I went in on 1/9/18 at approx 7:45 am and spoke to a middle aged heavy pale white man with very short gray and balding hair. Total Smart ass who doesn't know the first thing about customer service or how to answer a question. First he asked have you been fasting and I said yes, I then asked how long should I fast and he said 10 to 12 hours, I said my Dr said 8. He then in a snarly contemptuous tone stated well then why ask? I'm curious what different labs and Doctors recommend I don't need this kind of contemptuous back talk from a nit wit lab tech. Next he presented me with a bill for $102.62 which I had to pay then and there. I asked is that because it's the beginning of the year and its applied to my deductible? Once again I got a stupid answer. He said no it's because we charge more and if your insurance company says its covered 100% don't listen to them. I was like OK whatever at this point I knew I would figure this out latter. My Blood was drawn and I went on my way. I got home and read the paperwork I was given and discovered that in fact it clearly said that the charges were applied to my deductible. If Smart Boy had taken just a split second to look at the paper he has probably handed a thousand patients he would of been able to answer YES It's applied to your deductible. I won't go back to these clowns ever. I have used Quest lab in the past and will insist on it with every Dr I see. read more

In the door, 3 tubes of blood, and out within 9 MINS!!! I also came in with no appointment, at 6:35am. The gentleman at the front desk and that drew my blood, bald Caucasian white man (didn't get his name) was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I made him aware of my phobia of needles and he accommodated that. Great service at this LabCorp location! read more

We had a perfect experience here. Glad I checked Yelp before taking my three year old son for his first blood draw. Made an appointment online and were seen right on time. I wasn't sure how my son would deal but thanks to John it was a non event. He found the vein right away, worked quickly and it was all done. Not a peep from my child! John is not only great with kids but also very experienced with infant blood draws. We will definitely make the drive to Seal Beach again for future lab work. read more

So I'm sure a lot of you don't know, I've had a lot of really bad experiences with people drawing my blood. My veins are small an hard to see so all the times I've had to get my blood drawn people always hurt me or dig into my arm or what they call "fishing" it's always been an extremely terrible experience for me. The last two times I've had my blood drawn my doctors office has sent me to this place in Seal Beach called LabCorp - laboratory Corporation of America. I can't even begin to explain how amazing this guy is! His name is John n he's done my blood both times and his is absolutely outstanding and I'm sure it doesn't matter to any of you but to me it's made such and amazing difference in my attitude towards getting my blood drawn. It's absolutely amazing I don't think he'll ever understand what a difference he's made for me :) read more

I have had labs done at the LabCorp location several times now and John is wonderful. He is great with my 9 year old daughter, so much so, that she refuses to have anyone else draw her blood. Highly recommend and have never had to wait. read more

Best experience I've ever had at a lab. I was in and out in under 5 minutes w/o an appointment! Super quick check-in, no paperwork. The person who served me (dang, I forgot his name) was very friendly, caring and professional; and the facility was spotless. They do ask for your insurance-adjusted payment in advance, which I actually prefer (no pesky bills later!). I'll definitely come back here next time I need lab work. read more

Super happy with this LabCorp. The guys here are nice. This time I had a 1hr glucose test so I got to sit there and see how they did with the other patients too. Everyone was in and out pretty fast!! Nice sized waiting area so you don't feel cramped! At the other LabCorp I have been too I normally go sit in my car and cry afterwards because it hurts so bad and end up with a bruise for days, which is why I was looking for a different one to go to. This place was not very customer friendly, I was sent here from the doctor across the lot (not my choice) when the desk person asked for my card, I pulled it off the castlight site, he would not accept it for some reason they need a hard copy.what's up with this, I haven't carried a card in years, point is I am the customer that is paying this place and as such should get a little Curtiousy from the service provider, the person was very unnerving at a time when I have fasted to get blood work done, and was at the pass out point from listening to him say the doctor does this to him a lot. I have been here twice and was bullied both times into pre-authorizing payment when I had insurance which covers lab service. This is only an option per their own website, and customers should not be intimidated into paying in advance. I will not be back. read more

I can't begin how thankful I am for this place. I am terrified of needles. Real phobia and John, as recommended by this yelp page was amazing. He was very understanding of my phobia. I decided to try this relatively new Seal Beach Labcorp location based on its good reviews. True to the reviews, I had an efficient check in. They took me right at my appointment time (you can make/change appointments online 24/7 at labcorp.com). There were two men doing the blood draws. One was a bald guy who was very gregarious and seemed to know each patient from prior visits, saying things like "Haven't seen you in a while!" etc. I assume that was John, who reviewers rave about here, however he was not wearing a name tag so I'm not sure. I got the other guy, a quiet, serious man whose name tag said Carlos. I was at first a bit disappointed because I came there based on the reviews saying how John is good with difficult blood draws, which mine would be since he would have to take it from my hand. But Carlos immediately found a good vein, went in painlessly with a tiny butterfly needle they use on kids, got the two vials of blood my doctor ordered within what seemed like mere seconds, and I was out of there. The whole appointment took about 5 minutes. This will be my new go-to place for blood draws! read more

I had made two appointments at a different lab company and both times when I arrived I was told they were behind by as much as 30-40 minutes. I could not wait that long as I was on a lunch break each time as that place did not open early enough for me to come before work. I then decided to go to Lab Corp in Seal Beach; it was perfect. The people who work there were all so attentive and proficient. They explained their process well and made me feel very comfortable even though I hate needles. John was amazing and I truly barely felt it when he took my blood. I appreciated that fact they were very hygienic and gave me a big brown bag to take home my supplies (which were in other plastic sealed bags) to complete a 24- hour urine collection. When I returned the next day, again, everything was done smoothly, I had to have blood taken again and another phlebotomist also did this painlessly for me.
