I was in Lab corp Palo Alto on Thursday 3 rd of July . I had been in once before for bloodwork .The person taking my blood was so condescending , rude . When I left she had the cheek to ask for a yelp . I was tempted . That was a few months ago . On Thursday I had to drop off a sample .. Fast and easy and didn't think I would get the same person . Luck would have it , she was there . Even though it was a simple fast transaction she managed to make it unpleasant . As we were finished she said , " You can go now ." . You can go now !! Short opening hours and requires an appointment. The kicker is that you have to wait a couple of days for your appointment, so it's just too bad for you if you need an urgent test. read more

Yoy! My experience was remarkably horrible. Are all LabCorps this bad? I felt like I was getting my blood drawn after LabCorp had just kicked out the chiropractor tenant and rearranged their furniture to make the semblance of a "lab". I would pay to NOT go back there again. The Redwood City location was unstaffed by one woman working both the front desk and the lab in a horrible mood, trying to turn away people left and right and never trying to put her mask above her nose. She told me there was no such thing as a 1:45 appointment until I showed her my confirmation. Her horrible mood continued while she drew my blood. Don't believe what the website told you - at this location - no appointment, no go! This location put a letter size printer paper on the door saying "APPOINTMENT ONLY" The person in charge - or I should say only person there - he said his name is "Rodale" - not sure on the spelling. He is sarcastic, rude, and unprofessional - sad! read more

I went here because my naturopathic doc has a tie up with this place. Paid at my naturopath in advance and labcorp they did not run a specific test they charged me for and now I am stuck with filing the paperwork for a refund what a waste of time. read more

LabCorp is a terrible company. This location randomly closes with no relationship to posted hours. The employees are unhelpful but in ways that point to poor management. Still unable to my labs done after 3 visits. read more

The woman technician couldn't draw blood from my "small veins." But she did try with two butterfly needles with no blood drawn. It was the worst experience at LabCorp Redwood City. She told me to go to San Mateo Labcorp and so I did. San Mateo Labcorp knows what they're doing. They drew my blood without a hitch (with a regular needle) -- and without any pain. I made an appointment and I was able to cruise on in there. Definitely make an appointment I saw at least twenty people in line and that was just to register this was at 8:45 on a Tuesday. I went to Redwood City LabCorp for some blood works yesterday. A very warm and kind phlebotomist_ Liza welcomed us. After checking in with the paper works, she found out that a special blood work kit was out of stock at her site. She kindly helped to check by calling the staff at Palo Alto to make sure the special kit was available there and transfer me to LabCorp at Palo Alto. And I complete my blood work smoothly and satisfied at Palo Alto. The phlebotomist at Palo Alto told me that Liza was his mentor and she is the best, and I couldn't agree more with him. Feeling so blessed and grateful that I met Liza and the phlebotomist at Palo Alto, they are both so kind to me. Thanks a lot! read more

This location has gone completely downhill since the girl that worked there left. On many occasions appts are made and client is rejected by technician there saying there is no appointment, when client has QR code and confirmation number saying they do have an appointment. Of course Labcorp has no phone number to voice this complaint, so I am bringing it here. Any suggestions or recommendations of a Lab in the Redwood City area that honors their appointments is great appreciated. read more

Really nice and helpful staff. I accidentally arrived right before their lunch hour and they still accommodated me, and were incredibly friendly. Had to get blood drawn and they were very gentle and I hardly felt it. Really kind and efficient. Great experience! read more

Showed up at 8:07 for an 8:15 AM appointment. They only take walk-ins from 7:30 to 8 AM. You can only make an appointment for 8 AM or afterwards. Did an easy computer self check in. Was seen within five minutes. The phlebotomist was an absolute pro. One stick, and done... And I usually have difficult veins. I think I was out of there in 10 minutes read more

This was easily the best experience I've had for a blood draw. I didn't have an appointment, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I only waited three minutes from when I checked in until I was called. The technician who checked me in and took my blood was very friendly. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. The icing on the cake was that there was no bruising! read more

Well, it has now been five years since my initial review and Liza and LabCorp are still an annual stop for me. I was just there again this morning and Liza is as sweet as ever and is still an absolutely superb phlebotomist. I rarely trust anyone with a needle in their hand, but I have complete trust in Liza. This is my second visit and last to Labcorp in Redwood City. On my first visit I was met with a stern and cranky employee that treated me like I was a problem and not a customer. Today I arrived before lunch and was told that they were closed for lunch. It was only 11:55 and bloodwork usually only take about 5 minutes. I understand the need for employees to have lunch but if you say that you close at 12:00 noon then you should take patients until that time. But what is most troubling about this location is this unhappy employee. Today I came in contact with the same cranky, stern, and frowning employee. There are a ton of places to get lab work done and I don't need to be poked in the arm by someone who is angry or unhappy with their patients. read more

This company deserves to go out of business. I have no problem with their laboratory services - it's usually quick and efficient. However, their billing department is completely incompetent. I have had the same simple blood test drawn about 10 times now -- it is always the same test, with the same doctor's requisition. And EVERY TIME the bill is different. Once they billed it as a vision test. Another time they billed it as an infertility test. Another time they billed it as an "unlisted special service". When I call them about the error, they always INSIST that it is not their fault -- it is my doctor's fault, it is my insurance company's fault -- it is anyone's but their fault. And they send me off on a wild goosehunt contacting other companies that have not done anything wrong. But it in the end, it is always their fault. Every time. To get the bills resolved, I have had to contact the Better Business Bureau twice to intervene on my behalf. It is completely unacceptable to force customers to spend hours on the phone trying to sort out bills that are billed incorrectly, while continuing to insist that it is other people's fault. They will not continue to be a viable business if they cannot fix this. read more

I hate doing blood work, I'm the most chicken that you would ever meet. This place is absolutely amazing, Liza took care of me so well. She is very organized, the pro at what she does. I went here not long ago and liked the phlebotomist (nice and very good at her job) but the place is dirty and the medical supplies are just stacked out in the open shelves, making the place look unprofessional. The room where they take your blood and the restroom look as though they're cleaned every few months which doesn't really inspire trust. I sure wish my insurance covered Quest. read more

This location has RE-OPENED. It is not closed. Currently it is sparsely furnished, but the lab tech is really nice and careful. I'm glad they decided to re-open this location. Before I had to trek down to Palo Alto or up to San Mateo. This is much more convenient. read more

We came from Palo Alto to the Redwood City location and got there at noon, just when she was closing for lunch. It is Lab Corp's policy to close at noon and they are strict about it but the Phlebotomist heard we had an urgent situation and she helped us anyway. She couldn't have been nicer! This place rocks! Made an appointment for a 1 hour glucose test online yesterday for 3 pm today. Was running late and attempted to call at 2.50 pm to give a heads up but got a recording. Was surprised that this location is open only until 4pm. (Somehow i was thinking its open until 4.30). I got worried because my blood test is requiring me to stay there for 1hr and im already late. Since i was already on my way I decided to just stop by anyways. Arrived at 3.15pm and was greeted by nice lady- Liza who had me to sign in. I explained her my situation and wasn't even expecting she would take me today. But she did! After she completed my paper work she took my blood. That was my first painless experience ever. I have very small veins and i always end up with two three sticks. This time i didnt even feel the needle. I really appreciate she had to stay because of me after hours. Thank you for good service.
