I normally dont have an incredible experience at this location, but today must have been my lucky day. I have all kinds of issues with blood being drawn and it's usually a painful experience for both myself and the poor phlebotomist. I was in with Tracy--she said she was covering for a co-worker and usually she floats between different offices. She was SO GOOD. I kept waiting for the pain or that she would have a hard time locating the vein, but she was sweet and confident and good. I wish she worked in that office all the time. read more

I needed to get some bloodwork done and picked this LabCorp location as it is by my office. I went online and made an appointment two days prior for Wednesday, May 15th at 9:15am. I showed up about 15 mins early. It was kinda unclear how to check in since there are kiosks and a receptionist. I told the receptionist I made an appointment online and she just told me to sit down. I asked if she needed to see my insurance card and she acted like I was annoying her. She pointed out she already told me to sit down and wait. Okay, rude much?! She finally called me back afterwards and took my insurance info, gave me an estimate, etc. Getting the blood taken was fine. Though this location is a little messy. Felt a little unsanitary? I figured it was fine. They are a lab after all? The nurses (or blood drawers? Not sure what to call them?) were nice and quick. They got the two vials pretty fast. They do everything online, so I could access my results 4-7 days later. Though I'm not a doctor, so I still waited for my dr to interpret them. I did appreciate that I could access the results myself though. This location got the job done, but their receptionist was a huge turn off. I get that you're busy, but there are definitely nicer ways to greet people. read more

These guys are complete I just got an invoice (first one since the work requested was done) and they definitely let you know the bill is due NOW!!!!! I honestly do not know why this place currently has an average of only 2.5 stars! I have been to other seriously inferior LabCorps- you low-raters don't know a good thing when you see it! Let's face it - nobody enjoys being sick or having to give blood. But when life give you lemons, you put some sugar on it - not just eat it straight! I make the best of the situation by being nice to the staff and they are very nice to me in return. As someone who has to do blood work monthly, I certainly value finding a place I don't hate frequenting. So far, I've had 3 different people take my blood at this location and each one was great. The staff is polite and works quickly. I drop-in without an appointment (I've gone at various times, but avoided the lunch hour) and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The staff is extremely rude - they barked orders to elderly customers in incomprehensible English such that the check-in process became extremely confusing. They also failed to explain key testing procedures including protocols for at-home tests, and in fact provided false information that later had to be corroborated by another staff member. Furthermore, the location itself is old and run-down and does not feel sanitary at all. I asked for the manager's contact information and was provided with phone numbers that did not work. I also left feedback on their online portal but it likely went into oblivion... I honestly expected much better, especially after having been to the nearby location for Quest Labs, which was a much smoother and more comfortable experience. read more

Although the staff member is trying to do their best, the wait seems forever. Staff likely overworked and underpaid. QR code provided during online appointment reservation will not be utilized, instead you'll be doing paperwork during the visit. In the waiting area, there's a tv screen which airs labcorp procedure and policies they have to ensure safety. I give them 5-stars for hitting my vein with a single shot to draw my blood out. A tiny pinch is all the pain I can manage from any blood technician. However...2-stars for: ~ The big check-in window was kinda like getting a hot dog at a stand. ~ The small waiting area needed some sprucing, kinda reminded me of Bates Motel. ~ The bathroom for pee samplings was small and cramped. ~ The plastic grey chair to withdraw blood looked similar to a electric chair on death row. Service was nice. There's a jumbo size clock on the wall, you'll never need to ask what time it is. And I was in/out of there within 10 minutes. Fast and efficient. I came during the busy lunch rush and the clinic was equipped to shorten my wait. The check-in is online. The machine scans your ID, health insurance card and you type in all details needed. The receptionist pulled my doctor's blood test details and went through all the tests that were needed. The woman at the desk didn't seem with it (maybe English is her second language?) as she was super confused we were there for my son, who is 3yo, not me. She was not friendly in the least. She also immediately turned us down as I didn't have a print-out of the lab order (Hello! It's 2018 and everything is digital!). I said the doctor sent in the order directly to this lab at 4pm yesterday. She warned me that due to their "system" being down, they may not be able to help me. Thankfully they were able to see us, as his lab tests were a urgent matter. The office is a disgrace. They had holes in their ceiling. The waiting room is dank and had holes in the walls. The office behind the front desk looked like a disaster, papers everywhere. The space is certainly not ADA compliant -- I don't know how anyone in a wheelchair could navigate into the waiting room and definitely not into the tiny bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it was disgusting. (And I was there at 8am when they open, so you'd expect the bathroom to be clean.) The sink doesn't work!!! How is this not a health violation?! The bathroom window is sealed with plastic. Putting urine samples in a basket behind the toilet with other patients' samples is 1- disgusting 2- a privacy violation, no? 3- couldn't someone tamper with the samples? There were 3 other samples in the basket when we went in for the second attempt to give a sample (my son is 3 so we had to attempt more than once). I'm going to write a formal complaint to LabCorp about this location, and might even file a HIPPA complaint regarding their urine sample collection system. I've been to other Labcorps in the city and have been completely embarrassed by staff with no discretion. This location, however, was quiet, private and quick. The phlebotomist was smooth and gentle. She listened when I told her which arm I prefer and when I suggested she use a warm compress. She used a straight needle, rather than a butterfly (which is usually more comfortable), but she was very skilled and I felt virtually no pain or soreness after. I didn't pay too much attention the the way the office looked as a whole; the collection station was clean and that was enough for me. Plus, I wasn't there long enough to scope the place out. I'd come here again because of their efficiency, discretion and gentle, friendly phlebotomist. read more

Awesome experience being here. I didn't make appointment and walked in at around 8am on Thursday. There's only one lady in front of me. Not crowded. The front desk staff is very friendly and efficient. She asked me to give her ID and insurance card and she quickly looked me up in the system( My doctor already requested the exam online) The nurse who helped me do the blood draw is very nice, friendly, professional and efficient. The lab appears unclean and unsanitary. Hours of operation are such that I must take off work to use their services. I've arrived extremely early, only to be forced to wait for a long time. Came here on a Saturday and checked in on my phone. Waited for 30 minutes past my appointment time. After everyone who was arrived after me got admitted I asked the front desk what was going on. She told me the online check-in system didn't work. I told her she needed to put up a sign and she told me she couldn't put up a sign because it was a temporary location. I should have praised these hard working ladies at this Labcorp location months ago. I apologize for not doing so sooner. I went in an hour or so ago for blood work and continue to be impressed by the efficiency and courteousness of the technicians here. I personally want to thank Mary and Bahar ( spring flower in her native land ) for their excellent professionalism. I get a little anxious around needles so blood work is never easy for me. With the great care I receive here, it's over before I know it. These ladies are very efficient and skillful. That always makes lab work easier for us patients to endure. OMG. I found out yesterday that I needed to have one more blood test for my surgery that's scheduled Monday, and LabCorp was the only place that could turn around the test so quickly. I got there at 8:40AM and there were 12 people waiting in the minuscule lobby. I waited a few minutes and then was told to sign in. After I signed in I asked what was next and she told me to sit down and wait. Various people kept coming and going, lots of crises - no paperwork, wrong test done, people bitching about the wait, etc. There was no order whatsoever, and only two lab techs to take care of the hordes. You can hear the centrifuge in the background whirling around the tubes of blood.(shudder). I was seen after an hour's wait, and the blood draw was quick and painless. Too bad the place otherwise sucks balls. They need a consultant from Bain or McKinsey in here to help them figure out how to streamline the process. Ridic. read more

My experience here was traumatizing. I absolutely hate, hate, hate having my blood drawn but this was far worse than ever before (shaking a little bit just writing about it!). I went in, thinking I was just giving a pee sample. Then, all of a sudden I was in a desk-like chair about to have my blood taken. I insisted on laying down for the blood draw. They weren't particularly patient with me and... I fainted for the first time ever. I had fasted for the past 12 hours for this appointment and the combo of low blood sugar and the scariness really did me in. They get one star for giving me lollipops and letting me spend 1/2 the day on their table. I have been to much more comforting blood draws though! Ugh, I hate needles!!! read more

Eh. Ya know, I don't mind getting my blood drawn. Never have had a problem with needles. Hell, I'm in school for Oriental Medicine for goodness sake! But I will say that I can place my feet in other's shoes and I would find these people here completely lacking in compassion. When I'm in there they don't even care. They seriously just GO for your arm. No hesitation, no big breath in, they just plunge that sucker in there. Let's also mention that they aren't the friendliest. There is one girl there, darn I forgot her name!, who is a total sweetheart and very nice. The other girl, well, let's just say she has yet to smile in my presence and I've been there once a month for the last three months. I'm hoping every time I go in that she's found that twingy little smile of hers but damn to no avail. It's almost a game now, where I try to get it out of her. I'm rude, outspoken, making jokes, laughing, being sarcastic, hell even trying to negotiate with her. it just never produces. That's ok, it'll happen....one day. Plus side, they are quick. Drawing blood is never pleasant. Even if it's for a good cause, like checking one's vitamin, chemical, and metabolic balance. I do it once a year to be sure I am in equilibrium (wow, I didn't realize I knew such smart words). Today was the first time I used LabCorp to have a blood test done. It was ok. They open at 7:30 a.m. and no appointment is required. I was there at 7:38 and was 5th in line. The wait took longer than I expected, but I was out of there at 8:15. Lab rooms are very sterile and made me think I was in a hospital and not in an office building in Downtown. Solid 4 stars. Minus one for understaffing. read more

Basically without an appointment set one hour at least to get through the fact they're understaffed & are using paperwork for everything. If you've ever wanted to experience what it was like waiting for a loaf of bread in communist Russia, then I would highly recommend this Lab Corp. I always get there between 7:30 - 8:00 am because I need to fast before getting my bloodwork done. There is ALWAYS some crisis going on. The two people they have on during their busiest times always look like they hate their jobs more than satan and there's always some ridiculous "issue" with their system. I've literally attempted to get my bloodwork done like 3 times in the last month and have had to leave every time due to some crisis or stupidity. I actually feel bad for their staff - it's obvious the corporate office is cheap and doesn't give a shit about the patients. Horrible, horrible, horrible experience every time I go. I literally walked out of the place after being there for five minutes! Its so dirty inside, the recepionist seems like he hates his job and just doing something to get by. The lab technician who supposed to take your blood, doesn't seem to have showered for ages with very rugged clothes. She was covering the stains on her clothes with an over-sized white lab coat. I had to go here for bloodwork for my annual physical. Its bad enough having to come here to get poked with a needle, but the zombie like employees make it just a tad bit worse! They arent mean or rude..but just VERY detached. I have a ppo so they take your credit card, not sure exactly why. When i asked, the front desk zombie rattled out some answer so fast, i couldnt understand her at all. I work in the medical field and have a strong grasp on medical billing and even i was confused by what she said. THis place is totally cold and sterile. The employee's act like robots. I could see why this place would get bad reviews. The waiting room is pretty drab, the elevator ride up to the 25th floor is long with a lot of stops, and if I had to wait for more than 30 minutes, I'd sooner do my own blood test at home. I came in today (a Wednesday) around 1:50 pm and the place was empty. Aside from not having to wait, what made my experience positive was the staff. I came not knowing what would be covered by my insurance and what wouldn't. The staff also didn't know this, but they were very patient with me while I made phone calls to my insurance company and my doctor's office to find out how everything would be billed and (hopefully) covered by my insurance. This process took almost half an hour, which was fairly frustrating, but had nothing to do with the service provided by the staff at Labcorp. They were very courteous, encouraged me to find out what I needed to find out, and gave me all the information they had at their disposal in order to do this. I appreciated their help and friendliness, which made a relatively positive experience out of one that could have been downright demoralizing. read more

I'm not afraid of needles. I'm afraid of the people that are not adept at finding the right vein to draw blood from. I've fallen into the hands of phlebotomists who have treated me like a human pincushion enough times that whenever I go to have my blood drawn, I'm always apprehensive. Thankfully I had a great experience here. I'm sorry that I forgot to ask the technician's name - she was a very calm Filipina lady who had quick and steady hands and I barely felt the needle go into my skin. She was the only employee on site too...I went extremely early, right when the lab opened at 6:30am and suprisingly, there were already six people waiting. For one technician doing everything from paperwork to drawing blood, I was surprised at how fast she was overall...I was #3 in line, and I was out of there within a half hour. I don't know what hours would be the least busy since this is located next to Union Square and is perfect for those on the go to and from work. I imagine they would get a steady stream of people no matter what day of the week. read more
