The biggest takeaway I have from my time at LABUR, in addition to incredible personal relationships with the team, are the relationships I built with the consultants I worked with. I would consider myself an outgoing and friendly person by nature, but building rapport and establishing trust is completely different. My time at LABUR has positioned me to be able to take on a leadership role for a family business that is in need of someone capable of developing and retaining clients, and without my two years of experience at LABUR I would not be able to be stepping into this role.
The culture at LABUR, as cliché as it might sound, is what makes it a great place to work - a special place to work even. I knew the two founders, Seth and Darrin, before I came to work here and I knew I was going to be taken care of, and that they were going to guide me, but everyone who comes through the door is welcomed no differently. They genuinely care and are committed to each person's success, and that's how as a company they are so successful overall. It starts first with each individual and their commitment to delivering the company mission, and they get that.
LABUR has continued to refine its process and its niche throughout the two years I've been here. They're not operating in a commoditized space of vendor portals and throwing resumes at hiring managers; the work they do is concentrated on statements of work around business intelligence, enterprise software, and big IT project delivery, and I can say from experience that the level and attention to detail they pay to their clients directly aligns with the due diligence and detail put into every consultant. The team at LABUR is fully vested in delivering quality over quantity, and the emphasis on relationships is always there.
LABUR has been a family for me in more ways than one, and while I'm stepping out to go lead a family business, the relationships and values I gained from working here will always be with me. read more
