Wow! I can't say enough about this place. Like a lot of Labcorp locations they're busy & even with appointments you may have to wait a bit. There's only so much they can do with their patients loads. I experienced an unusual (for me) situation while there. Was fasting & quite a few tubes of blood drawn & I began to feel faint. First for me with a blood draw! Lucia, Blake (I believe), & Natalia took such great care of me! They were so kind & even though it was the end of a busy day for them, they kept a close eye on me & kept me comfortable & didn't make me feel rushed on any level. Also, on another note, Lucia's needle stick was one of the most painless I've ever had! Huge thanks to all of them! read more

I'm giving this Labcorp one star because there is one kind worker there- Bertha. But today I had the worse experience and a woman by the name Lucia- had me shaking. I had an appointment at 8:30- when I inquired at 8:45, Lucia blew me off-, I inquired again at 9:00 after seeing people with 9:00 appointments go before me, Lucia yelled at me rudely. I was visibly shaking. Luckily I was able to ask for Bertha to draw my blood. I hope the manager of this establishment (Renee) reads this and does something about Lucia's behavior. read more

I was able to book an appointment in the morning of. For a 930 draw. Was in and out within 10 minutes. The phlebotomist was absolutely amazing and sweet, I would recommend Lola for any draw. The office was very clean and sanitary. Will be definitely going back here. read more

Worst and very unfriendly place. I made an appointment for 7:30. Waited more than 45 minutes read more

I should have looked at the reviews and requested another site or maybe Quest Diagnostic. This place is a mess on a Friday. Just one big stinking hot mess. From the inefficient check-in process to the chaos that happens beyond the door - how does this place stay in business? Sat for an hour waiting for a blood draw - watching others that arrived after me getting in before me. That's just annoying. And when you ask a question - you get nastiness in return. Not my fault that your systems don't work - but they sure annoy the crap outta me. They have the monopoly in this building - no competition - so they are as free to do what they want. If there is an opportunity to go to another facility - do it. You sit in that room just getting more annoyed at the inefficiency of LabCorp. read more

This is a great LabCorp location. I love the checkin process. I've never had to wait. Staff are also always super efficient and friendly. Way better than the adjacent Quest draw site in this building and less of a wait than a Kaiser site. Tip: If you go early in the AM there is usually street parking available across Washington so you don't have to pay for the garage since they don't validate parking. read more

This Labcorp is the worst! you get your lab work done then they don't send results, you call and can never get anyone on the phone and they never call you back. worst customer service ever read more

Super quick if you have an appointment & everyone is always very kind and helpful. I'm currently pregnant and have had to go often for blood draws and samples and it's always pain free and a breeze. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The address on their website is wrong, their staff were rude and dismissive and condescending. I was treated very rudely while doing the test, almost felt like a criminal, and my test results are very late. They said I would get them Thursday at the latest, it's already Friday 3:30pm, and since they're closed over the weekend, I'm sure with any luck, I will hear from them Monday at the latest. Terrible, avoid. read more

Seems that a lot of people are not happy according to the Stars but, I've only had good experiences and all the years I've been coming here to get my annual blood draw Panel test. My phlebotomist today was Jocelyn who is very comedic and use the tiny needle which I always ask for and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. What more can you ask for? The people that work here are friendly and very professional. The best part is no bruising . The best way to get in and out is make an appointment that's when I arrived they were 10 people that were all walk-ins and we're told that it was a two to three-hour wait and out they walked. I highly recommend this place never had any issues. Lucky me ;p read more

Labcorp - Laboratory Testing Near Me - San Diego, California

Rude phlebotomist gave me a hematoma and they don't answer their phone. They obviously don't care about people with special needs.

I have been here a few times and always had great experiences. I checked in myself at a kiosk. Get called within 5 minutes - every time I was there. I was in and out within 15 minutes or less. The staff is great. Always treated me with respect & courteous. They are very professional, I hardly felt anything when getting my lab works done here. read more

I chose this location to have my 11-year-old son's labs drawn. Parking was very easy in the attached garage. Take the elevator to the lobby and LabCorp is right there. Check in was a breeze. Zero wait time. As soon and I completed self check in, we were called straight to a station. I WISH I'd taken the name of the woman who drew my son's blood because she was fabulous. My son has had some really bad experiences with previous blood draws, and she was a calming presence. She explained that she would use the smallest needle, and all he had to do was breathe and hold very still and it would be over with. He did so well! It was the FIRST blood draw that he admitted was okay. read more

This place is awful. I had to bring in four stool samples - one stored in freezer - one refrigerated - and two room temp I believe. All were delivered personally by me. They claim I didn't deliver all which is infuriating. They take zero responsibility. And I do not have the results from this useless facility. read more

Terrible experience. 3 different staff people couldn't do my blood draw. The second person tried to draw from a vein on my right hand - painful AF! I said I would leave and come back later after drinking more water. She insisted the 3rd person would be successful. That person said they could only prick me 4X; she had me lay down and after the 4th attempt on my right arm (again unsuccessful) I was panicking. I again, insisted I would leave and come back - but she proceeded to poke me a 5th time!!!!! Again - unsuccessful. I left feeling traumatized and in pain. HELL NO I didn't return. AND NEVER WILL TO THAT LOCATION. Instead, I went to my HRT provider's office the next week for my regularly scheduled blood draw, and unexpectedly proceeded to have a nervous meltdown when they were preparing me for the procedure! Thanks for the PTSD, LabCorp! The nurse at the HRT Office was very sympathetic when I explained my fears, and gently showed me she would use the thinnest needle - the butterfly needle. She got it done easy breezy in the first try with no pain. Get it together LabCorp!!!! (Review is actually ZERO STARS for the Hillcrest location.) read more

LabCorp is amazing!!!! Would not go anywhere else! I believe in their passion of improving health and improving lives!

This place is just ghetto. The front desk ladies have ZERO customer service and are extremely rude. I get we are all pushing towards a quick and easy technology based methods. However, the majority of your patients are going to be elderly people who have ZERO knowledge of a small iPad. It isn't going to hurt you to go out of your way to be compassionate. Then you have the two workers in the front basically going out at it since there seems to be ZERO organization with what they are doing. Seriously. Get an office manager, new staff and clean this place up. Also, the lack of privacy is insane! You have people checking in at their front desk kiosks while talking insurance and financial responsibilities with another patient right in the middle. Seriously. It's giving me anxiety sitting in here. Embarrassing. Get out of the medical field if you can't show patience and respect. read more

Take a look at my after picture. I certainly feel violated. The place looks nice and the staff was friendly but the phlebotomists don't know what the fck they are doing. I have a LOT of bloodwork over the last 2 years and well no one has been so horrible. The lady Elaina stabbed around over and over. I wanted to grab it and do it myself. It took a lot of self restraint not to punch her. I later found out if they can't find your vein after 2 attempts you can ask for a different phlebotomist. The problem with that is she stuck it in once and dug all around jabbing in all different directions. Then she FINALLY gets it and after goes "you ok"? NO I AM NOT i felt completely violated and was very angry. I will NEVER EVER go back there, if my Dr gives me more labs which I am sure will well I am making damn sure it won't be labcorp read more

There's a reason why this place has 45 Reviews and an average rating of 2.5 Stars. 2ndly, you really have to wonder about a place that has 45 reviews most of which are all 1 and 2 Stars and then there's a handful of 5 Star reviews sprinkled in???? What is up with that? Where are all the 3 and 4 Star Reviews? I'll let you connect the dots on that one. All I can say, is Rudeness, Impatience and Brutal Customer Service are the Top of Order at the Labcorp - Hillcrest. I get my blood labs done every 3 months, so I know the drill. This place does not miss a box in the checklist of "How NOT to Serve your customers." And given that Quest Diagnostics is on the same floor, in the same building and just a few extra steps down the hall, save yourself the headache, abuse and poor service and go to Quest. read more

I was very happy with my experience here. Although I walked in at the end of the day, they were still accodomating and patient, as well as for the others patients who walked in after me. Considering how busy they were, they got me in relatively quickly. I mentioned that I have a tendency to faint (vv response / POTS). So, they had me lay down. Unfortunately, I still reacted, when I tried to sit up. Elaine V. and Claudia V. sat with me for a long time, held my hand, told me jokes until my partner could come by. They gave me water. And the manager, Kelly G. draped me with a lab coat, because I was shivering from my response. Everyone was sweet, calm and ensured that I felt good enough to leave. I did end up going to the ER straight after to get a liter of water. Anyway, I was impressed by how my response was handled with patience, understanding, and care that was provided. I highly recommend this LabCorp for your future blood draws. Parking: If you have to go into the 4060 building, I always recommend parking in the outdoor lot on the right side. It's less expensive and much more convenient than the garage. read more

A quick THANK YOU to the folks at LabCorp on 4th Avenue, especially Tais. The other day was my annual physical exam which was a jam-packed day for me. My primary care physician ordered my annual blood work with LabCorp. Generally, I would schedule an appointment to accommodate their calendar; however, yesterday was the exception and in I walked, checked in at the Self-Service Kiosk, and signed in at the front desk manned by Tais. I explained my physician had sent me for my annual blood work. I explained I was not trying to jump ahead in line, but that I had another medical appointment which I would need to leave for shortly. Without explaining my entire medical history, because that is not necessary for the purpose of this review, Tais accommodated my physician's blood work and got me on my way with plenty of time to spare. The folks at LabCorp are consummate professionals and are very dedicated to taking care of their patients. This location is always busy, given its proximity to the many healthcare providers in the building and around the neighborhood. My final word of advice -- always, do your best to schedule an appointment when you are able to do so. This insures you will be seen in a timely manner, otherwise, you will wait until the lab requests slow down. Again, thank you to the folks at LabCorp on 4th Avenue - I appreciate your taking care of me. read more

was a patient at a Doctor on the seventh floor. He ordered a blood test and informed me of the Labcorp on the first floor of the building (4060 4th ave, San Diego). Experience had a rocky start. Was entering my information into the check-in kiosk when a lady behind the plexiglass screen at the desk grabbed the kiosk, twisted it out of my hand and attempted to take over the entry. Took back control of the check-in device, finished the questionnaire and had a pleasant conversation(to answer additional questions) with the other attending technician. All was good. was told to enter after a short wait and I was breathing a sigh of relief thinking the the Pleasant Lady was going to draw my blood. Instead, Her Rudeness quickly stepped over to take control. I made a statement that as busy as they were, she should be able to take my blood with minimum pain (do not like needles). She stated that they do over 100 draws a day. I relaxed somewhat. However, as I watched her looking for a vein, continuing to press on my arm searching for a suitable landing site, the dread returned. Finally, she made an attempt which was a complete failure. She missed the vein completely and hit a dry hole. I had had enough. I told her that I was not going to give her another shot at it; that I would go to the lab that I have visited previously, where I had had successful withdraws. Upon returning home, I called the Billing department to make sure that they did not charge my insurance for a service I did not receive. Told my story to a nice Lady on the phone who made sure that she had all of my information. She tried to call the Lab but, of course, no answer. She could not get in touch with them either. She ended up sending them a message. That is where it now stands. Life is full of frustrations. Now I have had another plus a sore arm. Good help is hard to find. read more

I just want to say that if their drivers are any indication of how this company is being run then we (general public) are in big trouble. Earlier today I was enjoying a particularly nice drive into Hillcrest (emphasis on the "was") when this jerk decides to run the red light. Honestly, mistakes happen all the day BUT he was looking down to what I am assuming was his phone. Luckily I was able to slam on my brakes just in time, because you know, I WASN'T looking at my phone. I called costumer service and asked to speak to a manager and they have yet to call back to file a report. So here are snapshots of the video my dash cam took. read more

I was sent here by urgent care to have bloodwork done because their nurse couldn't find my vein - so I already had a small bruise from the first try. No big deal, at least she didn't keep trying and make it worse. I've had good experiences with blood draws at other labs so I assumed this would be the same. I was so wrong. The tech at Labcorp (surely this couldn't have been a true phlebotomist?) used a butterfly needle and then proceeded to stick me IN THE EXISTING BRUISE and then ROOT AROUND with the needle! Because they don't use vacuum tubes to collect the blood, I got to writhe around like a fish on a line while she continued to mangle my arm. I've had some bad blood draws before but this is the first time I've almost vomited from the pain. I still have a huge green and yellow bruise and it's been 10 days since this happened. Supposed to have the results in 3-5 business days. I called the urgent care place on the 5th day and they still had nothing, so they contacted Labcorp. Turns out they'd had my results they just hadn't sent them! Not only that, but they somehow managed to leave off the thyroid panel ordered by the doctor when I *finally* did my results back. I don't know if I just managed to land here during amateur hour or what, but it all adds up to a staggering lack of professionalism. Avoid this place! read more

I went for a walk in around noon to get some blood drawn, I was in and out in just a little under an hour which I thought was pretty good considering I didn't have an appointment. I'm really afraid of needles and usually cry before the needle even touches me, the lady who took my blood was very fast and professional and verbally comforted me a bit which I really appreciated. Overall took her maybe 45 seconds first try. I was freaked out about the bad reviews but the kiosk check in is so fast and efficient as was my whole experience especially without an appointment. Felt compelled to leave a review so if you're a nervous person like me, you know it's not as bad as some of these reviews make it out to be. read more

I don't usually have a lot of blood work but I have been to this clinic 3 times in the last 5 months. They are always happy and welcoming no matter what time I come in. I have rolling veins and usually end up bruised when having blood drawn. Joseph is great and very gentle! After the first time I requested him the next 2 visits and I haven't bruised once!
