This facility publicly advertises that it accepts walk-in patients. However, based on multiple personal experiences, this representation appears to be false. Regardless of the time of day--whether early morning or late afternoon--and despite the waiting area having one or no patients at all, staff repeatedly state that walk-ins are not accepted. read more

If you can avoid quest lab do it. Paperwork must be faxed or handed to them otherwise they will not perform tests. Emails are not accepted or acceptable, and unlike every other lab I go to, they offer no option to print paperwork at the office. Appointments are canceled last minute with no follow up. Even if the paperwork is correct, the system is down so...sucks for you I guess? Some techs are on power trips, while those that aren't are just genuinely unhelpful. All of these pop up labs are difficult, if not down right impossible, but quest is by far one of the worst imo. There is no spirit of customer service. Instead it's people who are just doing a job, but honestly I don't blame staff. Overworked, underpaid, and abused because of crappy systems. This is a issue that stems from management. Just try calling a location and you will see what I mean. It's honestly laughable how much this organization doesn't care about it's clients. This is the second time I have used this lab, and I did so at the encouragement of my own physician, who felt his own in-house lab was slipping. Park directly behind the building. The lab is on the basement floor, and there is a door just off the lot. Also, it is in-network for Aetna. You can use the My Quest app to make an appointment, and the app allows you to check in via text. The location is clean, organized, and a decent size. The phlebotomist, Chanel, was observed Covid protocol, and was gentle and efficient. I had a glitch in my test, and she allowed me to do a walk in the next day to resolve it. Will return. Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. When I arrived for my 8:30am, they told me that since FedEx has a 4 hour window, and they close at 12pm that day, they couldn't do my bloodwork. It is impossible to speak to anyone as the phone has an automated service and does not even provide the option to talk to someone over the phone. I booked an appointment through this service and was told "GOODBYE". I wasn't sure if it had booked and never got a confirmation so I went in to check. The woman working was rude and dismissive and the place was empty but she could not accomodate. Now there are no open appointments so I have to book elsewhere. Advice - CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU NEED TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS AND NEED QUESTIONS ANSWERED. read more

If you value your time, find some other place for your diagnostic needs. They apparently have a huge problem finding staffers who either have talent (ability to do as pain free or efficient of a blood draw), or staffers who DON'T SHOW UP AT ALL. I've been using this lab exclusively for roughly 12 years (at regular three month intervals), and in the last 1-2 years the quality of the service has totally gone down the crapper. (See attached photo.) Given the nature of what this business is, A LAB after all, the management and/or corporate office should be savvy and compassionate enough to realize that the majority of folks who are there for blood work are FASTING AND IRRITABLE (BECAUSE THEY ARE FASTING!). Also, if someone is getting their cortisol (the "fight or flight" hormone") tested, to stress out or make your patient anxious immediately before or during a blood draw is counter-effective. (Again, I suggest, see the aforementioned attached photo of the welt on my arm after my last blood draw.) Whomever does the hiring and management for the Dobbs Ferry Road site is wholly lacking in foresight in realizing yes, Mondays and Fridays are BIG days for visits to the lab, as well as the day before/after a holiday, and of course the MORNINGS are the heaviest volume time of the day. Their staffing of this site is woefully inadequate. It is unfair to both, the patients who visit as well as the solitary, remaining staffer left to do the work that really should be done by 2-3 people. I've played nice. I've contacted their corporate office. I did what was recommended and schedule appointments, WITH ZERO improvement in my experience of this particular site. What's the use of scheduling an appointment, if your site is so understaffed, that if there's high volume of walk ins already waiting in the waiting room? That's not a guarantee you'll get in any faster, and depending on the skills/quality of the phlebotomist tending to you, the wait could EVEN LONGER while they fumble around with labels and tubes. My money and I are going to go elsewhere, to find a laboratory that just sucks my blood rather than just SUCK. read more

I agree with Jam B's review; it is impossible to speak with anyone at Quest. After much time trying to speak with a human, the rude woman working at the 280 Dobbs Ferry Road lab offhandedly said the phone doesn't ring there anyway. She was completely offensive, dismissive and horrible. As there is no human at Quest to speak with, I relied on phone recordings and internet sites that stated that walk-ins are possible in the Dobbs Ferry Road, White Plains, NY location. So I went there after fasting for 12 hours per the request of my doctor based on the tests that he ordered. I found a chicken-scratch scrawled note on the Quest door stating "Appointments Only". What?? I entered and found an empty waiting room. The nasty, rude and lazy woman at this location refused to do my testing, which was ordinary. Her rudeness and lack of compassion were anathema, particularly given my likely incurable diagnosis. Quest begs patients to make appointments, but there are none available at White plains or other area locations for weeks. Thanks lady, I'll just have to drive two hours round trip so my physician's office can do the blood draw and send it to the large teaching hospital lab that will likely yield more accurate results. Maybe you did me a favor. And thanks Quest for losing a prior specimen. Quest is too big to fail. Next time - LABCORP OR ANY OTHER LAB. DO NOT GO TO QUEST. read more

Stay away from this place. They are completely disorganized, sloppy and impossible to get on the phone when you a have a problem. Just to make an appointment they put me on hold for 20 minutes. Even my doctor had trouble sending them instructions for my blood test. He copied me on what he sent them. I brought a copy of what he sent Quest with me to my appointment. And it's a good thing I did because they couldn't find the one my doctor sent them a couple days earlier. Quest also screwed up my appointment time so I had to wait 30 minutes for the test. Then there's the test itself. On my prescription my doctor listed exactly what he wanted them to check for. When my doctor called me a couple days later to give me the results, he told me Quest had only done 1/2 of the tests he instructed them to do on his prescription. Now I have to have a second blood test. But I can assure you, it won't be at Quest. Patient beware!!! read more

My experience was that there was no way to speak to anyone and find out if the location was accepting walk-ins before showing up in person which is really not cool. Had a great phlebotomist, she was a no-BS hispanic superwoman, it was a tiny prick that healed in a couple hours. The lady at the front however, was chatting it up with patients while a whole group of us was waiting in the waiting room, I was initially livid and writing an angry review especially since it took nearly 45 min to be seen and it was in the middle of my work week and this woman was asking a patient to show him how he printed a job off her printer using his phone?? Wait time for a simple drop off is 20-30 minutes. Very inefficient system although they digitized their sign in. And there were only 2-3 people waiting. Better go somewhere else. Labcorp is excellent. Drop off only took 2 minutes. read more

I'm not sure why this location got such bad reviews. The reviews almost scared me away but I'm glad I gave it a try because my experience was great. I think the key is to make an appointment ahead of time and I was seen right away. The staff were friendly and the phlebotomist was smooth. I had an infant with me and had to carry the stroller up one stair so that was slightly inconvenient but that's my only negative thought. Lots of parking spaces. I will return if I have to! read more

Full house when I got there. Good thing I got there early. Of course this was right after the holiday. I guess everyone wanted to be tested. I didn't have to wait long. She call me about 5 or 10 min after my assigned time. Whew!!! With all the people there I thought I had to wait hours. Everyone was very nice and the one woman was doing the test and handling everything else. Nothing phase her. She was also kind. And very good at putting me and another older woman at ease.
