screwed up my day and put me in a horrible place mentally for the most important day of my life. I can't even remember the events leading up to me walking down the aisle. There was no effort for compensation on their end. In their apology after I emailed them feedback, they simply stated, "we apologize for the confusion caused by our communications." There was no confusion on my end. Their communication was clear and straightforward up until the morning of my wedding. If you do book Seventh Avenue Beauty, please make sure you have at least a few if not several hours of extra time as a buffer in case this happens to you. Hopefully this was just a one-off. Confirming the start time several times to change it the morning of someone's wedding is so inconsiderate. I do want to give a shout out to makeup artist Veronica. Her work is incredible and my makeup was perfect the entire day despite being 105 degrees!
