Me and the rest of the patients in the lobby were all chatting about how this is the nicest labcop we've ever seen. All of us have been to other locations and agreed they were pretty sketchy for whatever reason, but not this one. Easy appointments, really sweet staff (Lola was just lovely) and great hours. Don't believe what you read online they open at 6 am. Wish i had known that before missing work to come in. read more

I was a little nervous to go to this location because of all the bad reviews but when I showed up, I didn't have an appointment. I was able to use the Kiosk to check in without any issues the technician Colin was able to verify my lab order and insurance information and then quickly brought me back. I was in and out within 10 minutes, and the technician was so good at the insertion of the needle that it didn't hurt at all. read more

Typical lab draw place. Make an appointment for less wait time. I was in and out with in 10 min. Fast friendly and efficient staff. read more

Worst employees I've ever dealt with at a company. I checked in and confirmed I had an order for a genetic blood test. An hour and a half later we are called up and the employee says that we should just leave because they never actually got the order?? So unprofessional, with no apology. What a strange and awful location. Never go here. read more

I had to visit Labcorp to obtain a background check for work, that includes a drug test. There was nothing out of the ordinary from the check-in process to the testing. They just took a sample as most labs do. They didn't try to make unnecessary conversation, which I appreciated. However, for reasons unknown to me to this day... I felt very nauseous at the lab. I ended up going to the ER because my symptoms did not get better afterwards. I also left my state ID behind, which I didn't realize until a few weeks later and called back to confirm. They could have let me know that they still had my state ID when I was checking out after the lab appointment. read more

worst labcorp location! staff are rude and unhelpful. they let me wait in their office for over an hour after i asked them about getting labs done for genetic testing. they said yes, we have your lab order. an hour goes by, turns out they never had it and decided to just let me sit there forever as a disabled person... after i had confirmed with them that they "had" my order...disgraceful place. rude people. i hope they all get stuck in traffic on their way home today because they are evil pos!!!!!! edit: you better look into the issue!!! This fat lady at the front desk was practically laughing in my face as she told me she didn't have my lab order!!! read more

I keep calling and leaving messages asking what is going on with my test results. Nobody ever returned my calls. I paid hundreds of dollars for lab tests. I have not received my results. They are days late. Nobody calls me back and nobody answers the phone. read more

I have gone to labs in Los Angeles and Florida for my family members but this was my first time in San Diego. The labcorps in other cities/states are awful you can tell right when you walk in the employees don't want to be there the vibe is strange they are extremely rude. I was so nervous and anxious about my bloodwork appointment today mostly because of the customer service you have to deal with when you do these things (think dmv) This labcorp in hillcrest ROCKS!!! Elvie and the other girl who works there are absolutely incredible. They were busy but didn't let that stop them from being so kind to patients. When I first checked in on the automated machine I entered something wrong and they happily came around and helped me instead of rolling their eyes or not wanting to get out of their chair. This location really deserves 5 stars. I know a lot of people only write reviews when it's a complaint but i wanted other people to know how great this location is so they don't feel the way I did about getting my blood drawn. Elvie also drew my blood so quick I didn't even feel the needle at all. She's the sweetest tech and Adrianna too! Great job girls!! Keep up the awesome work I see you and appreciate the kind customer service thank you for being so patient in such a busy and hectic world. Also I'd to note this isn't the closest labcorp to me.. I actually drove to this location which is 20 mins away from my house (and I have a labcorp closer) because I saw the decent yelp reviews here and figured my experience would be better and that mattered to me and I was right! read more

I recommend going first thing in the morning here around the time they first open if you need to complete lab work. THEY ACCEPT WALK INS. Make sure you have your paperwork or else you will have to email it to them depending on what it is. The staff seemed pretty polite and got me in and out in under 20 minutes. Thanks Labcorp for making the process simple! read more

Unfortunately I have nothing bad to say about this place. 5 stars for easy and fast service. I arrived 5 mins before opening and was 4th person there. I checked in with my drivers license on the kiosk and waited a few minutes to be called to verify payment and why I was there. A few mins later, I was called to draw blood. Blood draw went quickly and smoothly. I was in and out in 15 mins flat. There is nothing bad I could say about this place. read more

I did a walk in at 800 AM for an employment drug screen. They were quick to see me and Beatrice was extremely professional and kind. Minus 1 star for the parking. I don't think they validate for their lot. No free street parking by the area either .Fortunately did find free street parking a couple blocks down because I left early and circled the block a couple times. read more

If you have billing issues with these guys that need to be resolved through Medicare, prepare for a nightmare. Your best bet at that point is to pay the bill. I just got off the phone with someone in billing. It was incredibly noisy in the background. I had to repeat myself several times. I told her about the issue. I'm not. Sure, if she couldn't understand me, or just ignored what I was saying. Finally, I asked for a supervisor, and she hung up on me. read more

The check-in experience here needs an overhaul. No one greets you as you come in, so you use the kiosk to check yourself in. You wait, and wait and wait, and finally when they realize they haven't yet acknowledged you, they finish checking you in. Myself and another waited 30 mins past our appts wondering why people were walking in and being seen. They then realized they were two appts behind and we continued to wait until we could be seen. The workers do their best, but there is obviously an issue with the process that isn't being addressed. This is the second time this has happened to me in as many visits. It just takes a little more awareness on the part of the company to address the problem internally, because multiple people in multiple visits shouldn't have the same issue. read more

Walked in at 11:35am because the automated phone service says they take urine walk-ins until 12 pm. Woman at the desk refused to take me because according to her they stop at 11:30am. I explained that the automated service stated it was until 12pm and she was rude and said it was wrong. She made an exception for the gentleman right in front of me but couldn't for me even when I explained I drove 30 minutes. read more

I had an appointment and it was addressed right away when I arrived on time. The staff was quite pleasant. The blood draw that I had from G was amazing. Painless. Quick. I have been there before a few times. Every time is the same. So I plan to keep going there ! read more

It's always fun when your time pops up for random drug testing for your job. This was my first time at this location. They have a parking lot that they don't validate and you may pass as the entrance is hidden or you try and find a meter on the street. Once you arrive they have an express check in which explains step by step how to check in. You can make an appointment online however they are necessary and go on first come basis. The staff was nice if you talk to them but, they never acknowledged patients unless they were being spoken to which is why I took off a star. The entire process was quick and easy. I love taking test I don't have to study for and am guaranteed to pass with flying colors! read more

Elvie and Andreana helped me check in (I'm a senior citizen and the computer check in wasn't working) Kind, fast, efficient, G took my blood, she was perfect, no discomfort at all, also fast, efficient and personable. It was a busy morning and everyone was greeted in a timely, kind manner, the wait was not long because of the staff's efficiency. read more

They charged me for Six expired billings till I made it clear I was not liable and then they relented

Booked an appointment today for a drug screening. The check-in process was straightforward using a mobile device. The care quality I got was outstanding since I was 1st in line. Wonderful staff. In and Out less than 15 minutes. The parking is a little bit challenging since it is metered. So I suggest coming early to manage it. I'll recommend this branch. read more

These workers have serious issues lol very miserable people. I was taking a drug test for my new employer, after waiting almost 2 hours they finally called me back. When we went to the bathroom, she was holding the cup and just standing there so I nicely asked her. Are you going to give me the cup so I can take my test. She snaps back " do you want to listen to my directions first " as if I don't know how to pee in a cup lol then we return to the room and I asked her if I could grab my purse and my keys, and all of my things that I was instructed to sit down earlier and she said yes, she was holding my passport while I was taking the drug test so I picked it up by the computer and she goes "I didn't tell you you can get your passport yet" like she has some legal authority over my passport lol. Y'all need to go meditate or something. A bunch of miserable weirdos read more

Understaffed. Overcrowded to the point of people sitting outside in the hallway. Impossible to reach by phone.

I have been here twice, it's not bad if you have an appointment. However they called me on a Friday afternoon to let me know they will not be open the following Monday and to not come in for my appointment. I was told if I came the next day when they opened they could most likely see me. I showed up at 7:00 right when they opened and they never opened the doors. I was waiting outside with a number of people for 30 minutes until we eventually all left. We all had to head to the nearest lab corp and wait for a walk in. They had nothing posted anywhere about not being open. read more

Outstanding staff! I was in a hurry due to a miscommunication with my doctor and the staff member, who was working alone, understood my dilemma and rushed to get me checked in and my blood drawn as quickly as possible while also taking care of multiple other customers. I just feel like it's so rare these days to find an employee who really cares and gives their best effort. She really made my day by going the extra mile! And I made it to my doctors appointment on time too! read more

(1) There is a giant cockroach by the sign-in sheet- makes me worry about cleanliness. Photos attached. (2) Showed up before 7am when they open to find there is already a line of 7 people. Only one person handling both desk check-ins and blood draws and she can't do everything- they need to add staff. (3) I had a stat test. They are supposed to be called in for processing and results back within 4 hours. My blood was drawn at 7am and they did not even call the courier to pick it up for processing until noon! My procedure was delayed a day because of this. I am so upset with them. read more

Was in and out in 10min. The person at the front desk (black bob) was rude and incomprehensible, but the one who did my blood work (piercings) was super nice and did an amazing job. I have very small veins and easily faint, I barely felt a thing even though she had three viles to fill. Overall a very good experience. read more

Update: she found a vein like a superstar. And to be fair, she really is overwhelmed. There is no front desk person she's literally the only person there. She is handling the number of people really well. So far not good. Came in and front desk person was on the phone. She didn't even look at me. Clipboard said to sign in, but to fill out a form if it's your first time. No form to fill out anywhere. I sat down. When she got off the phone she helped someone and when she was done, since she still hadn't even acknowledged my presence, I said "I don't have an appointment." Her reply was that it would take her a minute, there were two people in front of me, she was the only one here today, etc. I said "I wasn't complaining. I was just telling you I don't have an appointment." Since I am a very hard stick I am not looking forward to her trying to find a vein. She seems very frazzled and unfriendly. I can't leave because I have to get these tests done today. Thoughts and prayers accepted. read more

THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE WHOLE FACILITY. ASK FOR A FEMALE PHLABOTIMIST and YOU'LL BE SAFE! I've been here a dozen times and the women are great. It's always the same three ladies and there kind and make it quick and easy. I'm not a fan of getting blood drawn and there always amazing. They have a newer staff member who's a male with an heavy accent, who talks about his new born girl when he draws your blood. BEWARE! I've never screamed so loud in public, from pain/lack of attention from someone drawing my blood. I get blood drawn very frequently and have never had this experience. After 15 minutes of a draw, I thought I was going to faint, so I asked him to stop. This is 5 days after I attempted to have blood drawn, by him. My arm is equally as sore as when I left, and he never once said anything like "Sorry, etc". read more

Went in for an antibody test at my appointed time. Filled out all the paperwork ahead of time. They were unable to process the $10 payment. They said it was their third-party payment processor. But they told me there would be no charge if I have the doctor fax a prescription. My doctor did it 30 minutes later. He also sent it to me so I refaxed it as well. It's now eight days later. I have heard nothing. They don't respond to emails or phone calls. Use another lab if you can. read more

The staff at Lab Corp is the best. If you need to have blood drawn & want a pain free experience, go here.

I have no idea why there are bad ratings for this lab. I had a great experience. I waited only minutes for my turn. The staff were kind and helpful. I have extremely small veins, but the phlebotomist (I should have gotten her name) found one easily. I am very impressed by the fact that I have NO bruising. I usually always end up with one, and I have one on my other arm from a lab draw I had elsewhere the day before. Bruising is normal for me, so I wouldn't dock rating if I had a bruise, but this was an added bonus! I won't hesitate to return. read more

Elvee, LV? Barked at me as soon as I walked through the door, no good morning or greeting of any kind just an abrupt "sign the sheet"!! This lady needs some serious training in customer service. I do not appreciate her talking loudly about the details of my blood work in front of other patients. She has the bedside manner of a disgruntled employee who obviously doesn't want to be there. Why she has any interaction with the public is completely beyond me.There is absolutely no possibility of me ever going back to this location. read more

A phlebotomist "Stephanie Z" did my daughter's blood draw today and the whole experience was exceptional. This woman is a pro at a level I've rarely seen, other than perhaps seasoned surgery nurses and anesthesiologists. My daughter, who is phobic about blood draws after having a bad experience with an IV years ago, said she didn't even feel the needle go in. Stephanie talked her through it from start to finish and took the time to make her feel comfortable and supported. Sometimes you encounter someone in the medical profession who is truly gifted and caring, way beyond the norm. You know it's their calling, not just their job. This woman, Stephanie, is definitely one of these persons. As a parent, I will be forever grateful to her for making this experience so positive for my child. read more

Made an appt for 10:15. Its 10:55 and still not seen. WHY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT??? I'm parked at a meter and can't leave bc they may call me. Hey! LABCORP! You need more staff!! Two women working at the desk, one if whom is also doing the blood draw, is poor business practice. read more

I don't know why the reviews are bad here. I haven't had any issue with any lab work. The only thing that bothers me is I have been going recently for a bunch of prenatal stuff. I know how my insurance works and I know all of my prenatal labs are covered at 100%. They always want to capture my card to charge me whatever they are estimating my charges at. I politely tell them that my insurance covers all of my prenatal labs and they can bill me, if I am wrong. I'm not a fan of how you check in, you have to sign in then go over and use the electronic check in. They then call you up and ask you to again verify your insurance and information. I'm that's what I just did on the electronic kiosk. I have had better experiences at other labs. Generally the phlebotomists are friendly and helpful. I just don't like there system of checking in and the trying to take money. Oh they don't accept cash, card only. read more

OK; so getting bloodwork done is never exactly pleasant, but the main thing you want is to be able to get in and out and get on with your day. That was not an option today. I went to the LabCorp I usually go to on 4th, but their computers were down, and apparently have been down for FOUR DAYS, and they said it would be over an hour wait. So, I decided to try out the LabCorp on 3rd Ave. Not much better. There was only 1 employee in the entire facility, who was checking people in, getting their paperwork, taking insurance cards/payment, then taking you back and taking your blood. I felt like I was in one of those Saturday Night Live spoofs of the no-frills airlines, where the guy takes your luggage at the curb, then you go to check in, and it's the same guy, flight-attendant: same guy, and pilot: you guessed it. Any way, she was very pleasant, but since there was only ONE of her, it took me an hour to go back for my 5 seconds of bloodwork, even though there were only 4 people in front of me. And the line was growing a lot longer behind me. Clearly, LAB CORP NEEDS MORE WORKERS!! But giving it 2 stars, because their one employee did have a positive attitude. Also, I agree that the appointment-making process is very time-consuming and frusterating. Totally automated, so you never get to talk to a live person, and it takes 10x longer than it should to just say - Hi; can I come in on Thursday at 8 am? And I'm not sure that having an appointment gets you seen any more quickly any way. read more

1st. All hyper sensitive snowflakes, cupcakes and muffin tops who demand everyone be utopically gleeful upon you presentation for "lab work", GET OVER YOURSELF. It's a lab, nurses drawing body fluids for the process of the medical industry. DO not hate the players, hate the system... 2nd. CHECK in; Efficient, straight fwd, though my reservation saw me 15 minutes late , STILL better than the European nationalized system I dealt with in UK! 3rd. Nurse Elvie was awesome! I refused to sign the credit card p-work because I already pay 13k a yr for the best PPO health care in the world. 1st draw by ELVIE was spot on, quick as expected. Did I forget anything "YELP'? 4th. Oh yes, both girls up front working an otherwise unappreciated and overworked field were both pleasant and attentive, not like a helicopter mom some have grown up under. So, get your draw & sample on, then move onto taking pictures of your lunch & dinner and brag how great it is we all have you to rate where you eat etc. read more

I was SOOO nervous walking in here. I read so many bad reviews! But my schedule wasn't allowing me to go somewhere further from my house. So I sucked it up and made an appointment for Friday afternoon. There were a few people in but they honored my appointment. Beatrice was amazing and professional from the start. She was very discreet when needing to question one of the tests I was getting for possible pregnancy, not that I was embarrassed. But I really loved how she handled it and I'm sure there are many who also appreciate discretion. And I only had to wait about 3 minutes to be seen. I told Beatrice I usually pass out and she told me not to worry. She kept up a distracting conversation and was so fast, I barely felt a thing. I have never been able to get up and walk out so fast. I'll be coming here any time I need blood work. read more

First off I have to say I'm not the best patient when it comes to blood draw, I've passed out every time. Finally I had a positive experience. GeriAnn was awesome she talked and distracted me and allowed my son to be there for support. I can't believe I didn't pass out this time. I hope she works here forever because I can't imagine going anywhere else after this. Thank you so much for creating a distraction and having such a great attitude with my situation. You're the absolute best! read more

After reading Yelp reviews I braced myself for the worst when I needed to get blood work done here. While I admit my expectations were low, they were far exceeded. Elvie was friendly and helpful (although she did ask out loud if my tests were for infertility - thankfully they were not or that could have been rather humiliating. ) The best part? I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I found online registration and appointment making to be easy and straightforward well. read more
