I was worried about reading all the bad reviews that I was going to have wait hours to be seen! I got here Monday morning at 9:18am and checked in on the kiosk. There were 2 other people in the waiting room with me and I only waited 20 mins so wasn't as bad as everyone who been there said it would be. Only thing I didn't like was that there is only one guy working there and he didn't even greet me or introduce himself or said good morning or anything. Felt like he didn't want be there and wasn't friendly just took me back to the room told me what to do and said I can leave after. I only chose this location because it was close and convenient to where I work in winter park. Also none of bathrooms had soap to wash your hands like when you take a urine test they lock up the soap and sink area which is weird so only can use the toilet. read more

This company needs to start being better. No appointments for weeks, once you get here it's at least an hour and a half wait. To boot if you ask for water they send you to the water fountain in the outside hallway. For a company that makes so much money, DO BETTER. read more

I typically don't review anything other than restaurants, but I want to acknowledge the great experience I had this morning with Winter Park LabCorp. I have been going to the Altamonte Springs location on and off for two weeks now trying to be seen early morning before work, with no luck. I've checked to make an appointment and they are booked. I go in at 0715, packed with no seats left. I go in at 0700, packed with no seats left. I go in at 0645, packed with no seats left. This week I finally decided to branch out, being willing to commute before work to make sure I get an appointment time. I made an appointment with the Winter Park location, about 35 min out of the way of my usual morning commute. Being equally as booked I was still able to select an early-ish time of 0730. I expected to get there and have the same over crowded waiting room with an extensive wait like the altamonte location so you can imagine my surprise when I was the only person in the waiting room. I was prompted to sign electronically which was very user friendly. Then I was greeted by Yvette who was kind in instructing me through the rest of my visit (which took a total of maybe 10 min, in-and-out). This is not my first LabCorp experience and I doubt it be my last, but as long as I live in/around Orlando area, I will come back to the Winter Park location. read more

I had a Terrible experience at the Winter Park Labcorp office at 255 Lakemont. I needed to get some lab work done and arrived at the office around 1:25P. At about 2:35P after everyone in the waiting room had been seen and about 6 people who arrived after me had been seen, I was alone in the waiting room. I went to the window to see what was wrong; he couldn't find my registration in his computer although one of the techs had just supposedly put it in the computer a little over an hour ago. The techs, who were also acting as the checkin personnel, were rude, unhelpful and nasty. I returned their attitude, left after now wasting about 90 minutes with this office, and will never come near that place again. I have also warned the medical office who told me about it, to never suggest anyone else Ever go there. read more

Walgreens employee said LabCorp closed an hour after they opened! I waited months for my 11am appointment. Nobody called to inform me they were closing early. I drove 20 miles to get here and needed this appointment to continue receiving medications. TERRIBLE!!! read more

I checked in at touchscreen, and they called my name probably less than a minute later. The lady that took care of me, I believe her name is Tammy, was as friendly kind and gentle as could be. She told me exactly what was going on, and why I had to empty everything out of my pockets. She didn't I didn't do the whole process, I signed my documentation after my urine was sealed. And she sent me on my merry way. She was genuinely concerned that I did not have a mask on, I explain to her that I thought they were going to provide one for me when I arrived. The person at the front desk was the rudest person I ever encountered. Then after fishing for my veins, it was too painful and I asked her to stop and please remove the needle and she refused and said "I almost got it, it's going to come now". If a patient asks for a needle to be removed, it should be removed. read more

The touch screens wouldn't load so I had to go wait in line for the front desk to check in. also I came in for a drug test and so I was in the bathroom taking a tiny bit and the man said that I have to go back in the lobby for 30 mins because he said he had to go to LUNCH??? I went to this location to get blood drawn. Very easy check in process, and short walk in wait times (the 2 stars) I've gotten blood drawn many times before and never had an issue. This time, at this location, when the needle was put in, I felt a sharp pain down in my fingers. After leaving the facility, I had numbness in my fingers, forearm and bicep. The pressure wrap that was applied didn't help much, as my arm was still bleeding when I took it off 20 mins later. It's 24 hours later, as I write this, and I still have numbness and a burning pain in my forearm. I don't know the name of the woman that took my blood, but she was horrible. I had high hopes after reading previous reviews, however, this location was another LabCorp disappointment. I can't speak for all the staff at this Winter Park location, but the employee behind the desk Sophia was the most passive aggressive labcorp employee I have ever encountered. Her lack of empathy and general "I hate my job" attitude is what prompted to write this review. I came in on time for an appt, after providing my information and specifying which Dr provided the order (as I have been seen by a few Dr's that have ordered lab work recently and sent in the order electronically ) I was told to have a seat. A few minutes went by and I was given the patient responsibility form to sign with my estimated costs. I signed it sat back down to finish reviewing it and realized that the wrong order was processed from a physician I haven't seen in months. I realize that this is an honest mistake, however, had I not reviewed the entire form I would have paid to have unnecessary lab work performed from a months old order that I would have never seen the results to as I am no longer a patient of said doctor. Not to mention I would have shown up and paid for a follow up visit to my actual Dr only to find out that my lab work was never performed. Honest mistake, however, I not once received an apology in fact the total opposite she became frustrated with me because of the extra work her mistake had now caused. At that point I didn't dare to mention that I had confirmed with her from the very beginning the Dr who had actually ordered the lab work in the first place. I work in the customer service field and I understand the challenges that working with the public creates, however, when I am in the wrong an apology goes a long way. But with a company that overworks and underpay's its employees and in an industry where the insurance companies only gives us 2 major lab companies to choose from I can see how hiring and retaining good quality employees is not a priority. read more

Of course had blood drawn, so I went to this one as it was closer to my office in Winter Park. The parking was easy, though could be a little confusing for some. The staff was very friendly and made things pretty easy. There are two reasons I'm doing a four star rather than five. One was no one explained why they were keeping my credit card on file u till I asked. I feel that should be explained upfront. The second reason is they had to call me back to take an extra tube of blood they missed. I know mistakes happen, but in healthcare, there shouldn't be. The staff was super nice and friendly and did apologize so that made things a lot better. read more

Their air conditioning was broken during my last visit, so it made having blood drawn even less pleasant than usual. Plus, the waiting room was pretty full and there are no windows to open in order to air out the hot room. However, the wait wasn't as long (less than 20 minutes without an appointment) and once I went back to have my labs drawn, it took less than 5 minutes. read more

The staff Who drew my family' member's blood must have lost his mind and replaced it with IGNORANCE. my family member is a 17 yr old female and has Type 1 juvenile diabetes. This gross, poor excuse of a technician/nurse told her "oof, so young. You couldn't control yo ur diet and exercise" and she unnecessarily explained her condition afterward. I've been going to this location for the last two of my pregnancies. They are always prompt, especially if you have an appointment. But this specific day I had to have several blood test, something like 10 tubes drawn. The lap tech was awesome! It didn't hurt. She got all those tubes of blood AND the other test needed but still got me out the door in time for my doctor appointment. They have great customer service read more

Waited at the window for 11 min before anyone even showed up When someone did all she said was sign in and sit down ... that's all no how you doing how can I help etc So I did what I was told and proceeded to wait another 25 min to be seen . I have a rare cancer and jave had trouble locating a lab that could run the tests I need and send them to Interscience for results. The tests also need special tubes. Ms. Evette stated that she'd try to get the tubes and would call back. Within a few hours she called me and within a few days she had the tubes. I was sure I'd have to go all the way out of state to have the tests. The Lab Corp in Winter Park goes the extra mile, all are polite, helpful and make you feel comfortable. All of the reviews I read about Labcorp in Orlando were dismal. I found this location after a web search because it didn't show up on Yelp. They have just moved in from another building. It's very clean, the receptionists were very polite and my lab tech efficient. None of the nightmares described in other posts for other locations. It helps that I came in at 11am. I made an appointment online, and I was seen almost instantly (I went very early -- 7:45 AM). The entire process took about fifteen minutes, the staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and really went above and beyond (I am a fainter and the nurse who drew my blood talked to me throughout the process to make sure I was comfortable and distracted, and even made sure I was all right to stand up and drive). read more

This was the worst experience and I would not recommend this location. They are understaffed and the communication at check-in was horrible. I had a 10:45 appointment and was not seen until 12:30. I did the express check-in which prompted me to sit down and wait and no one ever communicated that I had to do the manual check in as well. Why would you? When you show up the chairs are facing the back wall and the TV was off....almost as if we were being punished. People who came in after me went ahead of me for their bloodwork.
