I'm giving Labcorp 2-stars because of their 1-star phone service. They DO NOT return calls even though they promise they will. I've left three voice messages on three successive days. The phone rings over to voice mail each time. No one has the courtesy to respond. My health issues are important to me but they don't seem to care at this point. I don't get it. Why make a promise that you have not intention on fulfilling? If you don't want to provide service, just say that and I'll drive to your location and ask my question there where you can't ignore me. But stop wasting my time on unreturned calls. As for taking blood and getting results, they do this very well. I often have tests results the very next morning, though getting them is a bit peculiar depending on who ordered the tests. I've had good experiences there but their phone service is complete absent. read more

Was really taken aback visiting this lab. Opened the door straight into another person at check in counter. Literally no space in this location to move about comfortably. Sitting in the lobby when we all hear a tech from the back yell "Sally for the drug screen come back" and the girl next to me in shock got up and walked through door to the tech. I get the feeling they are completely understaffed and that is how they operate. It's convenient so I will go back- but I will be super prepared will all my ducks in a row and be prepared for the chaos. read more

For 3 years in a row I have scheduled an appointment 3 months ahead and they have cancelled those in less than 24 hours before the appointment saying office is closed, appointment cancelled, office won't open again for several days. This is insane!!! I spent 3 hours driving around to find a labcorp office to get my lab work done and all had a 2-3 hour wait. I needed to fast to do the test and I'm sick and it was soooo difficult. I even called the corporate office for help and they could only look up what I looked up online to find an office. At the lab locations, no one has time to answer phone calls so you can't get any information on the phone. Very poor customer service. I don't blame the workers, but the management for this. Very unstable and reliable appointment and phone calls are NEVER returned to get the information needed. So unprofessional! I wish I had good things to say, but I don't. I have had a lot of blood draws on a frequent basis. My veins are beat up bad, especially after my recent life-saving major surgery. Was weary considering the reviews but I had a great experience. Checking in virtually was easy and I was seen close to my appointment time despite the lobby being full. Staff was considerate, educated and I was in and out within twenty minutes. In the past I have been close to fainting with drawing blood. I warned the staff before hand who were mindful to make me feel comfortable and safe had the situation arrived. Small space but was very modern, sanitary and well equipped for whatever type of lab draw you needed. I will return to this location. read more

Horrible service at Moraga location. Scheduled a labs appt. back in the first part of April for May 15, got a cancellation email May 14 saying office is closed May 11-23. Rescheduled my appt. for May 28, got a cancellation email May 27 saying office closed May 25-29. If they knew they would be closed during scheduled appointments, why not let people know before the first day they're closed instead of day before the appt.? Had to find another LabCorp with last minute availability in order to have the tests complete before my annual exam, but guess what? All LabCorps are independent from each other so they have no system to access the labs order that my doctor sent to the Moraga location. Spent almost an hour at the other LabCorp trying to get ahold of my doctor's office so they could resend the order last minute to them. I see from other reviews that this isn't unusual for the Moraga location, so I would advise staying away from this one. read more

I had to go get some blood drawn and the phlebotomist ( I believe her name was Fang) was super nice and knew what she was doing!

When I entered, I saw too many people stuffed in one room all coming for urine drug screening or other things. The office is short staffed and not enough people run this place so everyone had to wait 1.5 hour for their turn. I however did not waste my time and made my to-do phone calls in the waiting room while everyone awkwardly heard my conversation and arguments on the phone lol read more

Office is small but if you go early in the morning it seems like there was a good amount of parking left. DO NOT GO HERE AS A WALK IN FOR EMPLOYER DRUG TESTING. They do not take walk ins for this, instead go to the Labcorp at 4033 Third Ave in San Diego. This location on Moraga only does drug testing by appointment between 1-3 pm. Staff seemed very kind and polite ! This location waiting room is pretty small. I say go early in the morning right when they open if you have to go to this location, so you're not waiting a super long time! read more

Extremely unprofessional and rude. As I was getting checked in one of the employees in the back kept interrupting the woman helping me and asking her if they wanted to "switch jobs". When there was an issue with my insurance the lady who kept interrupting came up and was very rude and was unwilling to help me. The information she was giving me was incorrect and she seemed as if she just wanted me to leave. Unfortunate that this location is closest to my home. Covid-19 Review #7 Don't tell anyone but needles scare me! It's my second time coming to this location. Once before the pandemic started to shut everything down in San Diego. Despite having to be poked twice both times I didn't get a bruise and my experience was good. I have small veins that roll. I never know when it's a good time to tell the phlebotomist this. Sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't. Both times Phil and Joe were working and it seems they have a good working relationship. Before you go: You can schedule a visit online or walk-in. Both times I did walk-in. There are self-check-in tablets. You need your insurance information and your ID. It will be easier if you have a hard copy of your lab slip. The second time I had it in my email. The Wi-fi service there isn't too good. I had to step out of the office in order to get service. They accept health account spending account cards, debit cards, or credit cards. This location is closed for lunch from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm. Inside: The first time I went over half of the seats were taken. It took almost 30 minutes to be seen. The second time I was the only patient there. I wondered if they were doing testing for Covid-19 and Joe said no. There are several chairs inside, a water dispenser (the cups were removed), and posted paper explaining how they are taking precautions of Covid-19. Patient Experience: Joe and Phil do great explaining the process. Joe and Phil take turns helping check people in and administering the tests. Overall: This is in a convenient location for me. There is a decent amount of parking. I enjoy the small talk Phil and Joe offer and the banter they have towards each other. If my doctor needs another blood test I plan to return to this location. read more

10/19/2023 I came here early morning for a drug screening test but surprisingly It was jam-packed in the waiting area. The express check-in via kiosk was easy thou, but the staff didn't greet me at all. I guess they're understaffed. Maybe? So I waited about an hour and 15 minutes to call my name. I guess walk-in services are not recommended. Perhaps booking an appointment is a must. Furthermore, with Limited parking, and no public restroom in the building, I found that other reviews are true. I will give zero stars if possible. ***To the management, improve your service so people will not waste their time, get a larger lab site, and train your employees to be courteous. Updated 10/25/2023 Care quality was not good. After I spent time waiting last week just to finish my drug test, it appears that they messed up the result. How do you mess up the result? So, My prospective employer asked me to redo the drug screen test again. Will I recommend this place? NOT. Will never go back here again. read more

I've been to this location twice and they were closing about 5-10 minutes early both times. Either update your hours or honor your promised hours of operation. This is basic business ethics and is made even more important by the medical nature of your business. Also, I respect a business's conditions of operation--their house; their rules--but when your own staff violates your own terms, how trustworthy and reliable are these promised conditions and by implication, other promises that are contingent on your staff's integrity? Here, I am referring specifically to the promised condition of wearing face masks, even more crucial in a medical facility. You can see in my photos that staff are not covering their noses, and if you see other patients not covering their noses, how can you expect staff to enforce proper coverage? In a different healthcare clinic, staff actually both wear face masks properly as well as enforce patients to follow suit. I've read from credible sources that almost all doctors wear face masks properly; it's the nurses that are not consistent. In my ample observations, it's usually the scientifically illiterate--notwithstanding scientific hubris and/or the Dunning-Kruger effect--who fall prey to conspiracy theories; this may explain the discrepancy between doctors and far less educated nurses. Of course, education alone isn't the answer, but the non-causal correlation is there (the cause is another can of worms outside the scope of a Yelp review). My point is that I wonder if Labcorp staff, the managerial included, is more nurse, practitioner or not, than doctor. The healthcare industry is unlike others in that the gravity of one's health demands far more stringent margins of error so strictness and integrity are even more paramount. We're not ordering cheeseburgers here--we're ordering potential livelihoods. Unfortunately, the unfulfilled promises in hours and conditions of operation paint an untrustworthy picture. But most salient is the lack of seriousness they have regarding patient safety. Avoid if you have other options; complain so providers refer to competition and/or Labcorp cracks down on this location (I don't know if other locations are better). read more

This business has some weird reviews on here. I almost skipped this location before I decided to chance it. It seems like they have a lunch break so I came around 12:55pm. They opened at 1pm and I waited for about 30 minutes before I was able to give my sample. There were about 8 people in front of me for perspective. The front desk was SO sweet and I had no issues. Last Fall, I was terrified to get a blood draw after a nightmare experience at LabCorp in Hillcrest. I came to this location after seeing reviews and had a great experience! The vibes are positive, it's very clean, and the staff is so nice and welcoming! My fave is BERTHA - she drew my blood without any issues or "over stabbing" to locate a vein (unlike At Hillcrest). Shout outs also to Vince, Charlie & Justin! A little out of my way, but I'll gladly use more gas to get my labs done here with this awesome team! read more

Very convenient location. I felt that I was served pretty fast, plus the staff were stellar. I walked in after the staff got back from lunch. Roughly when they reopened again. They have this mightyyyy fine speedy check-in at either 3 of the tablets and made it so much easier than pulling up all your documents individually. Just remember to bring your ID, and insurance information. Took less than 3 minutes to check in. I took a seat and less than a minute, I was called in. I would like to note that 3 ppl walked in with me and they were seen promptly after me as well. I came in for a breath test and blood work. Everything went smooth for the most part. Breath test? I just chugged citrus water, waited 15 mins then blew into a air pocket. Sample sent. Bam. Easy weezy lemon squeezy. Shortly after, was my blood test. And the guy who had drawn my blood was pretty swift about it. This guy knew what he was doing. I didn't need to have like 3 different needle pricks trying to find out where my veins were. (it had happened before) My blood was drawn in less than 3 minutes. He did an awesome job. Overall, this LabCorp is a great location. Parking is plenty, and I like this location additionally because I could just walk on over as it's close to my home. The hill entering the lot gives me anxiety, however. This is my closest location for a drug screen. It's opened 7:30am-12pm. Closed 12-1pm for lunch. Open until 3:30pm. I came right at 1pm and there was about 4 people ahead of me. 15-20 minutes wait. Schedule an appointment if you want a quicker process. Screening itself took less than 5 minutes. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and had an attitude. One of the guy didn't have his account number and she totally snapped at him. I understand that she was the only person doing the drug screen but she could of been nicer. That kind of ruined everyone's else mood. Other than that the place is clean and small. read more

To get to the point, I was super annoyed this location was closed for lunch when I specifically left work on my lunch and even called this location to make sure they weren't closed! Obviously, I did not learn from this phone call that they are closed for lunch because "we are closed for lunch" was not said in their hours of operation! When I walked into the lab I was not greeted at all. I was actually yelled at by the front desk that they are closed. When I explained that i had called and it didn't mention that they were closed for lunch, the woman snapped at me and said that they have to eat too. Hey, I've been there I get it! Well apparently it depends on the day. My first experience here was great. I went back expecting the same nice treatment and speedy service. It was a busy time for them and I was treated rudely. I'm not a pushy person. I checked in and was told to wait where I was comfortable. I waited in my car. When I received the text, I walked inside. I waited until one of the patients at the front desk finished using the kiosk, then approached the desk to let them know I was there. Then the front desk employee was snappy to me. I said I was texted. She snapped "I know!". I said that I just didn't know what to do. Later she tried to apologize but it's not ok to take your stress out on innocent people. Also, I was disturbed when a lady was trying to check in and asked if they had any appointments or were they booked up for the day? The front desk lady told her they were booked up for the day. The patient said she was going to leave and try to find an appointment at another location. At no point did the employee tell her that they take walk ins! I should have spoken up but had already been snapped at by the front desk lady. So your experience will vary based on the day and the stress level of the staff. The drug test collection guy was nice as usual. I won't bother making the 40 minute drive to come to this location again. read more

This team is super helpful, patient and accommodating! Will there potentially be a wait? Yes - it's a lab and most medical-related facilities are slammed these days (even pre-COVID). You can help yourself out by making an appointment in advance if timing permits. Their COVID-safe set up is great with plenty sanitizers and planned social space, and a nice courtyard area with text notifications for waiting outside once inside fills up. As for my personal experience - I was already behind in getting some labs done because I got a late response from my medical team on the timing for these labs, and unfortunately both local LabCorps were out of a specific kit needed for one of my tests. Combined with a holiday weekend and my best friend in town filling my schedule, along with other appointments keeping me busy, it started to feel like the perfect storm of not being able to get these done- and they were important. I think Amanda and Joe sensed my attempt at stressed patience and were super clear in communicating when they expected the kits to be in, took my number and even called me personally as soon as they came in. Joe even texted the next closest lab to check on their kit supply for me. I would never expect such accommodating customer service from a busy lab and it was so greatly appreciated. Once in for the tests, I'm usually a big problem child when it comes to drawing blood. But it was seem less and mostly painless - just the tiny pinch. Everything ran smooth and quickly.
