As most people are I'm not excited to get blood drawn. I wouldn't say I'm deathly afraid, but it's definitely something I take the time to mentally prepare for. I'm 4+ months pregnant and of course that calls for some bloodwork. I put off my 10 week tests till I was about 14 weeks. I researched all local lab corps and of course like all Yelp reviews none are perfect. I saw several positive comments about a gentleman named John. Finally when I mustered up the courage to do the labs I walked in and saw a man at the front. Fingers crossed i said to myself please be John. The man called me to room 1. I sat down and he said "hi my name is John..". I stopped him there and said "oh thank god!" He looked puzzled. I said you're the guy I needed. Yelp said so. He chuckled. We carried on a nice conversation while he took my 9 or so vials(yuck). He did a fantastic job and kept my mind busy. You can be excellent at drawing blood, but he also knew to carry on a distracting conversation to lessen my anxiety. For that I'm grateful. Yelp is a funny thing. Anyone can say anything negative whenever they feel upset. I chose to only right write reviews when I'm satisfied to recognize good business and services. With that being said for the naysayers..... I'm not sure if some people are walking in to a lab expecting beers and music or what exactly they're expecting. However, people should try talking to workers of any sort, but especially those who administer health care to YOU in a pleasant manor. It's a tough job to be in healthcare let alone do something that most people don't like. I'm a firm believer in treating others as I wish to be treated in all aspects of life..... One very unpleasant experience . We were berated by the man at check- in within the first few seconds we stepped over threshold , it was over their policy of " 2 people only allowed inside"- I had just walked my elderly mother w/dementia across 2 parking lots to the suite, and only saw the sign as we walked inside. There was another client there. W/O giving me a chance to explain, or figure out what to do with my mom, he proceeded to be mean, condescending and was just plain old rude in his interactions, telling us to go back to our car, leave my mom there, and come back to register her ....Of course I had no problem with any of that, but was just pretty shocked at the extremely rude tone and unprofessional attitude . I am completely frustrated I booked my dad an appointment at this facility! I took my parents here this morning to get my dad who has stage 4 cancer to get his lab work done to get his medicine. I thought the wait would be longer so I decided to drop them off while I got them breakfast. When I got back my mom told me she forgot her phone at home and the person admitting patients in, who was a bald caucasian man automatically told my parents even before he checked his system that they didn't have an appointment and that they had to wait outside because it was only 5 maximum capacity in the waiting room, however there were only 2 people inside the waiting room at the time. And my mom gave the bald headed Caucasian man my dad's name and still said that my did wasn't in their system for an appointment. Then minutes later the man found my dad's name in their system and did not even apologize and just told my mom "oh this facility is a walk in facility, next time bring the QR code confirmation". I am utterly disgusted by the lack of service my parents received and mind you my dad has a hard time walking let alone standing for long period of time! I will never schedule an appointment for my dad or my mom at this place ever again! What gives this bald Caucasian man the right to treat timid elderly people with such disrespect...I understand people get busy at times and it's also their job to make sure patients are treated well, my parents aren't rude people, I would understand if my parents were rude but even then patients shouldn't be treated that way! read more

I'm going to preface this review by stating that I am afraid of needles. Very afraid - I get all worked up at the thought of someone poking me a trillion times. With that said, EDGAR was amazing!! I'm a 31 year old chicken and he made me feel extremely comfortable and talked to me the entire time. Super fast, painless service. Right when I walked in, the two girls at the front were extremely sweet as well. I was really nervous after reading some of the reviews at different locations, but if you're a chicken like me, highly recommend coming to this Seal Beach location! read more

i have had 2 bad experiences here. but i couldnt get an appt at another location. first visit. the phlebotomist was beyond incompetent. Second visit. drew blood told me i was finished. i questioned if there were more tests. on her second look yes there were a number of other tests. you need to be very competent to offset their uncompetence. pay better to attract competence. read more

i needed to get bloodwork done & this labcorp location made it super easy! at first i went to the location on termino and it was over an hour wait time with an appointment. i canceled my appointment there & made one for seal beach the following week. i was called right at my appointment time & was in and out of the place in 10 mins. this office is adhering to local covid guidelines & making everything feel super safe. i didn't get the name of the man who drew my blood but it was quick and painless! you can see in my photos that i did not bruise at all! read more

This place is wonderful. It gets very busy at times, but the staff is always professional and considerate. I've read all the reviews, and it's best to refrain from believing the negative comments - I'm convinced those negative people are the "hard to please" entitled attitude types. I am a registered nurse and have witnessed the most professional practices among the staff. I'm also a very difficult "stick" when it comes to drawing blood. If you're afraid of needles (many people are), or if you've been told you're a difficult draw, this is the place for you. In fact, Jon is the most experienced staff member and makes difficult draws look SIMPLE. Although I don't live in Seal Beach, this is my go-to place for anything lab related. I can honestly say that this location has earned every single one of the stars in its 5 star review. I'm one of those people that is constantly told I'm a "hard stick" as an excuse for why someone is digging around in my arm with a large needle. Well, being pregnant means I have to get blood work done about every other week and it's been miserable... until yesterday! I read the reviews of this location and thought "I'll give it a shot. Can't be any worse than the last place!" and boy am I glad I did! I was lucky enough to have Carlos who was incredible! He listened to me when I told him I was a hard stick and took his time to find the right vein and got one on the FIRST TRY! This place was a little tricky to locate, it is across from the Grocery shopping center.. The GPS doesn't find it correctly. This location is clean. I seen 2 employees, one that processed my insurance/payment & the other person that did the blood work, it was a good experience. I would differentiate come back for further lab works. I was in and out of here within twenty minutes. I walked in on a Monday at about 1:40pm. The office was empty with the exception of two employees. They were both very friendly and welcoming. He processed my lab request and insurance by scanning my insurance card in less than five seconds. While he completed that process, "Mika" told me to choose either booth one or two and she'd be right with me. After I sat down, I warned her that I have a needle phobia and needed to look away the entire time. She was super sweet about it and nodded with a smile. She immediately found my vein without any delay and drew the necessary blood. I don't believe it took her more than two minutes from start to finish. She handed me the labeled bottle for my urinalysis and pointed to the restroom. I came out, she told me where to place it, and my doctor would have the results in about a week. The best independent lab experience I've had thus far and if I ever need labs in the future, I'm going directly back to them! Wonderful service and experience! read more

I've always had a good experience at this location. The staff is very caring and patient, even when the lab is busy.

I went in today Aug 13 to get a simple blood test and was told only 2 people in office so wait outside in 90 degree weather and humidity. Mind you there are no chairs or bench to sit on. I'm out there for 1/2 hour and nobody comes out. I go in and tell her I've been waiting and she says, you don't have an appointment and you will have to wait about an hour. There wasn't even that many people waiting! Mostly I was just angry that these front desk people have no communication skills whatsoever nor do they have customer service training. I left and went to Lab Corp on Westminster blvd. They allowed me in with nice air conditioning and allowed me to put my name in and wait 1/2 the amount of time as this Seal Beach Lab. read more

Stay away from the Seal Beach Location on PCH! As I have read in the other recent reviews the technician John, a tall bald white gentleman is so incredibly rude and feels entitled to speak to patients in an angry and totally inappropriate manner. I cannot understand why LabCorp allows this type of behavior to continue when its obvious from the other reviews that this is going on on a daily basis. It is stressful enough to have to fast and have labs drawn worrying about the results to come when you are having a health challenge but to have to deal with someone who obviously in not suited to his job just makes it so much harder to deal with.. There's a reason this place gets 4 1/2 stars. John and Carlos are both excellent. The very Best. I have problems with blood draws as they say my veins close up. My Hospital record is 6 tries at one time. I can go into shock before they get the needle in. Human pin cushion. Both of these gentlemen have never missed the first try in 10 years. Almost unbelievable how good they are. John is also just a supportive, caring guy. Over the years, John has caught my doctors several times not coding the lab requests correctly. He has tactfully pointed it out and asked if I wanted to pay $350 or get it free. He's never been wrong. Hard to express how much I respect and admire this business and the people who work there. I'm completely surprised by the negative reviews here. My daughter has had to have her blood drawn several time lately, without an appointment, and has gotten right in. We've had blood drawn by most of the staff and all have been pleasant and efficient. John has been the one I've seen the most and is very nice to all. Went in to get my yearly blood drawn and was told it was $68. I didnt think this was right but was assured that this was the cost by the phlebotomist. I got home and my ins company said my yearly labs are covered 100%. I called Labcorp to see who dropped the ball on the coding (my MD or Labcorp) I was told by Labcorp that even if they know my insurance covers the work, THEY STILL KEEP MY CREDIT INFORMATION JUST IN CASE!!!!this is bad business read more
