They can only do as much as they can up to closing time. As for the blood draw, the man who helped me was fantastic and so quick and kind and personable. Five stars for all staff! Less one star: -Could use more chairs for waiting. I know they already put as many chairs out as possible due to the small space -I feel bad for the seniors who don't know English because the receptionist didn't speak Chinese who I presume is the main language for the clientele here. Highly recommend this LabCorp location and Lisa specifically! I have such tiny veins and low blood flow. Usually I have to be stuck multiple times to find a vein. I always have a horrid experience. At this LabCorp location however, Lisa found a vein immediately and a good one too! I needed to have a lot of tests done and she got about 15 vials of blood in a few minutes. Due to the reviews, I was skeptical about getting my bloodwork done at any Labcorp location in the city. Still, I'm happy to say I had an enjoyable experience at this location. Went here with my mom for a lab work Tuesday morning. We didn't have an appointment following a doctor visit so it was busy and waited about 50 minutes. The office is small, seats about 7 chairs. There are restrooms available across the hallway from this office, which is key# coded. Some of the employees are bilingual (English, Cantonese, and Mandarin) Emily helped my mom with her blood work. My mom said she was really nice and did a great job, noting that she had never experienced such a quick and efficient blood drawing in one go. On a Thursday of April 2025, I arrived at the LabCorp in San Francisco Chinatown about five minutes before my 11:30am appointment time. There was only one lady in the waiting area, and one man being checked in. I waited for only a couple of minutes, before it was my turn to be checked in. I told the receptionist named Melinda, at the front desk, that I got lost. She smiled, and immediately assured me that they would surely take care of me. After having completed the necessary paperwork, I was told to have a seat in the waiting area, and in less than a few minutes, my name was called, and was promptly taken care of by a Herbert, who took blood from my arm in a record time that I have ever experienced. My appointment was early morning mid-June 2023 at 728 Pacific. The service was on time. I was sent to Room 2. When the lady pulled the needle out my arm, she did not put the pressure properly. The lady I got seemed to be on her third month of the job and I knew it was trouble as soon as she spent the first five minutes of my appointment trying to feel my veins and switching back and forth with which arm to attack. First try on my left arm (because I'm a righty) she just poked me no blood came out. Then she moved to my right arm and blood came very slowly... She barely could fill up the tubes. I tried the LabCorp on Pacific for the first time. I was disappointed at the long line ahead of me and the ultimate wait. The wait became less of an issue as I was able to observe phlebotomist Emily F - who appeared to be the only phlebotiist there - with her patients. Emily F was a delight to watch. She greeted each patient with such sincere warmth - her smile clearly shone through her mask. She thoughtfully escorted the elderly patients to the door. When she finally called me, she greeted me warmly and clearly showed she cared about my comfort. I am not a fan of going to labs, but meeting Emily F turned the experience into a joyful one. In addition, Emily F is an excellent phlebotomist - her needle stick was one of th least painful I've ebver experienced. No appointment needed - I came in around 11am on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. They called me in within 5 minutes after they filled out some paperwork. So here is the crazy part - I have avoided getting my blood test done for months because I HATE needles and blood. And yes, I have passed out from a blood test before so I was really scared and freaking out at the same time when I came in to get this test over with. The lady that drew my blood (I think she was Filipino) was the sweetest. I let her know that I might pass out or get dizzy, and she brought me to a room where I could lay down to get my blood drawn. She kept me calm by talking to me and told me I could listen to music if I wanted. She would ask if I was okay, and another lady working there checked up on me too. She tried drawing blood from my non dominant arm (which I preferred), but my veins were too small.. so she had to try from my right arm and was successful. Whole blood draw process took about 15-20 minutes. The only pain was the small pinch from the needle and my arm did not bruise at all after. Needle-phobic? Book here and ask for Keisha! Total needle-phobe here...So much so that i always put it off, sometimes going multiple years between annual physicals/blood draws. Most phlebotomists are understanding but never "helpful" in making it a good experience. My experience with Keisha at this locations was the very best experience i have ever had. Normally i am in tears through a draw and it impacts the rest of my day, but Keisha was incredible and talked me through the whole thing, talked me through breathing, and by the time it was done i was not crying and felt like i could go about my day. Honestly, labcorp should indicate sites and phlebotomists that work will with needle-phobic patients. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. I actually get my hair cut in this plaza, and I was quite surprised to see that a Labcorp location was here. When you enter the plaza, take a left turn and you will need to take the elevators to the 4th floor to get to the lab. I'm not sure what the other review here is talking about in regards to the facility being dirty, because it is very clean and organized. The tech verified my insurance quickly and saw me right away. He found a good vein instantly, drew my blood, and bandaged it up. The whole process took no more than 10 mins, and I had absolutely no bruising. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

Abysmal customer service, even with an appointment. I had to wait for about 15 minutes in a line four-deep when I arrived early for my scheduled appointment. There was no staff to be seen, nor was there even a quick acknowledgement that someone would be there shortly to help me. When the check-in nurse finally did come around she did not apologize for the wait and her tone was brusque. She was so harried and busy that I was trying to make sure she was matching up the correct vials and draws to my lab slip, which LabCorp usually double-checks for. I noticed she also left my lab slip and a copy of my insurance card on her desk in plain view of others, completely unattended, which I'm sure is in violation of professional standards. The same nurse took my blood sample. Her customer service skills are, frankly, deplorable. She was extremely rude and unpleasant, as anytime I commented on anything or asked her a question she would make a snide, condescending reply. For example, when I tried to roll up the sleeve of my sweater and realized I would have to pull it off instead because it was too tight to roll up, she actually told me, unsolicited, that I should have thought to wear a different sweater that day. I understand that she was having a busy and stressful morning, but treating patients with even a modicum of respect would go a long way to making them feel welcome in an often confusing or scary environment like a laboratory. read more

The person who runs the place (and does both the blood draws and the paperwork, as well as everything else) is great: Extremely professional, efficient, courteous, and pleasant. As far as bloodwork goes, this is pretty much as good as it gets. The people who work here are very sweet, friendly, & quick! Had to get 9 tubes of blood drawn and it was PAINLESS. Chan is very good at what he does. We had a casual/funny conversation about some tv shows which kept me distracted throughout the entire process. Before I knew it, it was over. YAS. As long as I'm in SF, I'll be going to this location for all of my labs. Side note: I went around 10am which is actually one of the busiest times so just keep that in mind. Either make an appointment, go earlier in the morning, or go at a random time in the afternoon to skip the wait. However, if you really feel inclined to go around 10am, I waited about 15 minutes which isn't bad either. read more

I had to get blood drawn and this was as easy and painless as it gets. I Yelped all LabCorp locations and I could've gone to the Van Ness location which is closer to home but their reviews are atrocious. So I hopped on a bus for a 5 minute bus ride to Chinatown and I'm glad I went to this location. It was fast, easy and painless, I can see why they have great reviews. I didn't get the gentleman's name at the front desk but he was courteous and well mannered. Edward who drew my blood was just as well mannered and he knew what he was doing. That's the last thing I want is someone tapping away, looking for a vein. I would definitely come back to this location in the future. *UPDATED REVIEW So I had blood drawn 3 WEEKS before my next doctor's appointment. It turned out that my results were never forwarded to my doctor. Was sitting at the doctor's office waiting for them to fax it to her. NEVER go here. They are incompetent. They had no idea what the test codes were. They called for support and the support guy could not understand them. They had to spell the words before he could understand them. Then their computer system went down and they had to get support on test codes.
