Professionally and timely. Office is clean. The phlebotomists were gentle and kind. I would recommend this facility.

A drug testing collection center with local offices in New York City. In hopes for a better and…read moresecured future, I was designated to dispose bodily fluids into a cup to disclose any foreign substances withheld. I have none-- HONESTLY! Under a watchful eye a testing collector oversaw my every move from entering the premise, removing all personal belongings, turning out pockets, pre-washing hands, entering the restroom, placing the specimen on the table, post-washing hands, and including watching the collector drop the specimen into two separate test tubes. Whoa! I have done a drug test for a previous employment, but I have never witnessed a test collector who placed the specimen into cassette tubes and then package. All specimen are sent to Quest Diagnostics, a leading U.S. laboratory analysis with multiple locations. Upon entering premises the air is whiff with the acrid odor of urine. Signature and valid photo identification are required. All exams are by appointment only in conjunction with the collection site and the employer without regards to the candidate's schedule. Thankfully, testing collectors do not have the legal right to do a TSA airport style "pat down" but only to instruct candidates to turn out pockets. Ahhh, I felt like it was a interrogation for a criminal investigation!! Despite of the overall ordeal interrogation, the collector was professional amid doing her job as she was not curt, nor abrasive, and not dismissive with her tone. I went to the Downtown Civic Center site at 160 Broadway in New York City which is located in the lobby.

Once registered, you sit and wait for someone to come out and call you. They accept appointments and walk-ins. Appointments get first priority, so I suggest making an appointment online before coming here. I made an appointment online (which was confirmed via email & text), so all I really needed to do at the kiosk was scan my ID & insurance card. The wait wasn't too long (there were a few people already sitting there when I came in) and I was called right around my appointment time. The whole thing was quick and I was out within 10 mins. The one who drew my blood was nice and professional. She was the only staff member I encountered the whole time I was there. They have a sizable parking lot, so you should be able to find a spot. Only the second time I've been to a Quest (the other was in New Rochelle years ago - but this one was better), so I have really no complaints. I'd come here again if needed.

A few min later, I was told by a phlebotomist that they can no longer take anyone because it's too late. I called quest customer service and the representative told me their last available slot is 10 min before closing, and it was well before that time. But there was nothing she could do about it. Not sure what the point of customer service is if they can't help the customer when a location refuses to provide service. Then the phlebotomist tells me that she normally would do it but has a family emergency and needs to get home. So I said well what about the other phlebotomist? Apparently she had an emergency and needed to leave too. So don't come here expecting to get service, it appears that the employees have too much going on in their personal life to actually do their jobs.

This place is awful. Let us start with the actual facilities which are dingy feels dirty. Feels…read morelike they stay here due to low rent. Sign in was seamless and did not have to wait very long (probably because I ordered the blood test a la carte aka paid out of pocket) but the phlebotomist Kamal? blew my vein. Never felt pain like that before. He was a one man show bouncing from room to room so was probably on robot mode but nonetheless, this should never happen; my arm is still sore and hurt from this morning's blood draw. Quest is MUCH better, albeit more expensive. Especially with the new self test ordering stuff that has become en vogue. I will try a different location, but I will more than likely pay more for Quest...you definitely get what you pay for. Avoid this location for any testing.

The waiting room was packed and I decided to wait in the hall until I received the text. A woman was waiting in the hallway for over two hours because she did the same as me. I saw numerous people who came in after me, leave. I finally received the text. When I asked the front desk staff person whether they text first or call out the name, she stated that they call the name first and then text the patient. This makes no sense. You have 30 people in a small waiting room that has only 5 chairs. Everyone is standing on top of one another. Why the hell would I stay in there with all those people? Of course I'm going to wait outside. If you're offering people the option. To receive a text so that they don't have to be around so many people, especially during this moment in history, why would you not text th first? Instead, you call their name and when they don't hear you, they go on to the next person and the person after that, and then they call you. I literally watched a woman walk in AFTER I received my text, that got called up before they called my name. Makes no sense and I won't ever be back. Not to mention that the phlebotomist took his time coming to me, likely because he heard me complaining. This place is full of crap.

Just make sure to get on Westchester Ave heading west and look for Citibank. The location Google maps suggests brings you to White Plains and you will not be able to locate. After that, I came in and waited 1.5 hours to be seen for 5 minutes, this is crazy, I have been to labs before, but this location (which is the only one left since the other one closed). Not going to them anymore, will get UHC to get me over to Quest Labs instead, more locations and better facilities... I am still disgusted, there goes my WHOLE morning, thanks! UPDATE: While calling my name, the nurse at the counter asked why I didnt respond when he called my name.. I did not hear any name that sounded like mine, then he continued to say why I didnt print out my name... well it was printed, its not my fault you cannot pronounce GU. I showed up at my appointment time only to find out that they were closed an hour before my appointment time due to the holidays. This is frustrating. When I called Labcorp to find out why I wasn't alerted to this, they suggested that I should have called to double-check the hours. Why would I call? It had already been confirmed twice via email. I wish I had other options for labwork because I would definitely go somewhere else.
