I had to have a blood draw as part of a routine health exam. Made an appointment for the task at LabCorp in the 2100 Webster Medical Building in Pacific Heights. Convenient location (on the #1 Muni Bus line). I walked in and saw a huge number of people who were seated and waiting. I checked in on the upright kiosk. Done. Then I took the initiative to speak to the woman sitting the check in desk. She was a blood draw pro herself (I know there is a special term for this). She said they take walk ins. I said I had an appointment. I got to go ahead of all those walk-ins! Huge+! I had brought in my doctor's order/paperwork (although my doctor said the order would be transmitted to Labcorp; I've learned that it's expeditious to have it on hand). Paid a co-pay. Got invited into a room. The technician took the samples. Minimal discomfort. She was a PRO! Done and out the door in less than 10 minutes! Best to have an appointment if you think you're time is valuable. Imo: LabCorp technicians will help you get in & out; you just have to set everything up right. read more

I had made an appointment online for 1:45 Wednesday. I arrived a little before 1:25. I checked on their express check in. They didn't call me until after 2:12 to see what I needed today and copy my insurance card. I finally saw someone at 2:22 for one blood draw. That's almost an hour since I walked in. WOW I also saw people who were waitlist after me got because you can see the board got called before me. The people are nice. They're just very into their computer and the doctor's orders. Prioritize the appointments is my recommendation. Because what's the point of making one!!!!!!!! read more

Not sure if this individual is an employee at this store or another in SF but an African American man with a beard and this golden state warriors license plate illegally swerved over 3 lanes almost causing an accident and then proceeded to roll down his window and threaten me telling me to pull over so he can "beat my ass". He did this all in a company car, started from Lincoln way, turned on to crossover drive. Got off on Fulton and then came back onto park presidio still raging and came off intoxicated, and then turned off again on what I believe was Geary. Tried calling the office twice and no answer so leaving this review to keep others aware of this maniac on the road. read more

I do not do well with blood draws, but this was my second time seeing Trina and Labcorp. She communicates thoroughly through the process which eases my anxiety and takes time to find a vein before attempting the draw. After being poked and prodded by other practitioners I appreciate her attention to detail. Each time she's been able to draw blood on the first time. Facilities are clean and check in process is easy. read more

I really struggle with blood draws. It's very hard to find my veins which often leads to multiple jabs and me fainting. My recent draw at the 2100 Webster Labcorp was perfection! I asked for a bed and a butterfly on my hand/wrist. The nurse complied without hesitation, and it was all over in seconds. Barely any wooziness and not even a small bruise left. I wish I'd caught her name. Tall, Black woman. Amazing. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

This Labcorp has the slowest front office. The women behind the desk moved in slow motion. I felt like I was in a SNL skit. 25 minutes after my appointment time I'm still waiting. Plus I took the time to input my insurance information online before the appointment. They claim to not have it. Never again! read more

What kind of medical facility closes at 3 pm. Finished my doctor appointment and they gave me an order for lab work and said it was conveniently located across the street. I walked there, get there at 3:10, and find that they closed at 3 o'clock. They said they would be happy to see me at seven in the morning, so now I have to take more time off from work just to get my blood drawn. read more

Worst lab experience ever! After presenting all docs and waiting a long time the lab order was rejected because the dr did not put patients name on order. I called dr office they said we could just write it in. That didn't work so we did a confirmation by phone which the clerk accepted. We all know how people come in off the street and try to steal lab services. The main problem was that the patient i was helping has cognitive issues and the experience was very unnerving and confusing with zero empathy for the elderly patient. We were like 3rd in line but had to wait an hour and a half. Go anywhere but labcorp on webster! read more

This was one of the worst blood draw experiences of my life, and it was my first time going there. They took six samples, each a large one, and the nurse inserted the needle incorrectly, next to the vein instead of directly into it like before. It was the first time I'd ever felt pain during a blood draw, and the nurse just looked at me without asking why I was hurting. When I got home, my hand was swollen at the puncture site, and it got worse the next day. I'll attach a photo from the day the blood was drawn and the following day. read more

Very impressive polite support staff who quickly solved some issues. Nice office. Very pleased!

They are fast and efficient!!! Anna and Leila are always super!!! So kind and communicative!

What a great experience getting my blood drawn! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a lovely woman named Trina, who checked me in and made me feel completely at ease. She also ended up being the one to draw my blood--and she was phenomenal. I usually get really nervous about it, but Trina was so gentle and patient that the whole process felt quick and stress-free. Before I knew it, it was over! Even though this location is out of the way for me I'll definitely be going back in the future and request her each and every time. read more

Most polite lab staff I've ever met! Sweet, caring, great with kids! They were patient with children and they also work FAST. Fastest phlebotomists in the west!!! Also very accurate on small veins! Many could take notes from the staff work on 10/21/25. Kudos! I'll be back! read more

I had 8 tubes of blood taken (4-6 is normal) and no butterfly was used... towards the end, a major pain shot down through my arm to my fingers. He didn't stop. I almost passed out after (could've possibly been from the loss of blood, not the pain) and have not been able to straighten my arm for 3 days now, am still in pain, and have bruising. I've had blood taken many times before and never passed out or had bruising. I didn't read reviews before going there so who knows if this will help anyone - but if you are reading this make sure to ask for a butterfly lock on the needle so it's not dependent on the practitioner's steadiness of hand. And if you don't have a good feeling when you walk in, in general, walk out. read more

No reason not to give a 5 star! They had parking, and it's easily accessible from the below parking garage, the staff was very kind, helpful, patient and professional! We came for my 6yo sons lab test and they were phenomenal. They called us back 4 mins after we arrived. I'll only be using this lab going forward. read more

The care given at this lab is extraordinary. It runs on time, the staff are helpful and the phlebotomists are professional and very skilled. I want to specifically mention Leila, who has drawn my blood twice - both times without any pain and no bruising. My husband experienced this in her care as well. She is amazing. Sherry A read more

Once again, I find LabCorp to be my go-to when it comes to blood draws. I've been coming to this office pretty regularly when I need a blood test and I've never have to wait more than 5 minutes. Usually, I am done and out in 10-15 minutes max. All of the people in this office have been wonderful and I have never had a painful blood draw. (This is coming no from someone that HATES needles.) I definitely recommend this office compared to all others, and definitely prefer it to any Quest Diagnostic office which, for me, has usuallly had a longer wait time and a disorganized front desk. read more

I went to this location on 11/22/23 to have my bloodwork done and the women working here couldn't have been nicer! I have a phobia of needles and they were so empathetic and made this so quick/painless. Highly recommend. read more

I've been going to this location of LabCorp for the last few months for my pregnancy blood work. It is located in the same building as my OBs office, so it is very convenient. I usually park in the building's basement parking structure although parking can get pricey. The people here are very professional and hard working. In the past, it is often hard for people to draw my blood due to my small veins but they have not had any issues. They are friendly and going to get blood work isn't such a bad thing for me anymore. read more

I went this morning for a second visit & the phlebotomist, Pam, stuck me twice and was unable to find a vein. What was worse is that she was detached from the situation and didn't apologize. All she said was, "it happens." She then fetched a supervisor who was able to draw a sample on the first try. She continued to hover while the nurse-supervisor did the procedure. I said I didn't feel comfortable with her presence after what she had just done to me. She then muttered, "Wow". My first time was great: staff were kind and professional. My phlebotomist was a very personable and capable Filipina (sorry I didn't catch her name, but I'm grateful). These are anxious times and the clear incompetence & unprofessionalism of Pam is a major discredit to this clinic. Visit at your own risk. read more

They need to update their website. I checked prior to going there for my bloodwork to make sure they take walk-ins. I fasted, went in the next morning only to be turned away b/c I didn't have an appointment. Rude receptionist even had the audacity to imply it was "my fault" for not making an appointment. First of all, if you "messed up" you should try to accommodate the person you inconvenienced and second don't blame them for your website not being up to date. read more

This Quest Diagnostic office is located on the fifth floor of the CPMC Professional Building. Had to bring my mom here after two doctors visits for a blood test. The process was fairly easy. Put your name down on the list at the counter. Wait to be called to have your paperwork processed and then wait to be called in by a lab technician for the test. Office is not busy, the workers are friendly and the process is efficient. read more

The receptionist was exceptionally rude for no reason, ok I get it - it's 9:30am on a Monday but the questions I asked were super relevant to her job. I wanted to get the codes of my blood test so I can call insurance about how much it would be. Not only did she scoff at me, didn't understand what I was asking for and when she finally did it and I told her i was moving forward with my test, she made the ugliest face and threw her hands in the air.... dude, this is literally your only job :/ Other than that, the lady who drew my blood was extremely pleasant and she used a needle that didn't hurt me at all and she was nice to talk to and understood how stressful blood tests could be. I would come back for her but def not for the blonde highlighted, glasses wearing receptionist. Also noticed she was being rude to another customer and that customer and I just exchanged looks, glad to see that she was also mean to a few other yelpers so it's a consistent thing.... read more

So I went to QuestLab last week, as you can look at my profile and see my review of them (they were terrible to say the least) and had to find another lab, as I didn't get blood drawn at Quest bc of the extremely long wait time and misogynistic woman at the front desk, and just rude, unhelpful staff in general. Enough about them though, onto LabCorp, this location specifically. This LabCorp has very helpful, kind staff. They guide you through the process, make it easiest as they possibly can for you, and are very quick. I was in, blood drawn, and out within 20 minutes tops. The sign-in process is easy, and very obvious-- unlike Quest, where they expect you to know exactly what to do and get angry if you ask questions for instructions. Not here, here if you have a problem with signing in or anything, they are glad to help and are compassionate. I've come here probably 9 times in the last 5 years -- all previous were for routine lab work, this one was for a more stressful thyroid test that has been affecting me physically and emotionally so I remembered this Lab and thought YES, because I remember every single experience was like the last -- pleasant, easy, and quick with no mistakes. THANK YOU LABCORP!! For being so professional, courteous, and compassionate. I appreciate you! If you need bloodwork and want what I've described above, please, go to this LabCorp location, they're incredible. read more

Last minute blood work needed and the staff went above and beyond what was required to get me in without an appointment. I have angled veins and Val was able to get my blood on the first attempt. If you have difficult veins, ask for Val. She'll take care of you. Not sure about the negative comments left here, but every situation is different and from my brief time in the waiting room a lot of people came in thinking they had a crystal ball. They don't. But will work with you and your Dr's office to make sure the proper test are done. read more

No one likes to get their blood drawn, but this location is fantastic! This location is clean and has easy check-in kiosks so things run smoothly. Shout out to Albert who was friendly and efficient. Tesa at the front desk was amazing. I've been trying for two weeks to get my blood drawn to see if I'm a match to my brother who has cancer. However, at this location the receptionist was an Angel and helped me get in an out of there quickly. read more

This is my second time having blood work done at this location and the staff here are all very nice. Both times I made an appt and was given priority over walk ins. It takes about a minute to make an appt online and they have lots of appts available. Both times had my blood drawn by a very sweet and gentle black woman. I didn't get her name but highly recommend her. She's very quick and I was out of there in less than 5 minutes. My PCP office is in the office next door and this office is very convenient for me since I live a few blocks away. Front desk lady says it takes 2-3 business days to get results. read more

Most miserable receptionist ever. I had a an appointment with my doctor which is next to Labcorp. I didn't know I had to make an appointment for any lab work that my doctor ordered. Pre-covid, I would just check in and get it done after my appointment. I understand that they don't want people to gather in the waiting room so they're making everyone make appointments. But the room was EMPTY. Anyway, I went to CPMC lab in the lobby where they accept walk-ins. Their waiting room was organized for social distancing and faster, so you don't have to wait too long. And the receptionist was more professional. read more

I have a lumpectomy coming up. Came in today for blood work. I had the lab requisition in my phone because my doctor (whose office is next door!) emailed it to me. I got there early on Monday morning to get this over with and was told that they couldn't do the blood draw without the PAPER copy of the lab order. They could not print it for me. I could not email it to one of them to have it printed for me. The solution: I could -walk back to my car two blocks away (was lucky to get parking in this neighborhood.) -get in my car and drive SOMEWHERE to have it printed out -drive back to the hospital -find parking -walk back to office -hand them the slip to get the blood draw How is it possible in 2016 that this lab doesn't have an internet connection to receive email, they don't have a printer for patients to print lab orders out (if they can't find you in the computer) and no one had a way around this ridiculousness. All I could think was if this had been my mom when she was going through chemo for breast cancer or if I had a sick child or relative with me who needed the blood work, I don't know what I would have done. Not a difficult fix folks. The office manager told me that while it was a very "third world situation" and that I was "by no means the first person to run into this problem" that they hadn't developed a solution. I found one. DO NOT GO TO THIS LAB. The gal who did my blood work was nice, got it done with no problems but that was not the point. read more

Even if there's 10 people in the waiting room, I'm usually getting my blood drawn within 10 or 15 minutes. Came here to pick up a lab test. First time to this location. The front desk administration (blond woman in glasses) was one of the worst administrators I've met. Unclear instructions and rude. Im warning you do not go here!!! If I could give this awful place zero stars I would. I AM ABSOLUTELY LIVID!!! I've been to this lab for prenatal blood work more than few times. One time I had an older asian man, really wish I could remember his name. He was the WORST!! He couldn't find a single vein and poked both of my arms TWICE leaving horrible bruises that STILL have not gone away. He had to call in another woman who not only was able to collect my blood right away, but she said there was no suction in the tube the other man had used which was the problem the entire time. Seriously?! I decided to give them another chance and went again and for the last time. I just got a call from my doctor that they received my blood sample with NO PAPER WORK!!! Are you joking!! It's nice to know that paper work with my sensitive personal information just doesn't get sent to my doctor. Very questionable legitimacy of this business and malpractice. I will never go to any LabCorp ever again and will be following up with the Better Business Bureau. read more
