Pro: big parking lot, vending machine on lobby, check in machine, clean interior, moderate size parking lot. Con: lab test at 10 am. Had to have some labs done for my pre employment screening so I came to this location which was the closest to my house. Parking lot is decent size so no issues there and there is a vending machine in the front of lobby if needed. Upon entering the LabCorp you sign in by machine. The desk will call you for the paperwork and ID. It took about 20 minutes overall to get some lab drawn and do my drug screen. It is still weird that LabCorp open at 7:30 am but don't do drug screen till 10 am. The staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a quick and easy process. read more

The Labcorp website says appointments aren't mandatory, but I arrived 45 minutes before closing and they refused to let me check in. I did not know I needed lab work until this morning (for surgery in five days) and no appointments were available for today or tomorrow, but, hey, Labcorp says appointments are necessary. Took my elderly parents here for their annual blood lab work while in town visiting. Due to Covid pandemic, appointments are recommended though my parents had "drop-in" for that particular day. It's in a building with many other medical businesses and requires quite a walk to get here from the parking lot. Seats in waiting room are positioned with spacing and signs about 6' distancing. You can either check in through self check-in or via front desk (which was much smarter to do, especially if your one parent doesn't know what he's there for, as other parent scheduled it). There is signage on the door and throughout Labcorp about face masks, hand sanitizer at front desk and in it's hallway of the lab examining rooms. The staff were real good. It's hard to hear with their masks and plexiglass but they did a great job taking the blood, and giving instruction. They allowed me to accompany my 90-yo dad whose memory is fading and last year drove away leaving my mom . . . Still debatable whether just forgot or was deliberate; regardless, we have him not driving so it's great that they allowed both appointments to be on same day. Even my Honey Hubby who required plenty of tests state he's impressed with LabCorp efficiency though in different state. The Plum Orchard Drive was an expeditious location. The staff was friendly and handled requirements professionally. KUDOS to the location. I will visit in the future and recommend this location. I originally went to the University Boulevard location that stated via their telephone # that they accepted walk-ins. When I arrived an unarmed flashlight security guard barely speaking English in the lobby informed me there was no walk-in. I had to make an appointment and pointed to a sign that did not reflect their message via phone. Don't visit the University location without an appointment; their voicemail should be changed to reflect their transactions. read more

Although their site says it's open at 7:30am. Her tone and delivery was not pleasant and she has an attitude. She honestly should not work there and she needs to wear proper scrubs. LabCorp's location near Adventist Hospital in Silver Spring is horribly disorganized and inefficient. My MD sent an order for blood work over on 9/2. When I arrived for an appointment a week later, they couldn't find it. My appointment was before the MD's office hours so I couldn't call. When I did, the assures me the paperwork had been sent. I made another appointment two weeks later. This time, I made it during office hours of my MD. LabCorp again couldn't find the order. This time I called the MD and they faxed the paperwork over. It would seem to make sense for LabCorp to notify you when you make an appointment if they dont have your paperwork. Appointment times are "aspirational" at best as I'm now 35 minutes past mine. Will definitely try to use a different lab next time. read more

Don't bother making an appointment with them. Had a 3 pm employment drug screen appointment and was walking through the door at 3:03 and checked in by 3:05 but they wouldn't take me. They said they close at 3 pm but I was able to make an appointment for 3 pm. Their approach was extremely condescending. Same situation for another person scheduled for 3 pm. Also, when I arrived the women were all chatting and it seemed like honestly they didn't care about the customers. She took my sheet, glanced at it, then said the drug screenings were done. What was the purpose of looking at my paperwork. I was also there for blood work but she would not let me get a word in to explain I was there for two purposes -- cutting me off while I was talking. Instead she ushered me out the door as quickly as possible so she could get back to talking. Also, drug employment screens are pretty common for people in various job fields - stop treating us like we are guilty! Left to go to another office. Waste of time. Please give your staff some training in customer service and professionalism! read more

This LabCorp is attached to my Primary Care doctor's office. I am typically an early morning visitor to the Doctor's Office, because I need to take fasting blood tests. The longest I have ever waited at this office has been about 25 minutes and that was with 6 people ahead of me. When they got me in they apologized for the wait. They have never had a problem finding a vein and are incredibly professional & friendly. I even love the little bat that on the lab sign - silly vampires. read more

My wife and I arrived at the New Hampshire location for an early appointment at 8 am without eating for a blood test, to find out that the system went down and got sent to the 12210 Plum location after having to call them and confirming the appointment when we got there, Wendy, the receptionist, was very rude shouting and loud speaking for no reason loud with zero respect, it was 830am only us in the room, my wife was tired already from all the traveling not having food etc... Wendy declined to help us, said we need to wait while more walk-in started to arrive, we tried to explain to her that we have an appointment but unfortunately, Wendy is racist who doesn't like white people. Her behavior was absurd. It's a shame having this type of behavior representing a big company like LabCorp. I will follow-up with management and with the local news channel next. read more

Ok, never once in my life did I think I would want to write a review, let alone be the one to create the business and write the first review! In my industry, I often am required by my employer to do drug screenings. I always dread them, not the actual procedure itself because that I am quite used to by now, but the employees at the lab centers. Almost every time, they are rude, slow and treat me like a criminal. The is the ONE time that I had an employee who was friendly, efficient and nice! I couldn't believe how quick and wonderful my experience was. I even intend on calling to let his manager know because he was amazing. There was only one employee behind the desk, I wish I had gotten his name. He was great and really accommodating to everyone. I was in and out! He knew exactly what he was doing and even with a room full of people, he made sure to keep a positive attitude and get the job done. I purposely picked this location (12210 Plum Orchard Dr Ste 215 Silver Spring, MD 20904) about six months ago after reviewing Yelp. I've had blood drawn three times (third one today) and I have to give kudos to the excellent staff at the location. The facility is clean and professional looking, and the largest LabCorp facility that I've ever been to! Please take advantage of the online appointment scheduler.
