With no approval in sight, I decided to make an appointment with CA Advanced Imagining just to get our name in the appointment book. I told Andrea about the wait time for our approval - she got our information and called our insurance and got approval in less than two hours! I'm so grateful for this since my husband has been limping around and in pain for days. I feel that although the doctor's office said our insurance was "pending" and they can take up to 7 business days to approve, I don't think the called it in at all since Andrea got in done in two hours. Husband was in and out in an hour and he's giving the place a thumbs up too.

My whole-body Prenuvo scan was quite an experience!…read more The clinic was clean and has changing rooms and a nice resting area with coffee and snacks, there were 5 friendly staff onsite - 2 at front desk and 3 inside the scan room. I was asked to change into scrubs and put all personal belongings in a locker. Then I was led into the scan room. The machine looked new and bigger than those old school MRIs. I was asked to lay on a platform, they put a bunch of stuff around me to secure my position, then the scan began - head first, followed by chest scan, during which I was asked to do a breathing exercise - breath in, breath out and hold for 15seconds, that repeated for like 10mins. The voice instruction was loud and clear, and you get used to it after the first couple rounds. After that you can relax while the rest of the body gets scanned. The entire process took around 75mins. Like all MRI machines it makes all kinds of noises and pretty loud, they gave me a headphone which helped a bit. I chose to listen to music, you can also choose to watch Netflix - there's a screen on top. The results were ready in about 10 days, then they scheduled a call to go over everything in details with me. There were some interesting findings on my liver that I never knew! Thanks to Prenuvo now I'm getting the issues addressed. 5 star experience across the board, highly recommended for anyone that cares about your own health!

Prenuvo sat on results for 2 weeks before they released them to me and the person telling my results was not competent. This 2nd Prenuvo I did the executive. I got my MRI results back in 5 days. Prenuvo scheduled my consultation for 2 months out. A week before my consultation, Prenuvo sent me an email and canceled for no reason. I called and stated my labs, brain scan, and body composition was not released to me. I had labs that needed urgent following up just sitting there. Very frustrating. What's the point of doing all this if they are just sitting on the results. You have to be very proactive and follow up.

I had a very frustrating experience with BodySpec and would not recommend them if you care about…read moreaccuracy and consistency in your body composition data. My report initially contained a confirmed processing error. After I pointed it out, they "reanalyzed" the same scan and uploaded corrected results -- but the numbers for the exact same scan date (October 26, 2025) are different between the old and new reports. This includes different body fat percentages and lean mass values for the same scan, which should never happen. Despite this, they insist the updated results are "accurate" and refused to offer a complimentary rescan. What's more frustrating is that when I asked for clear validation (what exactly went wrong, what changed, and why the two reports still show different data), they avoided directly answering the most important question: why the same scan still produces conflicting results across reports. That lack of transparency is unacceptable. If a company cannot guarantee consistent results from the same scan, then the reliability of their entire service is questionable. I rely on these scans to track real progress, and this experience has completely undermined my confidence in their data. Reply to BodySpec: Once again, I want to re-emphasize that you've changed the results for the same scan THREE times!! Imagine if I had trusted your data from the beginning and never contacted your team to look into it -- I would have been relying on the wrong data. What's the point of doing the scan if the data is incorrect? All I'm asking is for you to compensate for YOUR MISTAKE by allowing me to have a complimentary rescan, and I'll let this go. But your customer service has dodged my question and is essentially saying "trust me on the data." How can I trust it after my data has changed THREE TIMES?

Easy dropoff access for those with mobility issues. Lovely neighborhood pocket park right around the corner should you need a place to just breathe. Variety of restaurants and cafes on the next block north if you need a bite to eat. Waiting room is smallish and has a tv running nonstop in one corner. There is also a charging station for phones and tablets.

You cannot make an appointment online for an X-ray - you will not be able to proceed further and it says go walk in. I tried to walk in today (Wednesday) at this clinic but then they said sorry they don't do X-rays at this location on Wednesdays. Ok.... This was not mentioned on their website anywhere for this location. I asked the front desk if other sites have X-rays today and she mentioned San Mateo "but only until like 12:30 PM or so because the tech goes around" What is the point of advertising that you can walk in anytime for X-rays when in fact the availability could be quite limited / unavailable and you wouldn't really know until you get there? Their website has an "X-ray queue" and right now it says 1 waiting for this location but they're certainly not waiting for an X-ray today since they're supposedly closed for X-rays today. What is happening! I'll try again and will try to report back on the actual experience but beware don't come to this clinic on Wednesdays for a walk in X-ray since it'll be a waste of time. UPDATE: I tried calling this clinic to double check they were open and were doing X-rays but it seemed hard to get a hold of the front desk staff. It seemed like I was being sent to a call center "next available agent" which is not super helpful, so I hung up and decided to just drive back again the next day. I was able to come back the next day and the process was generally smooth. They took my insurance and I only had to pay a $10 fee (hopefully no giant surprise bill later). The actual X-rays only took like 5 minutes not even and the tech was very courteous. Overall I would say a few improvements could be made: 1) the website needs to be updated to say don't come here on Wednesdays for X-rays because the tech is not here 2) the site should indicate any other limited availability (e.g. are X-rays actually available all day?) 3) make it easier to actually reach the front desk via phone for basic questions. 4) I think 1 text / reminder call is probably sufficient. Each visit was in and out quickly (~15 minutes). I just get the basic body scan - I'm past the age where I'm eligible for some of the other tests, which actually ignores the difference between chronological and physical age, but is probably a good guideline for most people. Keep in mimd that the data are not medically intensive - you can get a good bone density report from them, but not with the detail from one taken at a hospital.
